Abstract: In the present work DEA (data envelopment analysis) coupled with Taguchi method has used for optimization in process parameters of hot turning operation. An experimental investigation has been carried out to study the effect of cutting parameters such as speed, feed and depth of cut during. The material removal rate and surface finish, are to be studied with respect to machining at 450 temperature by heating Inconel 625. In order to achieve both quality and productivity, optimization of both is necessary simultaneously. DEA –Taguchi method can employed for solving in multi-response problem. LINGO software was used to find out the relative efficiency and converted to S/N ratio using MINITAB software. The optimization of the machining parameter found at 100 m/min cutting speed, 0.15 mm/rev feed rate and 1 mm depth of cut. Depth of cut is the most influencing parameter which affect both surface finish and material removal rate in the machining process.

Abstract: In this investigation, the optimization of the multiple responses of Vickers hardness, Impact strength with notched and Un-notched conditions of the process parameters of rotational speed, tool tilt angle and feed rate with the straight cam profiled tool is considered. The three factors, five level rotatable central composite design are selected to optimize the responses of friction stir welded AA 8011 aluminium alloys. The highest relative efficiency is found using the data envelopment analysis to predict the optimum parameters. It reveals that at the rotational speed of 680 RPM, the tool tilt angle of 85 degrees and the feed rate of 24 mm/min the good weld quality can be achieved.

Abstract: The friction stir welding process is the newly developed material joining process used to join the different materials which are very difficult to join in the conventional fusion welding process. In this investigation using the specially designed straight cam profiled tool, the multiple responses of Ultimate tensile strength, Ultimate yield strength and Percentage of elongation with the process parameters of rotational speed, tool tilt angle and feed rate are optimized. The five level, three factor rotatable central composite design is selected to optimize the responses of friction stir welded AA 8011 aluminium alloys. The highest gray relational grade with the highest relative efficiency is found using the gray relational analysis coupled with the data envelopment analysis to predict the optimum parameters. It exposes that at the rotational speed of 680 rpm, the tool tilt angle of 98 degrees and the feed rate of 24 mm/min the good weld quality can be attained.

Abstract: The development mode Transformation of road-transport in China is quantitatively evaluated with recent statistical data base on DEA. It is found that the overall level of China road-transport industry is still low after experienced a leap-over development. Further analysis indicates present level of Road-transport industry development mode mainly results from purely technical inefficiency. Moreover, research discover there are significant regional differences in road transport efficiency in China. Comparing with the technical inefficiency and scale inefficiency in western region ,the efficiency level in eastern region is relatively high,Finally, the paper proposes some corresponding measures to promote the efficiency of Road-transport industry development mode Transformation.

Abstract: Based on both at home and abroad energy sustainable development ,enterprise energy evaluation index system research and low carbon economic background, this thesis proposed the strategy thought of full process of energy-saving and emission-reduction, selected DEA evaluation method to achieve efficiency monitoring, followed the application steps of DEA evaluation method and built the evaluation index system for energy-saving and emission-reduction which contained inputs and outputs aspects of 8 items specific indicators. The thesis took Dalian as an example to discuss the running situation of energy-saving and emission-reduction strategy within each year and propose that only we strive to achieve industry upgrade in the future, develop circular economy and control the amount of energy input.

Abstract: Regional income disparity is a hot contention in developed countries.Income level of Chinese rural residents has been increasing since the mid of 1990’,although income disparity is increasing also.As to find the ruels behind it,we select 27 provinces units as sample and give urban residents income(Y1),rural residents income(Y2) as output variables,while average GDP(P),average education input(E) and average fixed assetes(K) as input variables.Under the presume,we select the output variables inclination and alterate scale revenue,by which to carry on analysis of input-output efficiency with DEA and give the order according to each province’s efficiency.At the same time,we could get two multi-regression model of Chinese urban and rural residents’ disposal income seperately,with which we will find the difference by comparating them.Finally,under the analysis with DEA and multi-regression methods,can we find the disparity between different provinces is the main factor to the total disparity,while each province’s disparity his its own speciality.Harmonious development between different regions could be the preferable orientation of China.

Abstract: Under the background of rapid urbanization in China, this paper takes the southeast of Changchun city as an example, and uses 2008 to 2012 as decision making unit with DEA. Then it comes to the relevant conclusion of the effectiveness of urban expansion in Changchun city to the economic development:(1) the southeast of Changchun city may still have the space to continue expanding;(2) whether urban expansion in the future still brings more benefits to Changchun economic development or not, which mainly depends on the evaluation result after 2012;(3) DEA method has the feasibility and effectiveness in this respect, and such studies can be assumed to be one of the reference of determining city scale.

Abstract: For the efficiency measurement of coal-fired power plant has drawn attention widely, and then this article analyzed five power plants in China with a combination of PCA and DEA. Adjust of production parameters and strategies according to the method to improve the efficiency of power plants. This article proved that the method can make a breakthrough in evaluating performance of the power plants.

Abstract: In this paper we applied the DEA model to the performance evaluation of the agriculture and forestry biomass energy companies. By constructing the corresponding evaluation model and index system, we conducted an empirical analysis with the dates of 8 companies from 2009 to 2012. The results state that the technical efficiency of the companies is low when compared with other industries and though many companies are under the condition of input slacks, their production efficiency still grew incrementally. Finally, this paper put forward countermeasures and suggestions for promoting the development of forestry biomass energy listed companies.

Abstract: In the matter of huge, widespread, and great workload when facing the issue of loss reduction, finding the wire line loss potential plays a very important role. In this paper data envelopment analysis of C2R model-based, gird line factors as a guide to build the analysis method of loss potential in Gansu power based on DEA, also calculating results according to 2012 Gansu wire line loss statistics. The result is combining with Gansu line loss situation, to discuss and test the validity and reliability of the method.
