Abstract: This paper discusses a digital control method for efficiency improvement of switching power circuit at light load by using C2000 Series DSP (Texas Instruments Inc.). In this work, we alter the module in DSP to adjust the link voltage between a bridgeless PFC AC/DC converter and a phase shift full bridge DC/DC converter, as well as to control the PWM frequency of power circuit in order to improve the power efficiency in a suitable way. Our experiments result show that the efficiency of the power circuit at half or light load improves by adjusting the link voltage and/or PWM frequency

Abstract: Scratch test is mainly used for quantitative measurement of mechanical properties of coating materials in the field of modern materials testing. Advanced materials research have higher accuracy and stability requirements for scratch device but the control system the device mainly use can’t achieve dynamic and fast scratch because of the slow feedback. This paper designed a cross-platform material scratch test control system based on DSP data transmission and multi-axes control technique. System integrates good dynamic response sensors and advanced piezoelectric ceramic feed system, implements multi-axis synchronous control through the motion controller and running state monitoring through the DSP module .Adopting the standard PCI interface and cross-platform software development, the system has good portability.

Abstract: The most of the industrial welding applications involving of electronic circuits such as AC-DC, and DC-AC and AC-DC converters. The input power factor of such a system is reduced due to the presence of more harmonics due to the non-linear devices within the converters which leads to creates more adverse effects. There by a need of suitable AC-DC converter with power factor correction technique to condition the supply current. The power factor correction rectifier that requires best current control from i) Peak current control ii) Average current control and iii) Hysteresis current control. This paper presents a comparative analysis from above mentioned power factor correction control topologies. The simulation of these control techniques are carried out using “Plecs” with “MATLAB/SIMULINK”. The simulation results shows that Hysteresis control has low THD, good DC link voltage regulation and better performance than other control techniques. The same control technique is implemented in TMS320F2812 DSP and results are proved.

Abstract: Hemodialysis is one of the treatment methods for the patients with end stage renal disease. It is conducted through the use of artificial kidney or dialyzer, located outside of the human body. During the hemodialysis therapy, small air bubbles may infiltrate through the blood tubing and coalesce to perform the larger bubble which can be harmfull for the patient if entering the patient’s blood circulatory system. The objective of this work is to develop an ultrasonic based air bubble detection system as well as the safety system, mainly the electronic system, for hemodialysis machine application. The safety systems consits an electronic for activating visual and sound alarms, and tube clamp. It is used for preventing the embolism during the hemodialysis therapy. The research method covers the conceptual design, detail design, prototyping and performance testing for both hardware and software. The hardware system consists of air detector module, analog circuitry which consists of transmitter and receiver, digital circuitry with DSP based SOM (system on module) and I/O interface. The software system has two main functions. It is for controlling the hardware and processing the signals digitally. The integration between the hardware and the software making the system be able to detect the presence of air bubble. In addition, the software had possess the capability for triggering a tube clamp as well as activating visual and audio alarms. The tubing clamp was used to stop the fluid flow in the blood tubing and prevent an air bubble from entering the patient circulatory system. The validation test was conducted to verify the functionality of the system. For testing purposes, an experimental flow loop was constructed. This loop consits of peristaltic pump, bubble injector, tube clamp, air flow meter, liquid flow meter, and bubble detector. Several test runs by using simulated blood (Dextran 70 solution) were performed. To test the performance of bubble detection system, comparison between measurement of PWM signals conducted using the DSP and oscilloscope was presented in this work. It shows that error procentage between two types of measurement is less than 5%.

Abstract: Permanent magnet generator has the advantages of simple structure, reliable operation and low loss, but it is not easy to adjust voltage, which restricts its wide application. This paper presents a new type of hybrid excitation synchronous generator (HESG) and establishes the mathematical model and simulation of vector control based on its AC excitation system to control the output voltage as the expectation. In application, DSP, as the control system, is traditionally programmed and debugged off-line, which requires heavy workload. Whereas, the design based on model greatly shortens the development cycle. By connecting MATLAB simulation environment to the CCS development environment, the simulation model can be translated into code and downloaded to the targeted DSP through an emulator. This implementation will have specific and indispensable significance for the hardware development and software debugging of motor control system.

Abstract: With the complexity of system design growing, the high quality software design are needed. In this paper, the design procedures based Model-Based Design of line-of-sight control system using MATLAB/Simulink blockset and code generator tools for TMS320F2812 DSP is presented. This approach complete the control algorithm simulation and system architecture design using Simulink model, generates the executive code for DSP target with Real-time workshop and embedded coder. The effectiveness of this procedure from the analysis stage to real system implementation is experimentally verified.

Abstract: Aim at the development and realization of SVPWM three-phase inverter control by DSP, the concrete of method and technology by DSP of SVPWM control is given, the complete hardware circuit and DSP control program is designed, the core of source program and setting method of DSP register are given. The results show that, voltage waveform output from SVPWM three-phase inverter is stability and reliability, output frequency with high control precision. The paper has good applied value for engineering development of inverter.

Abstract: The adjacent vehicle coordination monitoring system on the expressway is to calculate the relative position and display it. So the driver can observe the behavior of adjacent vehicles more easily and then to predict their next behavior. The technology of this system is based on the energy-efficient equipment-DSP which is used to control the peripheral devices. GPS is used to locate. ZigBee will send the latitude and longitude value to each vehicle in the queue. The system will use the latitude and longitude value to calculate the relative location between the vehicle and the vehicle, and display the value on the LCD screen. So the driver can observe each other and avoid these situations such as overspeed or emergency stop. After the test of each node's hardware and software design the main functions have been proved through the experiments.

Abstract: The minimum CPU system of TMS320VC54x DSP does not have redundant extended peripherals, it can work independently, perform real-time online simulation and burn program code. The paper mainly introduces the system design idea, the key points of design and matters needing attention, the paper offers the hardware circuit principle diagram of each unit of the minimum CPU system of TM320VC54x and the PCB diagram. The paper can work as the reference for the design of the minimum system of other CPU.

Abstract: The double PWM welding power supply which can inhibit network side current harmonics,in order to suppress the transient intermediate DC link voltage fluctuations in large, by increasing the DC capacitor capacity its weaknesses are: slow dynamic response, equipment of large volume,high cost, low life.This paper presented a welding power supply double PWM power based on feedforward control, voltage fluctuation suppression intermediate DC link power using feedforward strategy is feasible. Power system composed of this control method has the advantages of small size capacitor , high power factor, good dynamic performance,simple and feasible,and has application prospect.
