Abstract: Many studies have focused on the flexural behavior of conventional reinforced concrete (RC) beams strengthened with fiber reinforced polymer (FRP) bonded on the bottom surface; however, rare attempt is made to strengthen RC beams with FRP bonded on the side surface, furthermore, as for the comparative study of the both is even more scarce.Based on the existing bending experimental data of RC beams externally strengthened with FRP, the flexural capacity calculation formula of normal section of RC beams strengthened with FRP bonded on the side or bottom surface was deduced in the paper. In addition, a comparative analysis on the strengthening effect between bottom bonded FRP and side bonded FRP was made. The results indicated that the ultimate load-carrying capacity of the former was slightly lower than the later.

Abstract: There at machining of parts on machining centers, different kinds of drills can be used for the same purpose. The best of them cannot be selected without necessary analysis. For that reason, different drills and their possibilities at machining of different length holes in parts are explored and their influence on machining results is showed in the paper. Because not only kind of a drill, but also the possibilities of a machine tool influence the final results, interaction of these components is analyzed.

Abstract: To study the rationality of concentration of coastal container ports in China, a comparison of container port concentration of China and other countries' has been carried out. The result shows that the concentration of Chinese ports is relatively low, but the container throughput of Chinese ports is relatively high and their average container throughput is much higher than other countries’ ports’. If we continuously promoted the concentration of coastal container ports, the main Chinese ports' container throughout would grow excessively. That will bring some negative effects to the port located cities and hinder the healthiness and steadiness of port development. So, although the current concentration of Chinese ports is relatively low, in consideration of the facts of our country, the status of low concentration should be maintained or becomes even lower, to ensure the sustainable development of coastal container ports.

Abstract: Image segmentation is the technique and the process to separate the image into regions which have different characteristics and extract the interested objects from the image. Meanwhile, image segmentation is a vital important issue in many fields such as image processing, pattern recognition and artificial intelligence and it has wide application in various fields. This paper performs a great deal of contrastive analysis experiments on a series of images by using improved meanshift software and Edison software. The results show that improved meanshift software is easier to segment clearly than Edison in terms of similar color; the improved meanshift software segmentation is smoother than Edison in image shadow, the segmentation results hold favorable consistency in terms of human perception; the improved meanshift software segmentation is clearer than Edison in texture segmentation such as vegetation. The improved meanshift software has a better effect on the segmentation of boundary, road, etc. Both of them can remove the noise points effectively, but improved meanshift software is more sensitive to brightness; while the Edison software has a faster speed compared to the improved meanshift software.

Abstract: Structural equation model is the only statistical methods that can simultaneously do comprehensive examination about the relationships between the multi-dimensional variables. It has broad application prospects in the field of applied linguistics. In this paper, combined with the applied linguistics article that choose structural equation modeling as the technique on academic journals over the past decades, then discussing the differences in domestic and foreign researchers from both content and form, after comparison and analysis, putting forward the suggestions for the application of SEM in our domestic applied linguistics.

Abstract: Design of small solar thermal systems used in family houses is currently commonly based only on experience of designers who rely on a few basic rules. But these sophisticated systems’ design should be tailor-made according to the needs and habits of the users, because their behavior has great impact on the systems’ efficiency. This is why we should use computer simulations – to design the most appropriate option that would fulfill the needs of the users. In this paper we compare computer simulation (using Polysun - Designer software) of a small solar thermal system installed on a passive house in Rapotice with in-situ measurements. From this comparison we make conclusions applicable for design of similar systems.

Abstract: The data obtained by the two-way satellite time and frequency transfer (TWSTFT) and the BeiDou common view (BDCV) experiments between the National Time Service Center (NTSC) and Beijing station (BEIJ) will be compared in this paper. Results with high agreement between the two techniques will be described. Data analysis results demonstrated that the two-way satellite time and frequency transfer (TWSTFT) and the BeiDou common view (BDCV) can back up each other.

Abstract: This paper studied the difference between the segment loading static analysis method and the uniform loading static analysis method on the mobile refuge chamber. The structure strength static analysis of the mobile refuge chamber was made in the uniform and segment loading ways by the finite element software SolidWorks Simulation. The stress cloud charts and the displacement cloud charts were obtained. The comparison result indicates that the results of the segment loads method are less than those of the uniform loading method and is closer to those of the dynamic analysis method. Therefore the segment loading static analysis method is better than the uniform loading one.

Abstract: This paper studied the difference between the static analysis and dynamic analysis on the mobile refuge chamber. The structure strength static analysis of KJYF96/8 mobile refuge chamber was made by the finite element software SolidWorks Simulation and the stress cloud chart and the displacement cloud chart were obtained. The corresponding relation between the dynamic analysis result and the static analysis result was obtained based on the comparison with the result of the dynamic analysis. The results indicate that the values of the max stress and displacement by static analysis with a uniform external pressure of the dynamic pressure peak value are greater than those by dynamic analysis. And the weighting method of static analysis can be used in the coal mine mobile refuge chamber structure design process instead of dynamic analysis.

Abstract: With the development of computer technology, computer-aided translation software is widely applied to translation. It is able to improve translation efficiency and quality. Meanwhile, it is in accordance with the requirement of market-oriented translation workshop. The paper compares the strengths and weaknesses of the major computer-aided translation software, which provides the software consumers with practical suggestion. The design principle is also discussed in the paper to facilitate the design of satisfactory computer-aided translation software to the users.
