Abstract: We propose an optimization approach to EoS (Ethernet over SDH) buffer control which the objective is to dynamically adjust the EoS buffer management registers. We will present the improved model of the traffic buffer management based on embedded MCU to control the SDRAM of the EoS chip, and setup the end-to-end system to illustrate the feasibility and advantage of the solution in buffer management when the data transport rate suddenly exceed the bandwidth of Ethernet port.

Abstract: The buffer setting and management mechanism in Critical chain method was combined with practical progress vanguard line in this paper. Then the information statistical and analysis methods of project schedule was given, and the methods are applied in project scheduling management of warship scheduled repair. With the application analysis in maintenance project shows that this methods can identify the activity chain which really lead to the lag of project scheduling. This shows that the method was given in this paper presents an applicable value for actual warship scheduled repair project scheduling management. CLC number: U672 Document id code: A

Abstract: Lean Construction attracts widespread attention since it was formally proposed in 1993, which have made far-reaching development both in the theory and practice. Construction projects seldom happen as ideally as planned because of constructions nature uncertainty and variability, which always spoil plans and become major factors that affect project performance and productivity. The goal of the construction industry is to increase the planning-reliability, to impact the productivity of workflow and hence the project performance. The attention on improve the workflow will be a practical way to avoid these bad affections. This paper, through focusing the measurement of workflow and the methods to maintain the continuous workflow, introduces all-round methods called Last Planner System and Buffer Management two key indexes for keeping continuous workflow within giving reasonable improvements for better performance in construction industry.

Abstract: Opportunistic Networks (ONs) are the newly emerging type of Delay Tolerant Network (DTN) systems that opportunistically exploit unpredicted contacts among nodes to share information. As with all DTN environments ONs experience frequent and large delays, and an end-to-end path may only exist for a brief and unpredictable time. In this paper, we employ optimal theory to propose a novel buffer management strategy named Optimal Buffer Scheduling Policy (OBSP) to optimize the sequence of message forwarding and message discarding. In OBSP, global optimization considering delivery ratio, transmission delay, and overhead is adopted to improve the overall performance of routing algorithms. The simulation results show that the OBSP is much better than the existing ones.

Abstract: In this paper, in order to guarantee more sophisticated QoS for TCP streaming, we expand the function of output buffer control mechanism in QoS-aware IP router. Specifically, we proposed the mechanism which calculates transmission band-width and buffer volume preferentially available according to flow condition only in the QoS-aware router by measuring transmitted packets per flow. Furthermore, through computer simulation, the effectiveness of our proposal is verified.
