Abstract: The Nahdlatul Ulama economic institution (LPNU) DIY needs data as soon as possible to be used as a reference in formulating policies in order to improve the welfare of its members. Researchers made the web-based NUEcon application for data collection on the NU DIY economy to help make it easier for LPNU DIY to collect data. The method used is extreme programming (XP). XP can accept changes with a short development time even in a small team. The test results show that NUEcon can help facilitate NU DIY economic data collection.

Abstract: This work introduces the workings of reverse engineering, its characteristics and application methods and proposes a data acquisition system applicable to industrial design, namely, three dimensional sensing system (3DSS). This work also gives a detailed account of 3DSS data acquisition methods and issues that deserve special attention in operation. A car model reconstruction case is provided as an example to study the performance of 3DSS in reverse engineering. Results have confirmed the significant role of this data acquisition method in reverse engineering.

Abstract: This paper presents a new model based on assembly line to accelerate the speed of data collection. Traditional data collecting and state monitoring technology requires a CPU which is simple but results time consuming. Assembly line models make the data collection and monitoring process simultaneously and hence improve the efficiency. This paper compares several processing hierarchy and at the end propose a feasible model structure.

Abstract: For the engine maintenance enterprises, the test of aeroengine test can detect the performance of the product more accurately, but the engine testing work is a weak link. Conventional piston aircraft engine test system is the simulation instrument, according to the observed by human eyes, manual way to complete data collection work, this test system is inefficient. The engine bench test automatic measurement and control and monitoring system based on computer control is the inevitable trend of its development. Data acquisition module transmits the real-time data from the engine sensor installed on the different parts to the PC through CAN bus and display on the PC. The engine test bed control system and data acquisition system simplifies the system structure and obviously improves the test level and efficiency of the system.

Abstract: The equipment maintenance in large marine ships may rely on Internet of Things to provide monitoring of equipment status instantly. The data volume of sensing data is huge as the number of equipments is large. It is critical to decrease the communication overhead of uploading sensing data for efficiently and timely monitoring. In this paper, we propose several coding algorithms by using data context that is modeled by our normal forms on the base of our observations. The communication efficiency is improved, which is justified by formal analysis and rigorous proof. We also propose several network plan policies for further improvement of the communication efficiency by using data context and cluster head deployment.

Abstract: In order to prolong the lifetime of WSNs, low-duty-cycled scheduling is a widely used strategy. However, there exists high latency with traditional routing algorithms. In this paper, we model the data collection scheme of WSNs to be a delay optimization problem and propose a distributed algorithm based on Network Utility Maximization. The proposed algorithm can distributed find an optimal routing to achieve minimal average end-to-end delay. The simulation results show that our algorithm performs better than the traditional shortest path algorithm on end-to-end delay with less control message.

Abstract: This paper considers the application of flexibility sensors and wearable technologies on smart textiles to enhance the functionality of clothing and protective textiles for the benefit of people, especially older people. By introducing flexibility sensors based strain sensors, we can find its potential of the flexibility science in developed clothing and protective textiles. It has promising application on smart textile products and services appropriate to the needs and aspirations of active users. It shows us how the appropriate design of flexibility sensors has the potential to promote independence and wellbeing, and may enable participation in healthy exercise in the everyday lives of the active ageing.
