Abstract: Commercial vehicle clutch release bearings working at high speed, strong vibration,high temperature, damp and easy pollution conditions. Fatigue life analysis is based on the release bearing rings or rolling body began to appear fatigue spalling, in which this kind of phenomenon is under cyclic stress. The contact stress distribution is not uniform, the contact stress is mainly concentrated near the surface; influenced by the geometry and physical properties and lubrication of the surface significantly. Contact between the two types of fatigue crack extension methods: fatigue crack surface under expansion and surface fatigue crack propagation. The surface crack growth mainly originated from two kinds of cases: crack caused by surface pre crack and contact between the two surface asperity each other. New life prediction model for the release bearing based on L-P theory and Tallian model ,in which influence factors of fatigue life is introduced on the smelting process, surface defect, surface roughness, residual stress, elastohydrodynamic lubrication oil film,environmental cleanliness, temperature, the effect of varying load characteristics and other factors of fatigue life. The results show that: the clutch release bearing life prediction model of new and more close to the real conditions of automobile clutch, provide the theory basis for the development of a new generation high-speed heavy-duty clutch release bearing of the commercial vehicle.

Abstract: Based on the embedded flexible clutch mechanism as the breakthrough point, using ADAMS dynamic analysis software and ANSYS simulation analysis software, established the analysis model, the peak impact force between the different conditions of brake wheel and brake claw was obtained, the brake wheel and the brake pawl two allowable angular speed difference. At the same time to brake wheel and brake claw structure impact resistance ability as optimization objective, the different structural forms of brake wheel and brake claw structure peak impact in different conditions and the brake wheel and brake claw two permissible angular speed difference is analyzed and calculated.

Abstract: Establish the simplified model of 215 clutch. Then made grid division and apply the boundary conditions to the model to do CFD analysis in ANSYS CFX module. According to the results, a new pressure plates structure is suggested. The gap between the supporting platforms against the diaphragm spring is designed into bevel and the number of the supporting platform is increased from 6 to 9. The result of the new structure shows that the air flows quickly than the original one. In other words, the convection between the air and the pressure plate is improved, and it contributes to reduce the temperature rise.

Abstract: Design for energy optimization is an efficiency way to improve energy utilization rate and the environmental performance of products. A new design method for energy optimization based on energy unit (EU) is put forward. The method integrates energy property into design process of product, and takes the product as a set of design units and realizes the design for energy optimization process by the design of EU. Based on the introduction of the concept EU, the design for energy optimization process in the utilization stage is analyzed. At last, a product case is given to show the design process.

Abstract: In order to achieve the dynamic simulation of vehicle clutch, the paper calculated the dynamic parameters of the locking and sliding process of vehicle clutch and established a Matlab/Simulink simulation model which can describe the revolution state of vehicle clutch. Also, it analyzed the dynamic behavior of clutch locking and sliding process. The research illustrates that the simulation model can correctly describe the dynamics of moving vehicle with combining and separating process of the clutch, and the dynamic simulation analysis reflects the alternation of clutch locking and slipping process more intuitively than the static model. Moreover, the method provides a reference for the dynamic control and integral optimization design of automatic clutch.

Abstract: As a key component of vehicle, automotive clutch remained high failure rate, meanwhile, with the development of engine and vehicle technology, functional characteristics of automotive clutch such as comfort, durability and reliability demanded much higher. Objective of the study is to establish the correspondence relationship between failures and design theory and experimental methods, reduce failure rate and improve product reliability. In order to create a system approach of problem-solving, we collected clutch failure information and classified according to clutch functional requirements and mechanical design principles. Then we used RCA (root cause analysis) and quality management tools to analyze the cause of failures, used QFD (quality function development) and DFMEA (design failure mode effects analysis) method to protocol the corresponding control measures to improve the existing design theory and experimental methods. The study also can be applied to more complex systems such as dry dual clutch module and dual-mass flywheel damper.

Abstract: For the current situation of automatic transmission technology which applied to small cars, it proposes a concept that electromagnetic slip clutch achieves step less speed regulation of small cars, describes its technical principle and feasibility, analysis the mechanical properties of electromagnetic slip clutch, at sometimes, the article proposes mathematical modeling technology for the electronic control system of electromagnetic slip clutch, and structures software and hardware design platform with C and 32 microcontroller. Finally, it confirms the research value of electromagnetic slip clutch for the step less speed regulation of small cars.

Abstract: In this paper, we discussed a method of dynamic detection for clutch of real vehicle based on RFID technology. Clutch is a key component in vehicle. It ensures smooth start and shift and prevents overload of transmission system. Traditional detection method is to measure on a simulated working table. But the combining process of start and shift in bad condition can bring other troubles which lead to possible damage and reduce the service life of clutch. So, it is very important to detect Clutch of real vehicle in real time. Firstly, we discussed clutch of real vehicle important parameter. Secondly, a wireless transmission method is provided by RFID. Finally, a simulation results is given.

Abstract: Aiming at the control problem for starting-clutch of CVT vehicle, the control goals have been analyzed for different stages, for the principle that decrease jerk and friction work, the fuzzy control algorithm have been proposed. The complete vehicle model is modeled combining engine model with clutch dynamic model, clutch hydraulic model, resistance torque model and engagement pressures model. According to the complete vehicle model, different starting simulations are gained by changing the throttle opening and change rate. It can be seen from the simulation results, both the jerk and friction work are restricted within a reasonable range after the fuzzy control algorithm is adopted, which brings relatively smooth startup and enough service life for clutch. The engine has small speed variation during the startup process, which reduces fuel consumption and noise effectively.
