Abstract: Transportation is a very crucial sector in supporting economic activities and regional development. Typically, the smoothness of transportation movement is influenced by the condition of transportation infrastructure, which is related to the level of accessibility, traffic performance, and road pavement conditions. To facilitate regional development and economic improvement in West Aceh Regency area, there is an interest to assess the condition of road transportation. Therefore, this research aimed to evaluate road connected to activity centers in the interior of West Aceh Regency. Among the 12 sub-districts, only 6 were situated in interior area, specifically sub-district capitals not located on national or provincial roads. Typically, national and provincial roads showed good pavement performance and quality. Also, road transportation connectivity was assessed based on accessibility, traffic performance, and pavement conditions. The data used for this exploration included information on accessibility, traffic volume, road capacity, and road pavement conditions. The result showed that the level of accessibility was currently suboptimal. Consequently, road pavement was classified as damaged, but remained in very good condition in terms of traffic performance.

Abstract: In this paper, we propose a routing approach in wireless sensor network by taking into consideration the connectivity maintenance between sensor nodes. Each node is being assigned a calculated weight according to its remaining energy rate. If the transmitting node receives an update package from a node participated in the routing during the routing process, it re-examines its routing way choice by comparing the weight of the updated routing way with the weight of the routing ways in its routing table. An example analysis and simulation shows that the proposed approach is effective.

Abstract: This paper presents a new direct approach to simultaneously update the analytical mass and stiffness matrices in an undamped model .First, we assume that the difference between the finite element model and the real model is little. Second, only by utilizing the first order modal data orthogonal normalization conditions and eigen equations , we derive the updated matrices. Third, the method can maintain matrices symmetry and sparsity and preserve system connectivity. The merit of the proposed method is simple and accurate in a practical engineering computation. Finally,a numerical example is given to demonstrate the accuracy and effectiveness of the presented updating method.

Abstract: The connectivity of pores in the hydroxyapatite scaffold was quantitatively estimated by the infiltration of a setting resin in the scaffold and was evaluated by counting the number of pores filled with resin. As pore filled resin indicated the connection with at least one neighboring pore and outside, the volume fraction of the filled pores corresponded to the connectivity previously defined. For the specimen with 88% of connectivity, the scaffold successfully showed cellular migration and bone growth even at the deep part of the scaffold by the in vivo test. Thus, the connectivity evaluated in this study is a useful criterion for the prediction of successful cellular migration.

Abstract: The microstructure changes of acrylate spray-on waterproof material in alkaline groundwater environment were tentatively studied with X-ray microscopy (XRM), and the validity of deciding the failure of the material was explored in paper. Regarded NaOH solution with pH=12 as corrosive medium, after the immersion in the alkaline solution, spray-on waterproof material was scanned with XRM, and the structure was characterized with some indexes such as porosity and pore connectivity. The results show that when the waterproof material is immersed in alkaline solution for some time, the surface of the material becomes uneven, the overall porosity falls and the pore connectivity rises. It is feasible to study on the failure of waterproof material in underground engineering with XRM.

Abstract: FCM is a fuzzy segmentation based on overall situation, is typically applied in data mining and pattern recognition. In this paper, the segmentation of brain CT is achieved through FCM clustering algorithm in three-dimensional medical image visualization system, the organization in brain CT processed with FCM clustering can be well identified. However, the connectivity of brain organization is severely damaged. In view of this situation, it is proposed that the object in the brain image through clustering be judged by classification of its neighbor domain. The result shows that this method brings a significant improvement in the problem of organization connectivity brought by FCM clustering. Judging the brain image through FCM clustering by classification of its neighbor domain, a brain CT image of better organization integrity and connectivity can be got.

Abstract: The connectivity of water curtain between holes must be known to ensure water seal effect of artificial water curtain system of the underground oil storage caverns. The permeability characteristics of the fractured rock mass is analysed based on packer test and validity test of the water curtain holes of the China's HuangDao’s national petroleum reserve underground water seal oil engineering, puts forward the connectivity judgment criterion of water curtain holes, and evaluate the connectivity of water curtain system of underground oil storage caverns. This criterion has been used in the connectivity evaluation of water curtain system of the HuangDao’s national petroleum reserve underground water seal oil engineering. Research provides a basis for the dynamic design of water curtain system of underground oil storage caverns, reduce project cost.

Abstract: The high pressure (50 MPa - 2 GPa) – high temperature synthesized MgB2 bulk materials are characterized by nearly theoretical density (1-2% porosity), 80-98% connectivity, extremely high critical current densities (e.g. at 20 K, in 0–1 T jc=1.3–1.0 MA·cm-2 (with 10% SiC) and jc= 0.92 – 0.73 MA·cm-2 (without doping)), large irreversibility fields (Birr(18.4 K) =15 T and Birr (0 K) = 32.5 T) and high upper critical fields (Bc2 (22 K) =15 T and Bc2(0 K) ~ 42.1 T). The transformation of grain boundary pinning to point pinning in MgB2-based materials with increasing manufacturing temperature (from 800 to 1050 oC) under pressures from 0.1 to 2 GPa correlates well with an increase in critical current density in low external magnetic fields caused by the redistribution of boron and the oxygen impurities in the material structure. As the manufacturing temperature increases, the discontinuous oxygen enriched layers transform into distinct Mg-B-O inclusions and the size and amount of inclusions of higher magnesium borides MgBX (X>4) are reduced. The effect of oxygen and boron redistribution can be enhanced by Ti or SiC additions.

Abstract: This paper provided an overview that the city should be designed from the functional, connectivity, accessibility and other aspects of the city considering the current situation of obsolete facility and out of order around the Shanghai West Railway Station. It emphasized that the resources of Shanghai West Railway Station’s Zhenru area shall be integrated while the Zhenru center of Shanghai in Caoyang-street and the railway cargo terminal should be built. It proposed that the city should put emphasize on the development of modern logistics industry along with the construction of business office area, large-scale logistics enterprises gather, hotel service area and low density of cultural facilities.

Abstract: Based on the characteristic of real network, this paper introduces traffic routing model, uses the capacity of network to measure the connectivity of network, establishes connectivity research model and finally we analyze the method for determining the capacity of network, and the relation between the connectivity of network with the capacity of each node (C) through simulation. Conclusions are shown as following: (1) It is feasible to use the capacity of network to measure the connectivity of network. (2) The capacity of network is measured by the critical generating rate Rc at which a continuous phase transition will occur from free state to congestion. (3) The connectivity of network is positively related with C, and the capacity of network shows a linear growth with the increasing of C. Results show that this evaluation of connectivity can better reflect the connectivity of real network, and well meets the research needs of real network.
