Papers by Keyword: Constant-Stress Accelerated Life Test

Paper TitlePage

Abstract: In this paper, we consider a constant-stress accelerated life test with competing risks for failure from exponential distribution under progressive type-II hybrid censoring. We derive the maximum likelihood estimator and Bayes estimator of the parameter and prove their equivalence under certain circumstances. Further study of the estimators indicates that missing of failure modes would result in overestimation of the mean lifetime. Finally, a Monte-Carlo simulation is performed to demonstrate the accuracy and effectiveness of the estimators.

Abstract: This paper investigates the maximum likelihood estimation of the average lifespan of products with the constraints, and the estimation of the average lifespan at stress level, which follows the exponential distribution, is derived by transforming the time-censoring step-stress accelerated life test data into the corresponding constant-stress accelerated life test data. The proposed method can overcome the shortcoming of information lose.

Abstract: In the field of electric appliances’ reliability, the constant-stress accelerated-life-test is commonly used to test the reliability of electric appliances. A new analysis method based on constructed data is introduced to analyze the constant-stress accelerated-life-test data of electric appliances under Weibull distribution. The correlation between shape parameter and characteristic life is took into account and the estimated value of characteristic life is modified, which increase the model fitting optimization and improve the analysis precision. Moreover, the method avoids table lookup and is easy to be realized by computer software in the application of reliability engineering for electric appliances.

Abstract: An accelerated life model is an important factor affecting the evaluation of test data. Avoiding the existent difficulties of treating mixed data and based on the grey theory with composite GM(1,1) model, approach is presented for treating fatigue data under constant stress amplitude accelerated life tests. Availability of the approach has indicated by an example.
