Abstract: This research investigated the Hydrogen doping of the single-walled carbon nanotube (HCNT) with encapsulated cellulose, (C6H10O5)2, and provide theoretical predictions on the properties of the resulting complex system. After full structural optimization, two different bond lengths and angles in the HCNT and (C6H10O5)2/HCNT system were calculated. Further, it was found that substitutional H atoms acted as charge acceptors and drove necessary rearrangements in the valence region. The (C6H10O5)2 caused some peaks at the valence band mainly caused by the p orbitals of the oxygen atoms. A bandgap decrease has been observed for the (C6H10O5)2/HCNT system. The results are consistent with the previous works which demonstrated the possibility of band gap engineering in CNTs.

Abstract: In this work, we propose two mathematical simulation methods to evaluate the results of conditional preventive maintenance strategies based on controls and inspections with optimal performance. In order to have an optimal availability of the equipment in question, the evaluation of the maintenance strategies associated with the controls will be treated by the method of the fault trees based on the decision binary diagram with the calculation engine ALBIZIA. The maintenance performance associated with inspections will be determined by Petri networks coupled with the Monte Carlo method.

Abstract: Metasynthesis is the dialectical unity of reductionism and holism, which is the study methodology of complex giant system and complexity problem. Based on joint demonstrating of equipment system as an example, this paper studies the metasynthesis in the application of complex system simulation. Abstract: We present a quantitative model, called metric hybrid automata, for quantifying the behaviors of complex physical systems, such as chemical reaction control systems, manufacturing systems etc. Due to the introduction of a metric, the state space of hybrid automata forms a metric space, in which the difference of states can be quantified. Furthermore, in order to reveal the distance of system behaviors, we construct the simulation distance and the bisimulation distance, which quantify the similarity of system behaviors. Our model provides the basis for quantitative analysis for those complex physical systems.

Abstract: To solve technique implement problem of case-based reasoning (CBR) in which there exists mapping relation from multi-feature to multi-feature, key cycles for emergence driven CBR (E-CBR) are studied. The frame of E-CBR is established. Then emergence driven case presentation, case retrieval, case adaptation and case maintenance are studied. Test shows that higher shooting rate of emergence decision on top layer by E-CBR can be obtained than that by conventional CBR.

Abstract: A lot of prior information in complex system test has been accumulated. To use the prior information for complex system testability quantitative analysis, a new complex system testability modeling and analyze method based on Bayesian network is presented. First, the complex system’s testability model is built using various kind of prior information by Bayesian network learning algorithm. Then, the way of assessing the testability of complex system is provided using the inference algorithm of Bayesian network. Finally, some proper examples are provided to prove the method’s validity.

Abstract: Aiming at the difficulty in reliability assessment of complex system. A novelty model based on Bayesian method and GO methodology is proposed. Bayesian method is adopted for multi-source information fusion to build the component reliability model, and then GO methodology is utilized to integrate the component reliability parameters and form the reliability model of the system. At last, an instance of reliability assessment for complex electronic equipment is given to show the effectiveness of the model. Result shows that, this method take advantage of Bayesian method and GO methodology, it provide useful reference for relative applications.
