Abstract: In the paper we present results of theoretical and experimental research of properties of manipulators with electro hydraulic servo drives with energy sources of limited power. The danger of overloading the power sources and associated functional failures of the drive system are discussed. In order to solve the problem we propose a new structure of the control system and algorithms. This allows to effectively distribute available power between hydraulic drives. These control algorithms are based on a system with variable structure with actual fluid flow feedback. This paper presents analysis of the amplitude of the first harmonic and of oscillation frequency of the total flow in the steady state. This allows to give recommendations how to improve dynamic properties of a hydraulic manipulator. The proposed control laws solve the problem of coordination of motion of links of the manipulator for automatic distribution of power resources. Besides this, it creates favorable conditions for functioning of biotechnical system "human operator - hydraulic manipulator" with limited energy source.

Abstract: The ability of a material to recover its nominal properties through self-healing is gaininginterest in the research community. However, current approaches remain predominantly passive incounteracting the effect of damage. As a result, healing only begins when the material has occurreddamage and typically there is a mismatch between the healing and damage rate. For applications suchas aircraft, where there is a thin line between functionality and non-functionality, these limitations maybe inherently restrictive. A self-healing system that combines a prognosis unit to predict and estimatethe failure rate and an active self-healing system that matches the healing rate to the estimated failurerate using a feedback loop, has the potential to overcome these limitations. In this paper we proposesuch a system and present results for its application to composite materials.

Abstract: An apparatus is developed in this paper, which surveys the motion law of the CAM follower. The apparatus is comprised of the frame body, motors, transmission system, execution system, control system and data acquisition system. The displacement curve, speed curve and acceleration curve of CAM are drawn by analyzing the signal from the dial indicators. This apparatus can provide technical data for the mechanical principle course as well as scientific research work.

Abstract: This paper presents the design and construction of a haptic device. This device aims to generate a tactile feedback to the user. The feedback is generated when the user has contact with virtual limits (through a graphical interfaces or electronic cards). These limits could be due to speeding or recklessness from the pilot under conditions of low visibility or turbulence. The paper begin with the design of the lever-shaped cam which has two Degree of Freedom (DOF). It proceeds with the kinematic analysis to obtain the work area. As of workspace is possible to determine the contact point with the geometry of the virtual object. In this event the user will have a tactile feedback, a force or vibration. This force must be minimal, to prevent injury to the user.

Abstract: This research aims to analyse the opinions of the students from the POLITEHNICA University of Bucharest in connection with their future career. Based on a number of hypotheses outlined in the informal meetings we analysed the attitude of these young persons about professional success using two personality tests measuring significant parameters in defining it (the impact of the others / of the external pressures on the actions and personal choices, the force of subjective values, the possibility to predict one’s own behaviour and the behaviour of the others, commitment etc.). The results of the respondents highlighted the need to develop / deepen competencies in the field of soft skills in order to adapt to the rigors of today's labour market, in which self-knowledge and interpersonal skills are at least as important as technical and practical knowledge.

Abstract: The organizational performance depends of the development of the processes in the organization. In the automotive manufacturing – based on the requirements from the referential standards like ISO 9001 or ISO TS 16949 – the processes map describe very clear all the processes and their inter-correlation. To achieve the level of performance according with top management expectation all processes are monitored regarding the effectiveness and efficiency using the key indicators, but the level of performance is also direct linked with the level of response at quality issues. But the organizations have the processes with different structure of personnel who take care for managing the processes, with different levels of reporting and leadership. This paper presents the advantages to develop the FLRQI (Fast Response on Layers at Quality Issues) easy to communicate and escalate from down to top, and to develop and coach the personnel from top to down in the same time, at the end the advantages to have the fast response at issues implemented in all departments will be measured in better quality, less cost and on time delivery. The paper proposes a new concept to implement a culture of fast response which is easy to be applied in multi-national companies because is easier to be tailored on each structure of the processes.

Abstract: This paper analyses the option of using pressure signal new descriptors for controlling a selected object. Pressure signal deviations from the pressure mean values were selected to be the example descriptors. A compression ignition combustion engine fuelled with mineral-and bio-fuels was chosen to be the reference object. The pressure signal was recorded during the combustion process in the cylinder.

Abstract: The important part of the validation and certification of the new product are vibration and shock testing of mechanical, electrical and electronic equipment components that are mounted on rail vehicles. The hydraulic shaker is possible to use as the vibration and shock exciter to simulate the effect of the environment to the specimen. It is necessary to fulfil the prescribe condition of the level of mechanical vibration and the acceleration peak of the shock test signals. The specific hydraulic motor produced by INOVA is designed for the specific vibration test and the aim is to use it also for the shock tests. The control algorithm uses two iteration methods in time and frequency domain and their use depends on test prescription.

Abstract: The article is aimed at presenting the development of a kinematic model for the control of a mobile robot 6 wheel, all with both traction and rotation, the Ackerman model was chosen because the robot will move through paths designed for cars, and as it avoids slipping. Two models of simulation in MATLAB, one in continuous and one discrete space are also presented
