Abstract: In this paper, the artificial compound eye vision system is used to develop an effective algorithm for acquiring 3D information of object. According to compound eye vision system constructed, the imaging principle and correlation between the object point and the imaging point is analyzed. Then the cross correlation matching algorithm is present to extract the depth and obtain the 3D information. The influence factors such as number of matched elemental images and matching window size are considered and analyzed. The experimental is implemented to verify the validity of the proposed method.

Abstract: Electrostatic sensor is based on the principle of electrostatic induction. It is widely used for gas/solid two-phase flow measurement because it has the advantages of simple structure, high sensitivity, low cost, etc. In this paper, a velocity measurement system of gas/solid flow based on electrostatic sensor and cross-correlation algorithm is discussed. Electrostatic sensor with circular electrode is adopted. By COMSOL optimum simulation, the axial length of the electrode is designed. The signal conditioning circuits are discussed and cross-correlation algorithm is analyzed. The initial experimental results demonstrate that the velocity measurement system of gas/solid flow designed in this paper is feasible.

Abstract: Processing and interpretation of magnetic data usually require information of total magnetization direction. However, under the effects of remanent magnetization, total magnetization direction is different from induced magnetization direction, which makes data processing and interpretation complexity. In this paper, we present a new method by cross-correlation of magnetic dipole source for determination of magnetization direction from relatively isolated and approximate equiaxial-shape magnetic total field anomaly. This method calculates cross-correlation coefficient between observed magnetic total field anomaly and theoretical magnetic total field anomaly caused by a magnetic dipole source, by using a set of varying parameters of positions and total magnetization direction of dipole source for trial and error. The corresponding magnetization direction of maximum correlation coefficient is regarded as estimated total magnetization direction. Test on synthetic data indicates that this method reliably and effectively estimates the magnetization direction from relatively isolated and approximate equiaxial-shape magnetic total field anomaly.

Abstract: In this paper, the rotational invariance technique (ESPRIT) based on the cross-correlation matrix is used to estimate the power quality indices (PQI) . This method enables the alleviation of the effects of additive noise, and improves the computational efficiency. Computer simulation and experimental were performed on synthesized signals to assess the performance of the method.

Abstract: Image registration is widely used in the areas of image fusion, target tracking, remote sensing data analysis, medical image analysis such as organization pathological changes, under the constantly exploring to the image registration technology. In this paper astronomical image matching based on the cross-correlation algorithm is proposed and we focuses on adopting the registration form using the cross-correlation method after segmenting the astronomical images. The method can effectively solve the difficulties of the overall matching, represent the salient regions of features and implement local matching.

Abstract: Acoustic Pyrometry enables non-intrusive, accurate, reliable gas temperature measurements which can be used for controlling operations on real-time basis, therefore, it particularly applies to hot zones and extremely harsh environments. In the application study on multiple acoustic paths intersection in temperature field measurement, two key techniques that time of flight (TOF) of acoustic waves measurement and temperature field reconstruction were involved. This paper introduces the development of Acoustic Pyrometry, and then focus on two key techniques. The cross-correlation algorithm to calculate the TOF and least-square method for temperature field reconstruction are presented. The advantages and limitations of these techniques are also discussed. Several emerging questions are proposed.

Abstract: The paper presents the results of a comparative analysis of parallel integration methods to solve engineering problems. We examine a problem of velocity and displacement data reconstruction from measured acceleration signal. Many engineering tasks such as vibration data acquisition from underground traffic, dwellings vibrations due to wind pressure, earthquake data acquisition, etc. involve field measurements that are mostly performed using accelerometers. For engineering analysis purposes these records are to be integrated to get velocity and displacement. Since some of the measurements are quite long, moreover number of acquisition channels often exceeds dozen, we get a large amount of data to be analyzed fast. The best solution for the problem is parallelization of the integration algorithm, which involves using some modern techniques like OpenMP or GPU computing. This article shows the performance acceleration on different processors for OpenMP technology as well as performance acceleration for different GPU supported devices. Some aspects of algorithm implementations are discussed and future work suggested.

Abstract: This paper developed a resistivity measurement system on the platform of in-situ detector which based on seafloor drilling machine. In order to precisely process the weak voltage signal which outputted by the resistivity probe, the paper carried out the cross-correlation algorithm theoretical derivation and MATLAB simulation, then ported the algorithm to TMS320F28069 DSP processor and designed hardware. A mass of contrast experiment shows that the cross-correlation algorithm is an effective method to process weak signal. It can improve accuracy and anti-jamming ability of the submarine sediment resistivity measurement system. The method of submarine sediment resistivity measurement can be widely used in fields of marine geological survey, marine environment research, etc.

Abstract: In order to realize acoustic source localization, we proposed to use microphone array and time delay based on crosscorrelation algorithm, and analyzed the factors to influence the locating accuracy, and established a realtime acoustic source localizationsystem on the NI CompactRIO system. By experiments, cross-correlation algorithm for wideband signal(sweep signal, noise signal) localization is more accurate, for narrowband signal (organ signal) localization is less significant. After analyzed factors to influence the localization accuracy, we improved sound source system, and the factors that affected the organ signal localization is verified by experiment , and improved accuracy of narrowband signal localization .
