Abstract: As a component of market economy, real estate is running and developing in the environment of politics, society, finance and internation. The most important influencing factors of the present Chinese real estate industry are national policy, population, urbanization level and the income of the residents. The most direct factor which influence the real estate market transaction is the change of Chinese population structure since family planning. This paper elaborates mainly through the search for an aging population present situation and challenge of the urbanization process to the real estate market. It is concluded that less than 30years, the effective implement of Chinese “family planning” is completed an average of 80 years of aging process in the developed countries, the urbanization process will also continue to push forward in the future. However, because of the influence of demographic dividend to weaken, the speed will be slowed. Finally five suggestions were given from five aspects on the elderly physiological psychological characteristics, design, production, structure and sales of real estate, based on the new demographic factors challenge of the current Chinese regional real estate.

Abstract: In this paper, the Real World Design Challenge (RWDC) competition is discussed in detail. This paper highlights the need, history, and approach taken for the design of the challenge. The authors discuss how this challenge promotes Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) education and provides opportunities for high school students to acquire knowledge and experience beyond their traditional curriculum. The challenge is based around a real world problem. Students are asked to work in teams to find feasible solutions for the identified problem. The process for developing the challenge, student engagement, learning opportunities, student evaluations, publicity and recruitment efforts, design objective and timeline, and assessment metrics are some of the topics discussed. In this paper, the lessons learned from developing and running the challenge are also addressed.

Abstract: The development situation of power batteries is described in this paper. After a detailed comparison between lead-acid battery, Ni-MH battery and Li-ion battery, it is concluded that polymer Li-ion battery is the most promising power source for battery electric vehicle (BEV). Although great achievement has been obtained in Li-ion battery development, restrictions still remain on the industrialization of battery electric vehicles. Poor battery packs, patent disputes and the establishment of charging facilities are three key problems in the process of industrializing BEVs. Finally, the generalization of BEVs relies on not only marketing efforts by automotive manufacturers, but also policy support by the government.

Abstract: In the next 20 years, how many copper resources China has, when the peak demand peak comes, how great is the supply gap, and how to deal with that situation Scientific answer these questions is important premise to reasonably establish the national copper resources supply strategy, and guarantee the safety of Chinese copper resources. The next 20 years, even by low growth situation, China's copper demand will also be more than half of total of 20 century global copper consumption, the domestic copper resources supply capacity cannot satisfy the demand, external dependence will be maintained for a long time in 70% or so, which should be paid attention to, scientific deployed, and dealt with.

Abstract: Researching the development environment (DE) of urban intelligent transportation systems (UITS) can help achieve their healthy and orderly development. This article is based on the development demands of the UITS and gives a summary of the development opportunities and challenges. The analysis shows that the UITS possesses a favorable DE. National and local governments establish a range of policies to promote its development. The existing information facilities and information technology provide powerful support. However, UITS also faces a series of challenges, including management mechanisms, industrial development, availability of capital, and standards.

Abstract: It is necessary for the whole project stakeholders to improve the level of construction safety management, which includes the owner, designer, contractor, construction supervisor, government regulators and other parties. With respect to the research about construction project safety, existing literatures mainly consider about contractor, construction supervisor and other parties. However, Design stage is the key point of affecting the construction safety management and more attention should be paid. Design stage provides the basis to control the project safety risks in construction stage. Aiming to give better play for designers in construction safety management, this paper probed project safety management system, suggested the approach of designer roles in construction project safety management, analyzed the challenges if designer took part in construction safety management, and gave some countermeasures on how to take advantage of the designer in improving the level of construction safety.
