Abstract: A real-time predicting trace algorithm is proposed using the process of target tracking, the target’s position in the next frame is estimated by the iterative fitting. Making the predict position as the center, the target is searched within a certain window and the target tracking is accomplished. The target’s trajectory is obtained by fitting the target’s positions using curve. The experiments show that the algorithm reduces the matching complexity, improves the tracking speed and tracking precision.

Abstract: In order to improve the localization capability of the robot, digital image matching which based on the frequency domain was adopted, the method could reduce the impact of environmental factors, and adopts the sub-pixel subdivision pixel matching technology through curve fitting, Experimental results show that this method can achieve accurate localization in manipulator assembly working .

Abstract: In hand-drawn graphics modeling method, the input to the system free hand draw curve is the first step in modeling. Effective fitting the curve of the input is the key to modeling effect is good or bad. For noise, free shape features of hand-painted curve, presents a method of using NURBS curve fitting of hand-painted curves. Experiments show that using NURBS hand-drawn curve fitting, the fitting effect is good, easy to modify, for later use of curve, not only can be used in hand-painted curve modeling system, can also be applied to the mainstream way of WIMP modeling system.

Abstract: In this paper, a camera ranging method for agricultural robot localization in arable farming is described. Three calibration objects in different directions in the field are set. The distances between the robot are calculated, and the calibration objects are used the camera to obtain the robot position. The benchmarking procedure in Matlab includes image binarization of the calibration object and the curve fitting method was used to establish the relationship between the pixels number of the calibration object and the actual distance. The verification results show that the relative error of ranging is less than 1.5%. Furthermore, the camera ranging method for agricultural robot localization is proved to be easy and feasible.

Abstract: This paper designed a DC programmable power-supply system based on ARM Cortex-M3 as the main controller. The main power module is supplied with PAF600 from TDK-lambda. This system uses 12 bit serial high speed chip analog-to-digital conversion from TI (Texas Instruments) and 12 bit parallel high resolution analog-to-digital conversion chip from AD (Analog Devices) for the signal of the power supply system of acquisition and adjustment. The system not only can use the encoder and the keyboard to adjust and control, but also can through the RS-232 interface apply the PC software to send command to do that. The signal of power supply system can realize software over-voltage protection and over-current protection function by high speed DAQ (Data Acquisition) ,the rapid data processing of ARM and the least squares curve fitting. This system runs steadily and reliably and also has high adjusting precision and simple operation. The best is to read these instructions and follow the outline of this text.

Abstract: In this paper, the MATLAB image processing technology has been adopted to obtain the contour of a turning tool with arc blade by binarization of the image, median filter as well as detection of the edge. Then curve-fitting method have been used to fit the contour of straight edge and arc-edge respectively. Finally, the nose angle of the cutter and the arc radius of the turning tool have been obtained by the analysis of fitting results of slope for straight edge and curvature radius for arc-edge. It is shown that the measurement of geometric parameters for cutting tools based on MATLAB not only has small measurement errors and high measurement efficiency, but also can be widely used to obtain tiny geometry parameters for tools with high precision.

Abstract: Condition monitoring of electrical equipments is indeed the earliest application of Infrared Thermography. It overcomes the disadvantages of conventional manual testing as it does not involve disassembly and reassembly of electrical equipments. Conventionally in IRT testing, hotspot is plotted across the time of testing and any abrupt deviation in the graph indicates either immediate or delayed manual. However hotspot temperature is also dependent on the environmental and operational conditions. Hence prior to plotting the hotspot temperature, it is necessary to correct the errors induced due to above factors in the measured temperature. Then split the tongue using a variety of curve fitting function to analysis plumpness and slenderness of tongue, and compare the accuracy of different curve fitting. Finally, classify the fat tongue and thin tongue by using the neural network.
