Abstract: To lower the power consumption of elevator ,a Continuously Variable Transmission(CVT) is installed between traction mechanism and counterweight and optimize the mass of elevator counterweight .Adjust gear ratio by CVT,control the elevator counterweight lifting distance to adjust counterweight potential changes, the counterweight potential energy change reasonably compensate the elevator car potential changes, thereby obtaining satisfactory energy-saving effect.Use MATLAB/SIMULINK to establish the elevator traction system dynamics model to finish the power consumption analysis of elevator.

Abstract: Adaptive-mechanical CVT differs from existing CVT by absence of the hydraulic converter. The transfer mechanism contains the toothed wheels closed contour which provides definability of motion at presence only one entry. Such transfer possesses effect of power adaptation. Change of a moment of resistance leads to change of target angular speed. Dynamics problem consists in definition of parameters of transition from one power regime to another.

Abstract: Established the precise model and completed the virtual assembly of CVT with diclinic cam plate synchronous revolution and internal power shunt application of Pro/E software basing on the transmission principle. Obtained the displacement, velocity and acceleration time-dependent curves of nine plungers centroid through the simulation of transmission operation, based on the simulation analysis gaining that the transmission does not exist in dynamic and static interference, and the structure design of CVT is reasonable. Completed the processing of CVT manufacturing, experiments are carried out to verify the simulation analysis of the transmission of real.

Abstract: According to the dynamic unbalance problem of CVT with diclinic cam plate synchronous revolution and internal power shunt, using structural optimization method to make high-speed rotation counterweight balance after the bearing stress distribution to achieve the best. Put forward the improvement scheme through the analysis of dynamic simulation and theory analysis. The results show that, the improved plunger structure can reduce fluctuation amplitude of bearing support reverse force when the transmission in high speed.

Abstract: The purpose of this study is to propose a method to improve the total energy regenerated by two motors connected with Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) in the power-train during reducing speed of automobiles, such as Electrical Vehicles (EVs) and Hybrid Electrical Vehicles (HEVs). In this study, to change the regenerating condition, initial speed-ratio of the CVT was changed to change the rotation speed of the SM during reducing speed of vehicle, since regenerated energy is affected by the rotational speed of motor. In experiments and simulations, the total regenerated energy was investigated when the speed of the vehicle was reduced from 40 to 0 km/h with -1.23m/s2 of negative acceleration, while the initial speed-ratio of the CVT was changed from 0.6 to 1.4. To investigate the effect of changing the initial speed-ratio of CVT on total regenerated energy, at first, the regenerated energy was measured by a test system driven by a single motor and a CVT. The total regenerated energy by two motors was also calculated by the simulation considering properties of constitutions in the power-train. Maximum improvement of total regenerated energy by one motor was obtained when initial speed-ratio of the CVT was approximately 0.9. It was confirmed that appropriate condition of the initial speed-ratio of the CVT was existed to improve regenerated energy. Total energy which was regenerated by two motors was improved approximately 122% in maximum by determining appropriate shift condition of the CVT, compared with that of conventional power-train driven by one motor. Even when the data of regenerated energy by two motors was compared with that through gears (ig=1.0), 35.4% of improvement was obtained at the condition where the maximum improvement was obtained by two. To improve totally regenerated energy, it was more effective to set the initial speed-ratio of the CVT on the pass of speed-ratio of the CVT when the electric power was generated by two motors, compared with that by single motor.

Abstract: As most of today’s a continuously variable transmission (CVT) adopt an electro-hydraulic control system, the role of electronically controlled solenoid valves play an important stature. This paper presents a dynamic modeling and simulation of CVT hydraulic system using Matlab-simulink package and analyzes the dynamic characteristics of the CVT hydraulic system in frequency domain.

Abstract: The power available at the output of photovoltaic (PV) cells keeps changing with solar irradiation and ambient temperature because PV cells exhibit a nonlinear current-voltage characteristic. In order to gain maximum power in PV power system, a novel MPPT method combining CVT and fuzzy control was proposed in this paper. The principle of the novel MPPT method was given and the verified experiment was performed at the same time. Experiment results show that the novel MPPT intelligent multiple method have the fast tracking ability in changing weather and more tracking accuracy in stable condition simultaneously.

Abstract: In order to study the shift control of power split continuously variable transmission (PSCVT), the integrated shift dynamic models for the set of engine, magnetic powder clutch and transmission are established. The shift simulation shows that the magnetic powder clutch connecting condition can be adjusted and the shifting quality can be improved by means of controlling magnetic powders clutch field current, which at last result in the improvement of vehicle performance.

Abstract: Regulating line with the optimum fuel economy performance is investigated based on the universal characteristic map of the engine equipped on the snowmobile. The engine is supposed to run in a range near the optimum fuel economy performance regulating line with CVT speed regulating control. The dynamic model of the snowmobile is proposed, and simulation with Simulink is investigated. Though acceptable deviation occurs when compared with experimental results, reliability is validated for the model. With further amendments of the model, such as a further consideration of the slip state of the CVT when launching the snowmobile, the model can be applied to the practical engineering as an effective design tool.

Abstract: Flyweight is an important part of CVT (continuously variable transmission), whose quality affects the regulating characteristics directly. This paper investigates the influence of flyweight profile on regulating characteristics, which based on the numerical model of the rubber V-belt CVT in steady state. Ideal profile of the flyweight is described which can lead to a constant power peak engine speed. In view of manufacture, the profile is simplified to be an arc and two arcs, respectively, to view the variation of the regulating line of the CVT. Conclusion can be proposed that multi-arcs, like two arcs is better compared with the profile made up of only one constant radius arc according to the subsequence regulating characteristic of CVT.
