Abstract: Stepper motor is a common electromagnetic device, the corresponding circuit of control and driver, effective algorithm of acceleration and deceleration play a very important role in improving overall performance. Many advantages were achieved using the control system based on ATMEGA128, such as higher simplicity, low cost, high reliability, high torque at low speeds, and high motion accuracy. At the same time, by using algorithm of acceleration and deceleration, the efficiency of stepper motor is further enhanced, and the actual effect of control of stepper motor is smooth and has good results.

Abstract: In order to get over the limitationof the velocity planning method of computerized numerical control (CNC) system,a rapid S-shaped acceleration and deceleration method is presented in thispaper. In the method, the rapid solving model of S-shape velocity planning isproposed, and these displacement, velocity and acceleration formulaeof a rapid S-shape acceleration and deceleration model are derived. Compared with the proposedapproach and the traditional velocity planning method, the simulative and experimental resultsshow that the proposed method is smoother, and the machining efficiencyis greatly improved.

Abstract: In the complex high speed machining, the small segments approximated the contours curve are made up the machining path in order to satisfy the quality. It will cause break on the machine tool feed-rate, and due to limit of dynamic performance in each axis, the actual velocity will somewhat differ from the desire feed-rate, which will cause additional error on the contour. An actual feed-rate prediction model using the G-code generating from CAM system is presented in this paper, which the limits of velocities, acceleration, jerk and the case of velocity verify between segments are taken into account, the every axis actual speed and tool feed-rate, and points that programming feed-rate is not achieved in the region of its curvature mutations are calculated. The simulation results show the prediction model is efficient and can support the analysis on axis dynamic performance in high-speed machining.
