Abstract: This paper establishes an assembly planning model combined with the actual assembly process of the complex equipment and based on the equipment characteristic & interactive features. Adding constraints model for complex assembly steps which ensure the assembly validity by the hierarchical constraint assembly drawing built through a detailed analysis of complex constraint relations between the blocks and layers. The fact shows that the model can effectively express the establishment of the assembly sequence based on the equipment level information and hierarchical constraint relations, and in order to achieve the assembly relationship the decomposition and timing, make the interactive process is simple and easy to operate.

Abstract: Traditional injection mould development needs longer cycle and higher cost, while the use of virtual assembly technology can greatly reduce the cost of the design process. Besides, the cost of newly designed products injection mold shaping and its die trial was very expensive; yet virtual mold assembly system can reduce the cost in the process of actual assembly. The simulation system of injection mold assembly and modeling can be designed by applying the virtual reality technology and its virtual roaming displaying can be achieved with external control and display devices on the virtual interaction platform of the Nvision. Finally utilizing man-machine interface technology can make users immersed in a virtual environment, realize man-machine interaction and provide a brand-new information exchange interface superior to the traditional manifestation way.

Abstract: Assembly process has a complicated influence on dynamic characteristics and the product performance. However, the information model of the non-geometric process parameters isn’t considered by the existing assembly modeling methods. Based on the further developing of the traditional hierarchical structure, the assembly process layer hierarchical structure was obtained. By acquiring the assembly feature constraints hierarchy tree in Pro/E, and re-modeling the hierarchy tree information, a model of the assembly process hierarchy tree was proposed, and its information model was established. The software instance showed the application of the assembly modeling method. Computer aided alignment showed the proposed approach superior in the assembly process planning, managing and tracking. By the key assembly parameters information modeling, data for subsequent product alignment analysis was supported.

Abstract: According to the requirement of collaborative product development, a networked collaborative design and manufacturing system is put forward. A neuter digital assembly model which is independent from all kinds of the commercial CAD software is set up. The quick planning of the assembly sequences and the automatic search of the assembly dimension chain can be realized by the simulation.

Abstract: According to the characteristics of aerospace product, the model representation and storage of the rigid part and cable harness is proposed. The Dendritic Correlative Model of Mixed Assembly of Rigid and Flexible Parts (DCMMA-RFP) is introduced based on the hierarchical model and graph model. The assembly model which realizes the lightweight storage can clearly represent the hierarchy relation and assembly process of aerospace products. The assembly modeling process in the virtual assembly environment is detailed described. Finally the effectiveness of DCMMA-RFP is verified by an example.
