Abstract: The automation of hydroerosion manufacturing processes comes to increase the demands on engineering works in the preparation of production, at shortening of deadlines for implementation of scientific knowledge into practice, at the design of production processes and at the economization in production processes. This process is associated with extensive utilisation of mathematical methods, using of computational procedures for specific tasks and at the utilisation of methodology of mathematics for methods of formulating solutions. During the solving of problem, there is mostly used: operational analysis, set theory, theory of structures, theory of algorithms and languages.

Abstract: This paper deals with the study of automobile parts laser cutting process and high power laser oxidation melting cutting technology. Laser oxidation melting cutting and perforation technology was studied and laser cutting process was established. Take automobile part back end plate for example, back end plate and the material is carbon steel, the CAD/CAM simulation software was used, reasonable processing parameters, cutting parameters and perforation parameters were designed. The experimental results show that laser oxidation cutting is very effective method for automobile parts of carbon steel. The laser oxidation laser cutting technical problems and carbon materials processing technology were solved and improvement measures were summarized for the high laser oxidation melting cutting.

Abstract: History of Computer Aided Manufacturing (CAM) becomes from 50th years, when the conception of numerically controlled (NC) machines was designed. This was first impulse for entrance of electronics and later computer technology into the production support. However, more extensive development of CAM systems was enabled by creating the conception of the computer numerically controlled (CNC) production machines which is dated to 1970. Since the CAM systems allow the data about product geometry, which has been created by CAD system, to be used directly for creating NC programs for NC and CNC production machines.

Abstract: Water jet cutting is an unconventional technology used for materials processing. It is known to be one of the most versatile and rapid cutting methods that can be applied to process a greater variety of materials such: metallic materials, non-metallic materials, stone, glass etc. By comparing with the classical technologies, the water jet cutting presents the following advantages: very low side forces during the machining; it is rapid; it is silent; no thermal distortion, high flexibility and has a good cutting accuracy and minimal burrs. In this paper the influence of the high pressures on the surface quality of the workpieces processed by water jet abrasive cutting is presented. The studied parameters were as follows: width of the processed surface at the jet inlet (Li), width of the processed surface at the jet outlet (Lo), deviation from perpendicularity (u), inclination angle (α) and roughness (Ra).

Abstract: Water jet cutting is an unconventional technology used for materials processing. Abrasive water jet cutting has become a highly developed industry technology. Its development has been favored by the fact that abrasive water jet cutting can be used in practically all areas in which solids are processed stone, glass, plastics, composite materials and metals. It is known to be one of the most versatile and rapid cutting methods that can be applied to process a greater variety of materials such: metallic materials, non-metallic materials. By comparing with the classical technologies, the water jet cutting presents the following advantages: very low side forces during the machining; it is rapid; it is silent; no thermal distortion, high flexibility and has a good cutting accuracy and minimal burrs. The aim of the present paper is to present the results of the study regarding the influence of the distance between the cutting head and working sample processed by abrasive water jet cutting on the surface roughness and dimensional accuracy of the processed part.

Abstract: Lightweight frame components made of aluminum and load optimized connecting elements allow the reduction of weight and energy consumption as well as the increase of payload. Complex frame structures which nowadays can be designed and optimized with the help of modern simulation technologies require the use of adapted manufacturing technologies. Especially the flexible machining of single or limited products on the basis of common machining strategies is still inefficient and economically unacceptable. This article describes the development of adequate strategies for a high quality machining using simultaneous five-axis milling. Consequently, the machining of composite extruded aluminum profiles with continuously embedded steel-wire elements and the preparation of joining areas on nodes and commonly extruded profiles for innovative joining by forming processes have been analyzed.

Abstract: Innovative composite extrusions consisting of an aluminium matrix material with steel fibres for reinforced lightweight constructions require adapted cutting technologies. Due to the resulting tool wear when machining such composite materials, new tools and processes have to be developed. The following article describes experimental investigations concerning conventional drilling operations in comparison to helix milling operations for the manufacturing of holes in these materials. Therefore especially wear and quality aspects are discussed. Furthermore a flexible cutting process for thin walled lightweight frame connector elements to combine profiles is described. To obtain detailed process knowledge also FEA-Simulations of the thermo-mechanical loads affecting the workpiece during the process are performed.
