Abstract: More and more high strength steel panels are used in the Auto assembly for the reason of reducing pollution emissions and fuel consumption. The springback predication with different drawing styles for A pillar reinforcement plate is studied in this paper. The drawing process is optimized with different height drawbead for getting a reasonable forming result without obvious crack areas. An open drawing is used to study the possibility of reducing the blank size, but the measuring results show that the springback value predicted with close ends drawing is very close to the real tryout results and more lower than open ends drawing. So the open end drawing method can not be used in the tryout from the perspective of reducing the springback value.

Abstract: The die manufacturing is very important for the automobile industry. For the die manufacturing process is very complicated the trial-and-error method is still used. In this paper the full flow of precise die face design process for automobile die is studied in detailed. First the primary drawing die face layout is explained. And the initial information for blank formability simulation and primary die surface design is summarized. For the precise die face design process the blank thinning rate and die deformation are studied according to the two simulation results combined. The industrial application shows that the full flow of precise die face design process for automobile die is a good way for decrease the die manufacturing cycle.

Abstract: The research status of 2-D machining of cutting edge and flanging edge of automobile die are reviewed, and the key factor that influences the cycle and cost is pointed out. According to the characteristic of NC machine command and the particular requirement of cutter location precision during cutting, a new spiral interpolation algorithm is presented based on the in-depth analysis of pre-interpolation. The influences of the height of die edges, the length of cutter’s side blade and holder collision are all considered during interpolation, which make the upper cutter blade used as much as possible without any holder collision. Finally, the high-efficient auto NC machining of 3-D die edges is realized.

Abstract: Nowadays, the tailor-welded blanks (TWBs) technology has been developing very rapidly in China. The quality of tailor-welded blanks becomes more and more important for the stable manufacturing of automotive panels. therefore, it’s very necessary to find out the key factors that influence the forming performance of tailor-welded blanks. This paper experimentally studies the effect of weld line direction on drawing performance. The tailor-welded blanks with the same material pair were used in the experiment, in which the weld line is straight and forms a certain angle with drawing force. The drawing tests were done with the different angles and values of relative position. The results show that the forming performance is related to the relative position of weld line and the angle between weld line and drawing force.

Abstract: To improve the collaboration efficiency of the networked manufacturing coalition for automobile die enterprise, the networked manufacturing system framework is put forward. Then the information model, resource model and organization structure model are studied one of the other. The information model contains three layers lengthways and the product lifecycle is divided into 5 stages on landscape; for the resource model, the resource is classified and described, the relationship between resource entities is analyzed. The participants of each member enterprise are grouped according to the task relevance in organization structure model, and collaborative discussion center is constructed for the participants to communicate. On the basis, the workflow model is then discussed, the activity in business process is described with UML, then the UML activity diagram is transformed to Petri net graph, thus the workflow model can be diagnosed and analyzed.
