Abstract: The collaborative design of the automotive powertrain system is a complex activity, which is involved with multiple disciplines and personnel for completion. Besides, characteristic of multiple goals and no specific operator, design process is inclined to collision, thus collision detection has become critical in collaborative design on the system. In the study, collision factors in the process of collaborative design on the system are analyzed and modeled and a section-based collision detection algorithm is proposed which is competent in detecting collisions in the process of clutch case design.

Abstract: This paper examines the application of proposed Design Structure Matrix (DSM) by modeling the collaborative design of the Automotive Powertrain System. A task of the whole design process is divided into several levels and some specific design tasks. Respectively, the flow diagram is set up based on the DSM principle. In order to optimize the design process and to shorten the development cycle, detailed analysis and reconstruction of DSM were performed by eliminating iterative design process.

Abstract: The tools used for collaborative product design is based on PLM solutions, integrating BOM, CAD, CAE, CAPP, CAM and PDM software. The PLM platforms are distributed in virtual project team of partners. Currently, the integrated collaborative and distributed product design and manufacture can be supported by the cloud technology, given advances in Cloud Computing. The objective of our research is to develop an infrastructure for integrated collaborative and distributed product design and manufacturing, including software applications, CNC machine tools, additive manufacturing machines etc., dispersed in different universities labs for students’ education.

Abstract: With the continuous improvement of the level China architectural design, BIM technique is applied more and more widely in China. Collaborative design is one of the core ideas of design using BIM technology, reasonable design using BIM software can realize the architectural, structure, water supply and drainage, electrical, ventilation and air conditioning and other collaborative design speciality. In this paper, by using the Revit Server deployment server, different professional designers respectively by Revit Architecture, Revit Structure and Revit MEP collaborative design. Through collaborative design technology of the application of Revit in the The main control building project, a 80% reduction in the designer communication project design time, total time reduced by 50% than the traditional model, and achieved good application effect and economic benefit.

The system adopts B/S architecture. Through online operations (accept task, review data, etc.), as well as strict management of the system data to realize long distance collaborative design. System respectively from the platform environment, data management, and user access control three aspects to ensure the safety of system. At last, DDMP integrates with rendering and 3D printing platform torealizeremoteprocessing ofdesign data.

Abstract: The keen competitive market is forcing companies to adopt various advanced technologies, such as collaborative design, to short the product development time-to-market. In this paper, the theory model of the component agent based on finite state machine is proposed first. Secondly, a product component agent frame is proposed by combining the proposed agent model with collaborative design-oriented product data model. Finally, an application is given which shows that the proposed model can enhance the ability of the collaborative product design.

Abstract: Recently the BIM concept that all professionals carry out collaborative work among domains and departments in the industry has attracted more and more attention by research scholars and engineers around the world. The core of the BIM technology is the information sharing and exchanging among the life cycle. In view of this key problem, this article introduces the situation of the BIM research and development in domestic and overseas, and indicates that there are several common problems existing in the BIM development, such as, the information of multiple projects cannot be stored in a centralized database; the information is lost or incorrect when importing and exporting IFC model files with popular BIM software; the application software based on BIM technology is quite few, etc. The paper points out that the realization of BIM technology shall be based on the BIM database which is based on IFC standard. After that, this paper discusses how to build the BIM database based on IFC standard, the application interface of BIM database, the function of budgetary estimates and the transplantation of structural model conversion to BIM database. Then, a few examples are given to demonstrate the feasibility and reliability of the BIM database and corresponding applications developed in this research. As a result, it is concluded that the IFC based on BIM database is the foundation of developing building collaborative platform and digital city.

BIM modeling using information technology to greatly improve the degree of integration of information, which makes the quality and efficiency of the design and the whole items greatly improved. Its greatest value is reflected in the three-dimensional design technology and collaborative design, which bring huge benefits for the development of the interior design industry. Besides, it completely changed the traditional design patterns, letting the two-dimensional drawings into intuitive and accurate BIM model data. Abstract: According to the shortcomings such as long cycle, large consumption in view of the traditional method of shipbuilding, introduce the method named collaborative design, build hull production design process model. First, decompose hull production design process, then introduce the method of DSM-matrix to describe hull production design task, build the hull production design process model, then based on the model, develop collaborative design system. And use the system to make the hull production design process more reasonable. At last successfully apply them to the collaborative design system. The results suggest that the hull production design method based on DSM-matrix can effectively shorten the manufacturing cycle and save material.
