Abstract: Consideration was given to the issue of the integrated evaluation of the flammable properties and factors of wooden products (Oriented Strand Boards, OSB and Wood Particle Boards, WPB) as basic flammable construction materials exposed to the action of fire. The experimental data obtained for flammable wooden products during the experiments carried out to define the dependence of temperature on the time of fire impact, to measure and substantiate the charring depth of wooden products, to determine degradation zones affected by fire and their sizes (area, width and length) and to compare a change in the specimen mass before and after the tests have been given. The experimental data confirm and substantiate the pyrolysis processes of wooden products during the fire spread.

Abstract: In the paper there is compared wood char layer of various tree parts (branches, trunk, roots) from pine, fir, spruce, larch. The samples were thermally loaded by the radiating source. The course of thermal degradation was evaluated by the char laye. The obtained results showed the influence of tree parts and wood species on calculated fire technical parameters. The values of char layer of wood from branches were the lowest. The char layer of trunk wood was the highest in case of spruce.

Abstract: The effects of a red phosphorus master batch (RPMB) on a modified intumescent flame retardant (MIFR) ABS composite system (ABS-MIFR) were investigated in this study. The Underwriter's Laboratory Bulletin 94 (UL-94) flame retardancy rating clearly revealed the synergistic interactions of RPMB and MIFR. Thermogravimetric analysis was used to evaluate the thermal decomposition of these flame retardant composite systems. The results show that adding RPMB increased the char residue formation and the thermal stability of ABS-MIFR at high temperature.
