Abstract: A research of fuzzy RBF approach method based on IMGA is proposed, depending on the equivalency between RBF network and fuzzy inference, a fuzzy RBF network is designed. At the same time, the parameters and weights of the fuzzy RBF are optimized based on the immune memory genetic algorithm (IMGA), and the speed of convergence is accelerated. The optimized system is simulated by MATLAB, and compared with the original system, the approach effect of the fuzzy RBF is improved by IMGA.

Abstract: An approach is described for the in situ measurement of CO2 flux at various depths in arid soil. In this method, a sampling tube is inserted to the desired soil depth in a pre-drilled hole, and an infrared CO2 gas analyzer connected to the sampling tube is used to quantify CO2 (based on absorption of CO2 by infrared rays). In a preliminary test, the method was used to quantify CO2 concentration and flux in an arid grassland soil. The results indicated that it could be used to quantify CO2 flux in soil from 0–200 cm depths , and should be useful for estimating CO2 flux and storage at different soil depths, for estimating the change in CO2 emission from soil caused by change in land-use/land-cover, for assessing the rate of restoration of soil fertility and other soil properties in arid soils, and for monitoring leakage from geological storage of CO2.

Abstract: Aircraft noise is the chief source of the airport and its peripheral areas. CCAR imposes restriction on specific categories of aircraft and requires more strict measurements of the noise. More scientific measurement method is required to meet the progressively tighter certification standards. Test noise procedures for transport category and turbojet airplanes are analyzed in this paper. The main aspects involved are: test sit requirements, aircraft flight path guidance, aircraft position determination, take off tests, lateral tests and approach tests.

Abstract: By summing up the adverse consequences caused in the practice of the concept of “human-orientation”, it proposed the idea of “nature-orientation” is superior to “human-orientation”, and analyzed the necessity to apply the idea of “nature-orientation” in designs. Abstract: It is necessary for the whole project stakeholders to improve the level of construction safety management, which includes the owner, designer, contractor, construction supervisor, government regulators and other parties. With respect to the research about construction project safety, existing literatures mainly consider about contractor, construction supervisor and other parties. However, Design stage is the key point of affecting the construction safety management and more attention should be paid. Design stage provides the basis to control the project safety risks in construction stage. Aiming to give better play for designers in construction safety management, this paper probed project safety management system, suggested the approach of designer roles in construction project safety management, analyzed the challenges if designer took part in construction safety management, and gave some countermeasures on how to take advantage of the designer in improving the level of construction safety.

Abstract: This paper investigates ways of deploying ecological principles in the planning and design practice of landscape architecture. As a modern profession, one of the central tasks of landscape architecture is of protecting and recovering our environment. The profession is now in the demand in China, because of China’s rapid urban development and the consequent environmental problems. A case study of the planning and design of the Li Lake area provides evidence of how the profession is carrying out such a task. The study also identifies the disconnection between ecological and cultural strategies for recovering a particular landscape.

Abstract: The particle swarm optimization (PSO)-based approach to resolve the resource-constrained project scheduling problem with the objective of minimizing project duration is introduced in this paper. Computational analyses are provided so as to investigate the performance of the PSO-based approach for the resource-constrained project scheduling problem. The results shows that it is feasible to apply PSO to construction schedule optimization.
