Abstract: AEREX350 is a nickel-cobalt fastener superalloy developed for high temperature applications such as aerospace and petrochemical industries. The AEREX350 alloy has superior creep resistance and rupture properties similar to the other MP family alloys. As for AEREX350 alloy, scholars have carried out many studies on its cold working process, heat treatment process, stress relaxation performance and identification of precipitated phase [3-9], while very limited research on the hot deformation behavior of this interesting alloy during hot heading process. This paper is concentrated on the deformation behavior of the alloy during hot heading process.

Abstract: Aiming at the current situation of anchor bolt and cable arrangement in mine roadway support, the paper analysis the mechanical characteristics and mechanism of bolts and cables, and numerical simulation method is used to comparison and analysis of pre-tension distribution characteristics under different anchor bolt-cable arrangement. The research indicated that separate anchor bolt-cable layout in different sections, anchor bolt and cable force stable equilibrium, coordinate with each other, at this time roadway surrounding rock of shallow and deep pretension distribution more reasonable, can play a role of bolt anchor cable synergistic action, and form the best pre-tension load-bearing structure, which is helpful to keep the stability of coal roadway.

Abstract: In this article the results of round timber bolted joints with inserted steel plates tests are presented. First, unreinforced round timber specimens were tested. Mechanical reinforcement by using modified washers, steel bands, BOVA plates and boost with screws of round timber specimens based on test result was then proposed. Reinforced specimens of various densities were then tested and rate of improvement in tensile strength was established for each of five proposed reinforcement methods. Tests were carried out on EU100 pressure machine in Faculty of Civil Engineering of VŠB-TUO Ostrava.

Abstract: This paper presents the results of static tests of non-reinforced round timber bolted joints with slotted-in steel plates loaded perpendicular to the grain. This type of joints loading is particularly widespread in truss structures. Round timber test samples series were prepared to validate the behavior of a joint loaded in tension perpendicular to the grain. The joints samples were experimentally tested in the laboratory of the Faculty of Civil Engineering VŠB TU Ostrava. The test results were compared with the calculated load-carrying capacity of joints by Johansen’s yielding theory.

Abstract: The content of this paper are possibilities of using round timber in various public facilities structures (e.g. children ́s playgrounds) and in engineering constructions (e.g. watchtowers, bridges and footbridges). Specific problems of designing round timber structures, mainly in joints, are presented here.

Abstract: Aim of this article is in presentation of results of dynamic tests of reinforced round timber bolted connections with slotted – in steel plates. Multicyclic dynamic (fatigue) tests in tension were made with round timber joints on pulsator. Results of laboratory tests have been statistically evaluated and completed with graphical records of carrying capacity of connections in tension corresponding to number of loading cycles.

Abstract: This paper presents the results of static tests of non-reinforced and reinforced round timber bolted joints with slotted-in steel plates. In this article, a new approach to the reinforcement of round timber bolted joints is presented. Based on results from tension tests of timber bolted joint samples, reinforcement methods were proposed. From these, modified washers and boost with screws were chosen for further tension testing. Results were compared to unreinforced ones and rate of improvement established.

Abstract: Aim of this paper is in presentation of results of static and dynamic tests of round timber bolted connections with slotted – in steel plates. Round timber joints static tests in tension were made on pressure machine. Round timber joints multicyclic (fatigue) tests in tension were made on pulsator. Results of laboratory tests have been statistically evaluated and completed by graphical records of deformation response on loading. Samples of round timber bolt connections with slotted - in steel plates were tested for carrying capacity and deformation of a single tension – up to the failure of connection.

Abstract: Aiming at the face roadway 22109 of Cuncaota coal mine, using FLAC3D numerical simulation software, 19 of 5 groups about bolt and anchor combined support schemes were analysed and compared, and the reasonable scheme of φ18×2000mm thread steel bolt and φ17.8×6500mm anchor cable combined support was obtained. Support result of this scheme was analysed with FLAC3D software, the result show that this scheme can support the roadway effectively. Practical application show that this scheme can achieve the security, economical and effective support result, and can be used in this type of roadway.

Abstract: This paper investigates residual stress due to fillet rolling on bolts made of ATI 718Plus® superalloy. Incremental hole drilling, neutron diffraction and neutron transmission have been used to assess residual stress near the bolt head fillet. A compressive residual stress field was identified in the first 0.5 mm from the surface. Post fillet rolling solution anneal can relieve the residual stress at the fillet.
