Abstract: There are many rich and plain ecological thoughts in Chinese traditional architecture commonly. The traditional buildings are well adapted to local geographical features, whether natural or cultural morphology. Affecting of traditional philosophy and ecological ideology, there are enough ecological spirits from the settlement pattern, architecture form, the construction method. Through the research of the ecological environment and ecological aesthetics of traditional architecture, people can look for a sustainable development of the environment for human survival way.

Abstract: The paper focuses on the relationship between the architectural culture and architectural design, puts forward the concept of architectural culture, expounds architectural cultures influence on Chinese traditional architecture and the western traditional architectures, and summarizes the importance and influence of architectural culture in the modern architectural design. This paper provides reference and experience for architects to design the modern architecture that can embody the design and spirit more vividly.

Abstract: It introduces the basic information of the Chinese traditional painting, Chinese traditional architecture, and analyses three approaches of the Chinese traditional painting. Indeed, it illustrates the architectural experiment of Wang Shu, according to the Chinese traditional painting.

Abstract: The alloy analysis of the building material of the copper hall from Taishan Mountain (TCH) is presented. First, the historical building structure of the TCH is investigated and introduced. Then the X-ray fluorescence (XRF) results are given. Analysis is done based on the units of building component. The results show that about one third of the components are made in brass, and two thirds are in bronze. Further, The XRF results are loaded into geographic information system (GIS) to analyze the relation between the building components and their materials. Most of the major structural components are made in bronze, or contains relative higher Sn. Finally, the reason why TCH use both bronze and brass as building materials is discussed.

Abstract: The Chinese traditional architectural symbols are on behalf of Chinese outstanding traditional culture and inheritance of value.Chinese traditional architectural symbol's refine and expression should be combined with some metropolitan aspects, such as landscape, environmental design, space shape design and architectural single body design.On the analysis of Chinese traditional architectural symbols and the comparison between the modern creating techniques and the characteristics of modern building material,five principles were creatived through the harmonious symbiosis view between modern architecture and Chinese traditional architecture. Meanwhile,taking the design of office area of Xi'an city administrative center as example, it was discussed how to embodying Chinese traditional cultural and regional culture connotation in a deep level in the design methods of architectural components.
