Abstract: For the construction of large bridges, it is a very critical and difficult issue to obtain the pre-designed internal force state and geometric alignment through the control on the construction process when they are completed. This paper, according to the real-time monitoring results of the bridge structure in the construction process, assesses the deformation of the main components in primary construction phases as well as whether the variations of stress conform to the design requirements, security of construction process, and working state of structures.

Abstract: To ensure stability of warp tension during weaving process, the paper presented a warp tension control system which uses two permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) drive let-off and take-up mechanism respectively. Based on analyzing factors influencing warp tension, a warp tension mathematical model was established. The paper proposed a tension adjustment arithmetic based on internal model control (IMC) method. The method has only one adjustable parameter which decides performance of the system. The simulation results show that the warp tension control system based on IMC has a fine effect on tension stability of warp and it is significantly superior to conventional PID control in terms of robustness and immunity.

Abstract: This article deals with the possibility of using ERP-systems on Russian construction sites, the need for such a system, how to influence the work of the system in the construction process or increase the introduction of ERP-system efficiency of the enterprise. Also in this paper the question of compliance with established standards. It is shown that the ERP-system should be introduced to the Russian construction, if an investor wants to build your object with the required quality and in time. For the ERP-system in Russia is necessary to create a foundation that would be based on monitoring of standards by means of algorithms and information systems by filling out electronic forms. ERP-system provides objective information to make competent management solutions.

Abstract: Electric actuators are an important part of every manufacturing system. Often it is a problem to get a good motion control configuration which allows high performance tasks. This contribution shows how the mechanical load and the self-dynamics of the system associate. Based on this, it is possible to formulate an identification algorithm to estimate the mechanical load. Now all system parameters are known and the controller can compute automatically. Therefore we show the results in an experiment with a classic cascaded and a flatness-based controller.

Abstract: Within today’s sheet processing lines, roller levellers are included in the production chain to eliminate initial curvature and reduce internal stresses of the sheet material. Despite the desire to achieve fully automated industrial processes, roller levellers still have to be set manually by an operator based on his experience and empirical data. Therefore, this paper evaluates an enhanced numerical approach to predict the vertical roll position, the so called roll intermesh, in the last load triangle. To gain the respective machine setting, a closed-loop control based on an actual curvature measurement is implemented in the finite element (FE) programme Abaqus utilising a user-subroutine. Thus, the presented FE model allows the adjustment of the roller leveller leading to a flat strip in a single simulation run within the accuracy of the FE prediction. Additionally, the FE model provides the chance to develop and test closed-loop controls for roller levelling. Complementing the results gained from the FE model, experiments have been conducted on a down-sized roller leveller with aluminium sheets (AA5005). First results obtained with the presented numerical model proved that the roll intermesh of the last load triangle was determined successfully and the use of an actual curvature measurement within the FE model provides enhanced accuracy.

Abstract: The objective of this paper is to develop a sustainable integrated process design and control methodology for a distillation column system. The sustainable integrated process design and control problem for a distillation column system is typically formulated as a mathematical programming (optimization with constraints) problem, and solved by decomposing it to six sequential hierarchical sub-problems: (i) pre-analysis, (ii) design analysis, (iii) controller design analysis, (iv) sustainability analysis, (v) detailed economics analysis and (vi) final selection and verification. The results through case study of benzene-toluene separation process shows the proposed methodology is capable to find the optimal solution that satisfies design, control, sustainability and economic criteria in a simple and efficient way.

Abstract: The main goal of the present work was to assess and test a pilot assisting technique for light aircraft with inexperienced volunteers. The pilot assisting technique consisted of modified PID controllers with gain scheduling, with features to maintain the pilot authority and flight safety, simplifying the piloting. After the gain adjustment, the controlled model (pilot assistance) was adapted into a simulation platform of the ACS-100 Sora aircraft at CEA-UFMG and volunteers were invited to simulate a flight in a predefined trajectory. It was possible to conclude that inexperienced volunteers were able to improve significantly on this task.

Abstract: This paper deals with the structure of individual controlled components of the solar system, which is constituted by one of the blocks of the entire heating system of the object. In the introduction of the article, there is briefly characterized the system in a real-time mode. Such systems have to satisfy different requirements due to which they differ from conventional systems. There are several kinds of real-time systems, each of which has its own characteristics highlighted in this contribution. Subsequently, the interconnection of the control system with all blocks of a multivalent laboratory is shown schematically. Of all these blocks, a block of the solar system is described in detail, which, among other things, consists of the installed sensors that provide a control system with the necessary information so that it could then give the command to perform the desired task in response to an event in the system environment. These tasks performing is bounded by a time limit. Non compliance with a time limit would result in incorrect operation of the system, i.e. its degradation from the user's aspect.

Abstract: One of the latest solutions in automated production systems is developing of Reconfigurable Manufacturing Systems (RMSs), which have an open structure that allows the integration of new technologies and modifying manufacturing for a new type of production based on adding, removing or updating the elements and units in the hardware and software level. To realize the automated processing RMS needs to have decentralized architecture, including hardware (module based) and software reconfiguration, which to enable distributed control, monitoring and diagnostics in real time and dynamic planning processes and resources in the system. One of the ways to realize this architecture is to development RMS control system on the base of IEC 61499 function blocks (FBs). Important part of the control system is a module for distributed planning and scheduling of processes, which consists all available information for technology of the products. This paper presents an approach for development of scheduling and planning modules in reconfiguration cutting work station on the base of IEC 61499 function blocks.
