Abstract: When the bearing capacity of natural foundation cannot meet load requirements, generally the ground treatment usually can be taken to strengthen it. In this paper, from the practical engineering, the design, construction, and detection of the lime soil pile were introduced. The results show that the lime soil pile in collapsible loess area reinforcement technology foundation is feasible. The bearing capacity and stability of the treated foundation can meet the requirements.

Abstract: The experiment on foundation improvement by dynamic compaction in Collapsible Loess foundation of the power plant was made. Before and after the experiment, kinds of in-situ and laboratory tests were performed .Through these tests, the influence of the dynamic compaction on the character of the soil, such as dry density, collapsibility, bearing capacity is analyzed. The effective depth of improvement of foundation is calculated and the conclusion of the efficiency of the foundation treatment by dynamic compaction is made. The choosing of techniques and parameter of the dynamic compaction also is elaborated in the paper, which make an example for other similar construction in the future.

Abstract: The rammed cement-soil pile compounded foundation is widely used in collapsible loess of northwest China. There are many factors influencing the bearing capacity of compounded foundation. The calculation result with empirical formula are usually not accurate. The influence factors on bearing capacity of compounded foundation are analyzed with finite element method based on the static load results. The result show that pile body elastic modulus has little effect on the bearing capacity of compounded foundation. This is quite different from bearing behavior of single pile. However, the soil parameters, such as soil elastic modulus, soil internal friction angle and soil cohesion have significant impact on compounded foundation bearing capacity.

Abstract: By the engineering background of Datong-Xian Passenger Dedicated Railway Line passing through the collapsible loess area, four representative test sections such as roadbed-bridge transition section, roadbed-culvert transition section, ordinary and special embankment section was selected. Different pile parameter and pile plane layout and subgrade filling measure has been taken according to the different test sections. At the same time, the correspondence of settlement monitoring project was carried out. After the long time monitoring, by the hyperbolic curve and logarithmic method predicting, the long-term settlement has been predicted. The monitoring results and the curve fitting shows that the settlement and the foundation treatment schemes with subgrade filling measurement meet the design requirement also provided reference and reference for other engineering.

Abstract: This paper mainly introduces the characteristic of collapsible loess high fill roadbed, the observation method of collapsible loess high fill embankment settlement and measures need to be taken in construction and observation process of collapsible loess high fill embankment, through the settlement observation can be found in a timely fashion in roadbed construction process the settlement of foundation and roadbed soil.
