Abstract: Reproducibility in respect to welded structures realization is one of the main requirements for a wide variety of industrial applications. One of the international tendencies regarding the use of the steel is the replacing, in critical areas, of structural steels with high performance steel, e.g. with HSLA steels. The paper presents the results of a factorial designed experimental program focused on determining mathematical correlations between the GMAW process parameters for T joints of 4mm thick steel plates of structural (S235JR+AR according to SR EN 10025-2) and hot-rolled, high-strength low-alloy (HSLA) steel plates (S420MC according to EN 10025-4), respectively. A comparison between the obtained mathematical correlations that connect the welding parameters and the main mechanical characteristics is presented. The correlations can be used for applying the optimal combination of welding process parameters for realizing the T-joints of welded products.

Abstract: In all industrial fields, the product requirements are more and more demanding. HSLA steels are designed to provide higher atmospheric corrosion resistance and improved mechanical properties than structural steels. The paper presents the results of an experimental program based on factorial design, applied to predict the mechanical properties of butt-welded joints of S420MC and S460MC hot-rolled, high-strength low-alloy (HSLA) steel plates with 2mm, 4mm and 8mm thickness. Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW) was used and correlations between the main process parameters and the related mechanical properties of the welded joints were found. Obtained mathematical correlations can be exploited to provide optimal combination of welding parameters to fit the quality requirements of the end-users for envisaged welded product.

Abstract: The Brookfield_to_MATLAB and ViscosityApproximation codes for processing of experiments results for determination of viscosity on a rotational Brookfield DV3T viscometer is developed in the MATLAB. The codes allow to carry out automatic capture data, to calculate the shear rate for standard spindles RV-1 ... RV-7, to sort the measurement results on temperatures, to combine the experimental data and to determine the coefficients of the Andrade type power-law model. Paper describes experiment results on determination of viscosity of the epoxy binder reinforced by short carbon fibers. The coefficients of the viscosity model are determined by the linear regression coefficients. The obtained determination coefficient shows a good agreement of the model with the experimental data. The results are used for study various contents of a mass fraction of fibers: 0%, 5%, 10%, and 15%.

Abstract: Within this article, a method has been developed to reduce the amount of transmitted data from the receiving and preprocessing unit to a personal computer. On logical grounds, there is compelling reason to use as a basic property of an ellipse as a ground of the method. The developed data processing algorithm for the multi-element array system was tested in the MatLab software package. Also, a block diagram and data processing algorithm were developed for the practical implementation on a field programmable gate array.

Abstract: Results of the development of the portable mobile color analyzer for sample surfaces using a digital camera are presented. The special program computes and analyzes the color characteristics of samples. The dominant wavelength and the saturation for each pixel as well as for the selected fragment of the digital image are calculated using the spectrum locus. To get the perfect linear color reproduction, the correction factors are introduced. Using the reference color atlas we define factors and carry out the calibration of analyzer′s measuring system by them. The special corrective procedure for the algorithm of the dominant wavelength calculation which enhances the accuracy for spectral colors up to ± 2.5 nm is elaborated. We tested the analyzer in experiments with meat samples produced at the poultry plants. The dominant wavelength could be used for recognizing meat quality characteristics. Experimental results demonstrated the significant differences in data for meat samples of different plants, and they indicated the real storage time of meat.

Abstract: Cement-based composites are traditionally used building materials. Concrete is the basic representative of this type of materials which exhibit the so called quasi-brittle response. Quantification of mechanical fracture parameters is performed using fracture tests on specimens with a stress concentrator. Load versus crack mouth opening displacement (PCMOD) diagrams are recorded during these tests. In order to correctly evaluate these diagrams, an advanced own developed software tool was used for the data filtering and appropriate modifications. In this paper, the programmed Java utility is generally introduced and its utilization demonstrated on the set of recorded PCMOD diagrams, which are further evaluated using Double-K fracture model.

Abstract: In order to achieve high-speed gravure printing machine energy consumption tested and analyzed process efficiently, put forward a kind of electric energy balance test and analysis method, using power analyzer acquire and record the electric energy balance parameters of motors input ports of the three-phase power supply, and processing the data with the method of successive difference. By means of experiment, tested and analyzed the main motor energy consumption of gravure printing machine, the results verify the feasibility of electric energy balance test method and the method of successive difference.

Under Agent Construction System NGIP has its own risk, the paper will be based on Fuzzy Analytic Hierarchy Process (Fuzzy Analytic Hierarchy Process, FAHP) establish NGIP risk assessment model, through data processing the final use of the evaluation model for empirical analysis to achieve the agent system NGIP risk assessment.

Abstract: The data processing is the important link in the process of various engineering testing and experiment. The theory and method of the data processing are correct will directly affect the accuracy of the efficiency of testing and conclusions. This paper introduces the software written in LaBVIEW to read the data acquisition system. The data of the motorcycle ignition advance Angle and fuel injection advance Angle signal data were collected by MP424 then waveform synthesis, stratified by LaBVIEW processed directly calculate the eigenvalues of the test data, and directly displayed in the chart..It to process collected data provides a new method, this method simplifies the process of data analysis, improve the efficiency of test.
