Abstract: A magneto-rheological (MR) fan clutch is a device that transmits torque by the shear stress of the MR fluids. In this paper, Bingham model is used to describe the constitutive characteristics of MR fluids subject to an applied magnetic field. The operational principle of the MR clutch is introduced. The torque transmitted by MR fluids is analyzed to compute the torque transmission ability in the MR clutch. The results show that with the increase of the applied magnetic field, the torque developed by MR fluids goes up rapidly.

It realized integration of products and processes, integration of processed and equipment, tooling, conveying equipment, integration of logistics and information flow. It puts forward new solutions about process flow and key equipments and reasonable evaluation method of assembly line.

Abstract: Based on intensive study to variant design method in product parametric technology,the paper put forward to rapid design system which have been successes used in clutch company, The tabular layouts of article characteristics describe standardization and regularization information of product , can expediently implement the product variant design and variant response of downstream process. The method firstly computes clutch parameters according to outside requirement, then inquired if there is existed product, then decided whether to design a new product or get original product. After this process, then acquire the product main model, which can abstain geometric model and realize some other analysis and virtual simulation, at last, generated satisfying product. The method in this paper have been successful used in clutch company’s design process, and highly improve it’s products creation ability and products competition in market.

Abstract: In the real venicle testing, evaluating the mechanical properties of the clutch just depend on the related characteristic point on mechanics characteristic curve at present, The evaluation method failed to make full use of the informantion included in the characteristic curve and may lead to miscalculation. According to the stuation, by parameter transform can get clutch undamped mechanical characteristic. Through the method of regression analysis, then the qualify can be judged by comparing the test curves of clutch undamped mechanical characteristics with the curve of modeling. Experimental results show that the new evaluation method is feasible.

Abstract: Basing on an analysis on the motion cycle switching of yarn splicing device and tube changing device of an automatic twisting winder using ratchet-pawl clutch, this paper studies the self-locking conditions of the ratchet-pawl clutch, the rotation angle and revolution angle for separation of the pawl, the pawl escapement and the pawl disk locating device, gets the calculation method and design formulas for functional parameters of the ratchet-pawl clutch, and finds out the conditions for whole circle rotation and precise locating of the pawl disk.

Abstract: In order to reduce the cost of washing machine clutch, clutch manufacturing process to improve through conventional washing machine JLX-N-5.0 clutch structure analysis, a new structure of the washing machine clutch, in ensuring the technical performance of the major premise, the clutch brake structure was improved to cancel one-way bearing, narrow diameter brake wheel, change the brake means and planetary gear train positioned. Comparative experimental results show that the clutch brake performance and a substantial increase in operating performance, with simple technology and low cost characteristics.

Abstract: An axial clutch is one in which the mating frictional members are moved in a direction parallel to the shaft. One of the earliest of these is the cone clutch, which is simple in construction and quite powerful. However, except for relatively simple installations, it has been largely displaced by the disk clutch employing one or more disks as the operating members. Advantages of the disk clutch include the freedom from centrifugal effects, the large frictional area that can be installed in a small space, the more effective heat-dissipation surfaces, and the favorable pressure distribution. Modeling methods typically implement mathematical models that can be used to simulate steady-state and transient performance under various commanded conditions, loads, and operational regimes. In the case of drive-train systems, these models should be dynamic to simulate the transient interaction among speeds, loads, and power sources. These dynamic simulation models enable the identification of diagnostic indicators. .

Abstract: The brake system plays a key role in the vehicle safety system. The drivers usually cannot depress the brake pedal immediately in emergencies. A new vehicle brake-assist mechanism using the transmission principle of the clutch is designed to solve this problem. This mechanism can automatically assist drivers to handle the emergency when they failed to brake in time. Thus, the danger can be avoided initiatively. Through experiment, the reliability and effectiveness of the actuator is proved. Compared to manual brake, the designed mechanism can be more exact and rapid.
