Abstract: Injection speed is one of the most important parameters during precision injection molding. The basic theory of CMAC neural network is introduced in this paper. The compound control algorithm based on CMAC and PID is applied to injection speed control of precision injection molding. The simulation shows the compound control algorithm has high control accuracy and excellent control result.

Abstract: As a high-performance switching power supply, DC power supply is widely used in the micro grid involving new energy generation. In this paper, for the strongly nonlinear BUCK circuit (switching power supply), the cerebellar model articulation controller (CMAC) and PID compound control algorithm is proposed to achieve nonlinear system control. By using MATLAB/Simulink simulation study, results show that the system has better steady-state and dynamic performance.

Abstract: A stable direct adaptive CMAC PI controller for a class of uncertain nonlinear systems is investigated under the constrain that only the system output is available for measurement. First, a state observer is used to estimate unmeasured states of the systems. Then, the PI control structure is used for improving robustness in the closed-loop system and avoiding affection of uncertainties and external disturbances. The global asymptotic stability of the closed-loop system is guaranteed according to the Lyapunov stability criterion. To demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method, simulation results indicate that the proposed approach is capable of achieving a good trajectory following performance without the knowledge of plant parameters.

Abstract: A novel parallel control strategy based on the CMAC controller and PID control is proposed which is to solve the problem of extraneous torque which exists in the load simulator. In which, the CMAC controller realizes feed forward control, yet conventional PID controller only realizes feedback control, and using the PD algorithm improves system. The simulation results show that output of the conventional PID controller completes unceasing on-line learning by the CMAC neural network. Effectively suppress the extra torque of the load simulator, the Load Simulator system performance has been improved significantly.

Abstract: The paper describes a hybrid approach to the problem of controlling permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) with unmodelled dynamics and unknown external disturbances. First, the backstepping sliding mode (BS) controller based on the equation of PMSM is elaborated. Its effect is to achieve a stable control. Then the cerebellar model arithmetic computer (CMAC) controller is implemented to compensate uncertainties. Furthermore, the nonlinear disturbance observer (DO) is applied to estimate the time-varying lumped disturbance D(t) for improving the precision of the tracking control. The proposed CMAC-based method can acquire high control performance in the presence of disturbance and guarantee the stability of closed-loop systems on the basis of the Lyapunov theorem. The effectiveness and robustness are demonstrated through simulation results obtained for the tracking control of PMSM.

Abstract: Aimed at decreasing the tension variation during transforming process of 1+4 aluminum hot rolling mills unit in one factory of Henan, we analyzed the factors affecting tension variation and improved the tension formula of hot rolling mills process considering the influence of tension on forward slip value. The tension forming process of hot rolling mills from stand 1 to stand 4 is simulated, and the tension structure diagrams of the four-stands are constructed. Due to non-linear characteristics of the aluminum hot rolling mills tension system, conventional PID controller could not meet the requirement of the system. So we proposed the mixed control of Cerebellar Model Articulation Controller (CMAC) coupled with PID to solve the problem of online parameters control and we used Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) algorithm to optimize PID controller parameters. By simulation, it could be found that the using of PSO+CMAC significantly reduced surplus adjustment and transition time, and strip tension coupling degree among stands was also reduced.

Abstract: This paper describes an image-based visual servo tracking control scheme using CMAC neural network as object recognition feedback methodology. A web camera based image capture system is mounted on the slider robot to capture the desired object and a CMAC (Cerebellar Model Articulation Controller) based object recognition scheme is developed to recognize the captured object image. Comparing the relative location of the recognized object and the web camera, then the position feedback signal can be obtained. Using the feedback signal, a PID (Proportional-Integral-Derivative) controller is designed to track the desired object by moving a single-axis slider robot, such that the captured object image located on the center of the captured frame always.

Abstract: This paper presents an intelligent control scheme that uses different cerebellar model articulation controllers (CMACs) in aircraft automatic landing control. The proposed intelligent control system can act as an experienced pilot and guide the aircraft landed safely in wind shear condition. Lyapunov theory is applied to obtain adaptive learning rule and stability analysis is also provided. Furthermore, the proposed controllers are implemented in a DSP. The simulations by MatLab are demonstrated.

Abstract: Aiming at the nonlinear and time-variable characteristics of freeway traffic systems, a composition control method based on CMAC (Cerebellar Model Articulation Controller) and PID controller is applied to address the traffic density control problem in a macroscopic level freeway environment with ramp metering. Firstly, the second-order traffic flow model to describe freeway flow process is established. Then the principle of CMAC-PID composition control is formulated, and the learning algorithm is given in detail. Based on the model and in conjunction with feedback control theory, CMAC-PID based traffic density controller is designed. Finally, the controller is simulated in MATLAB software. The results show that this controller designed has fast response, good dynamic and steady-state performance. It can achieve a desired traffic density along the freeway mainline.

Abstract: This paper establishes the mathematical model of the system of container crane, and then introduced the CMAC and PID compound control principle and characteristics, and PID control of the position of the container crane , CMAC-PID control of the position of the container crane, and CMAC-PID control of container crane's position and angle. The simulation results show that the crane based on the CMAC and PID compound control has a very good positioning and anti-swing effect.
