Abstract: In order to realize special trapezoidal thread production more quickly and simply, a new processing method is presented. Based on the shape analysis of the spiral curve, spiral surface discrete algorithm is discussed. Spiral surface is discretized in to numerous tiny straight segments, and consequently the trapezoidal thread machining can be accomplished by just using G01. Simulation and experiment results show that this processing method is feasible and with high production efficiency.

Abstract: Automatic programming and process diagnosis are the essential function to drive the Numerical Control (NC) machine tool with probes to measure the products and evaluate the quality of process in every inspection procedure based on on-machine measurement (OMM), especially in the complex parts measuring, which can avoid the products unqualified and promote the efficiency of manufacture and inspection. In this paper, the method of automatic programming, the data exchange of measurement and the principle of process diagnosis are discussed. With a practical case based on FANUC, the effectiveness and efficiency of the method raised in this paper is validated.

Abstract: Our country is manufacturing industry power in the world, NC machining is used in mechanical manufacturing industry widesprealy. With the development of manufacturing industry, NC machining strides forward super-speed machining step by step. In order to achieve the machining requirement of speediness and high-precision of complex parts, automatic programming becomes the main programming pattern of NC programming. Ensuring validity and optimizing of NC programs is fundamental demand of automatic programming. So as to test validity and optimizing of NC programs, NC simulation is obtained widespread use in the process of programming.

Abstract: An automatic programming controller system based on the milling processing feature was proposed in this paper. Firstly, through the analysis of milling feature and the relationship of that, a part milling machining feature model is established. Secondly, on this basis, the article introduced the XML files technology into the automatic programming system and designed structure of XML files for storing parts process and shape feature information. At last, this paper sets up the automatic programming controller system composed of the human-machine interface module; XML files access module and NC program algorithm module. The advantage of the controller is easy to maintain and upgrade and there is a certain practicality in machining.

Abstract: The paper analyses the method of line contact machining which is for side milling. And researches the all-software CNC based on line contact machining which running on Win NT OS. The system controls the side-surface of the cutting tool to process the whole side of work piece at one time. Whats more, the system includes a graphics automatically programming system based on line contact of machining.

Abstract: The process of surface design and programming method of NC machining with Pro/E is introduced. By designing and NC machining of fan blades, the method of designing and automatic programming of free form surface by using of parameters materialized is described. And its cutting path is planed reasonably. At last, the NC program is derived.

Abstract: Helical rotor is a core component of helical-lobe compressor. Analysis was made on the geometrical properties of tooth curves. Using standard spherical milling cutter on 4-axis NC machine, normal migration method was used to rotor surface processing. Based on the generation characteristics of helical rotor surface, object-oriented design method is used to achieve automatic programming system of helical rotor. The calculation of helical rotor end face profile lines and cutter location point are realized, and over cutting analysis is carried out to generate high efficient numerical control processing program.

Abstract: In this paper, a method of NC process information extraction and import to template file based on Process Recording Files and database was proposed, which provides an effective way for NC process information sharing and reuse, and made positive effect on current situation in CNC manufacturers, such as: type of product is relative stable, process of CAM programming has lots of duplication, process parameters are dependent on programmers, the processing quality is instable and so on. The Process Recording Files are from mainstream heterogeneous CAM softwares, such as: PowerMILL, UG/CAM, which used to record CAM programming process, macro files from PowerMILL and UG/CAM are belongs to this kind of file.

Abstract: In order to improve product manufacturing efficiency and quality, the paper brings up a method of building automatic programming template for the parts in same category with the help of an excellent programming platform --Unigraphics NX. It relieves automatic programming staff from repetitive work and improves the product manufacturing efficiency. The actual application result indicates that the method has certain practicality. Meanwhile, it also provides general design method for these similar parts.

Abstract: IGES (Initial Graphics Exchange Standard) is a general graphics data exchange standard, which has been widely used for data exchange between different CAD/CAM systems. But the inherent defect of IGES makes it difficult to use in the field of automatic programming. This article focuses on the automatic programming of holes processing. Entities were labeled with different entity number, on which the hole entity could be distinguished and extracted based. The intersection lines of hole and NURBS surface could be calculated by NURBS surface intersection algorithm. The redundancy of intersecting lines is a key problem. This article gives an intuitive treatment.
