Abstract: Production planning and control is becoming important issue in production as well as design process of products to be manufactured. Both of the fields require as accurate as possible computational model to control and predict manufacturing process. Since the variety of techniques is currently introduced, still there exists a gap for improvement. Most of efficiency calculation models addressed to whole production efficiency and model in this paper is dedicated for efficiency of particular product. This model could be also used for product design phase. Application of proposed model would facilitate and simplify the product design and production control.

Abstract: Heavy duty machine tool has some special points, such as large size, complex structure, long cycle at Installation and commissioning, high requirements assembly processes and so on. Therefore, this paper established a mathematical model to transform the origin parts of the gantry machining center into assembly special form and creates a software as a plug-in for Solidworks based on it, proposes an easy but very practical assembly method based on Multi-body system under virtual environment. This method can calculate assembly deviation caused by manufacturing tolerance very quickly, and bring the sensitivity information clearly. Assembly deviation sensitivity and assembly method proposed in this paper can provide a way for the virtual assembly of heavy-duty CNC machine tools, Thus provide an important theoretical basis to improve the performance of the machine

Abstract: Nowadays, big expansion and innovation are emerging in all development area of technologies and technological devices. Probably industrial robots and manipulators belong to development too. Industrial robots and manipulators belong to progressive elements of automation. At present industrial robots and manipulators are used for manipulation with various types of objects. The proper using of gripper that creates important task in manipulation in term of object grasp and choose of right type of gripping jaws it is possible to manipulate with object that are fragile and soft. However at this time is very important check of the all time of the process assembly and disassembly in each time. The current information about automation process assembly or disassembly are evaluation to the control unit system.

Abstract: Mass customization provides products with high variety on demand, at a cost not significantly greater than mass production. Problem at this point is that these product variants lead to process/resource variants what has a negative impact on complexity of manufacturing complexity of such products. In this paper, we present a methodological framework for creating all possible product variants based on unlimited number of optional components while assuming with at least two constant initial components. Development of all possible product architectures is further applied for investigation the impact of product variety decisions on structural complexity of assembly processes. According to the assembly process variants created a specific complexity measure can then be assigned.

Abstract: The presented paper deals with the influence of manufacturing process on the stress state of mechanical parts. The problem is presented in the assembly of the belt drum. The connections of individual parts are realized by press fitting and welding technology. The practical use of the belt drum shows the initiation of cracks in the weld body. The presence of press fitting connection in the structure is marked as the origin of high stresses in the weld body. The paper proposes the new assembly method in order to reduce the stress level in the weld structure and points the assembly method as one of important factors influencing the stress state of mechanical parts.

Abstract: Augmented Reality (AR) is a developing area of virtual reality research. The world environment around us provides a wealth of information that is difficult to duplicate in a computer. This is evidenced by the worlds used in virtual environments. An augmented reality system generates a composite view for the user. It is a combination of the real scene viewed by the user and a virtual scene generated by the computer that augments the scene with additional information. In paper is presented the example of virtual and augmented reality application in area of molding tool assembly realized by author.

Abstract: To address the uncertainty of production environment in aircraft engine assembly, an adaptive optimization scheduling algorithm is designed for an aircraft engine assembly line in knowledgeable manufacturing. A Q-learning adaptive scheduling model of aircraft engine assembly is built on the objective function of minimizing earliness penalty. Simulation experiments indicate that the proposed algorithm outperforms other scheduling rules much. Especially, better results are generally achieved with the increase in number of engines to show good adaptive performance.

Abstract: Design For Assembly (DFA) is a tool to evaluate the design of parts and the products assemblability. Additionally, DFA is a key tool to reduce both cost and assembly time. DFA includes a set of techniques and procedures that, when applied properly, makes the product assembly more efficient. Assembly takes between 20% and 60% of production time, and represents between 25% and 75% of the total cost of the manufactured products. Existing techniques consider weight and size restrictions to assess the design features of the products. All those components not considered within the weight and size constraints are qualified in equal way. For the scope of this research large and heavy parts are defined as parts that measure above one meter and weight from five kilograms to five tons. Most products of large size have assemblies and subassemblies. Additionally there are a number of processes for handling an assembly of large and heavy components. Despite the information identified, further research focused to improve the knowledge in assembly methods is needed. This paper presents the state of-the-art in the assembly of large and heavy components analysis and to be a reference for future research.

Abstract: Actual trends in manufacturing are characterized by production broadening, innovation cycle shortening, and the products having a new shape, material and functions. The production strategy focused on time needed change from the traditional functional production structure to flexible manufacturing cells and lines. Production by automated manufacturing system (AMS) is one of the most important manufacturing philosophies in the last years. The main goals of the project we are involved in lies on building a laboratory in which will be located a flexible manufacturing system consisting of at least two production machines with NC control (milling machines, lathe). These machines will be linked to a transport system and they will be served by industrial robots. Within this flexible manufacturing system a station for the quality control consisting of a camera system and storage system will be also located. The design, analysis and improvement of this manufacturing system, specially with a special focus on the communication among devices constitute the main aims of this paper. The key determining factors for the manufacturing system design are: the product, the production volume, the used machines, the disposable manpower, the disposable infrastructure and the legislative frame for the specific cases.
