Abstract: There are many research devoted to the influence of carbon nanotubes (CNT) on the structure and properties of cement systems. In the course of this research, the combined influence of of multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNT) and polycarboxylate (PCE) plasticizer on the products of hydration and the properties of hardened cement paste was investigated. The strength characteristics of nanomodified hardened cement paste and the hydration products were determined by the usage of modern methods of physico-mechanical and physico-chemical analyses. Based on the physico-chemical investigations, it was concluded the necessity of additional experiments, associated primary with questions of uniform distribution of the nanostructures and their chemical interactions with another components of admixture and cement system.

Abstract: This paper analyzed the mechanical properties of the web opening nodes on the steel frame which considered the combined effects, with the finite element analysis software ABAQUS . When the structure with the web openings withstood static loads, formation process of plastic hinge was also analyzed. By applying a load-displacement curve at the endpoint of the main beam, the impact of the flange thickness ratio on the seismic performance was researched. The results showed that reducing the flange thickness will decrease the structural capacity, while the improvement of hysteretic performance was not significant. However, reducing the flange thickness and increasing width of the flange at the same time would not only increase the structural capacity, but also improve the hysteretic behavior and the seismic performance of the structure.

Abstract: This paper established three-dimensional calculation model of three large space shear wall structures of different thickness, using finite element software ANSYS to analyze the wind loads and vertical loads of the internal force. And analyze the displacement, internal force distribution pattern. Under the wind loads and vertical loads of three different thickness wall of the large space wall structure.

Abstract: Styrene butadiene rubber (SBR)/clay/carbon black (CB) nanocomposites filled with 60 phr filler (in total) were prepared by adding CB to SBR/clay nanocompound in a two-roll mill. TEM photographs of the nanocomposites showed that both fillers were dispersed randomly in the SBR matrix at nano-scale. With the increase of CB content, stress at 300% strain and tensile strength of the nanocomposites increased, while elongation at break and permanent set of the nanocomposites decreased. On the other hand, with the increase of clay content, the aging resistance of the SBR nanocomposites was improved.

Abstract: This study was conducted to test the performance of various combinations of coagulants for effective wastewater treatment of the tire recycling industry. From the Jar-test results, two kinds of coagulants, namely AlSi-1 and PASi-1, were found to be effective in decreasing BOD and CODCr values from the polluted wastewater among various combinations of coagulants. In comparison to Al-based or Si-based singular salts, the Si-Al combined salts (PASi-1) exhibited a higher removal efficiency of 90% turbidity, 93% SS, 70∼85% BOD5 and 85∼91% CODCr at 15± 2°C, pH7.5∼9.5 and 2.0mM of coagulant dosage. At 30±2°C of tire recycling effluents, the combination effect was clearly shown in the removal of CODCr over a wider range of pH. The reaction mechanisms of AlSi-1 and PASi-1 were also schematically studied.
