Abstract: The glaucoma is a developing slow eye that effects optic nerve damage in its most common form. Once the optic nerve has been impaired, visual data is not passed to the brain and permanently visual impairment is caused. Glaucoma computer-aided diagnosis (CAD) is a rising area in which medical imaging is analyzed. The CAD is a more precise approach for glaucoma detection, inspired by recent advanced imaging techniques and high-velocity computers. Laser ophthalmoscope scanning, tomography with optical coherence, and retina tomography of Heidelberg have widely used imaging techniques for detecting glaucoma. In this paper, we provide a study of glaucoma disease with its types and detection techniques. Moreover, this paper tells about image processing techniques to detect glaucoma. Variational mode decomposition has also discussed here.

Abstract: Asbestos is a natural fibrous silicate mineral in general, and has good abrasion resistance, heat insulation properties, and is used extensively for construction, insulation, friction, sealing materials. However, it was discovered that asbestos is inhaled into lungs easily lead to pulmonary fibrosis, then induced cancer, so asbestos has been identified as carcinogens. In this paper, pretreatment methods and detection methods for asbestos were introduced. Currently pretreatment methods for asbestos mainly include an acid method, an organic solvent method, potassium chloride solvent method, ashing method, grinding method and mixing using a variety of methods for asbestos pretreatment. Detection methods for asbestos mainly include XRD, PLM, SEM, PCM, TEM, IR, DTA, which can qualitative analysis and quantitative analysis for asbestos. In this paper, the above a variety of methods are introduced, and the characteristics of each method are analyzed, the advice of more appropriate for asbestos detection method is proposed.

Abstract: Due to the weak rigidity of micro-drills and impulse effects, the micro-drill breakage is a common problem in printed circuit board micro-drilling. Traditional micro-drill breakage detection methods and principles, including vacuum-type, laser-type, and contact-type detection, were reviewed in this paper. The comparison of three detection methods showed that the contact-type detection can more satisfy the performance of CNC drilling machine. Three effective contact-detection circuits, including no transformer and rectifier circuit pulse-type, active-type, and trigger-type detection circuit, were introduced. And as a conclusion, differences of these detection methods were compared. Based on the characteristic of three effective micro-drill breakage contact detection circuits, the development trends and designs of innovative detection circuit were proposed to meet the challenges in micro-drill breakage measurement during PCB drilling.

Abstract: This thesis uses a kind of detection method: The two ends of the measurement period from two electrodes, and the probe spacing can be adjusted. Two measuring end head into the interior with electric heat pipe membrane contact ,used the voltage dividing circuit,relations indirect detection of electric resistance film ends with the two measuring pitch. Then the measured data analysis, obtains the relationship between the two electrode spacing and the electrothermal membrane resistance. Make this thought method may not be used to measure the electric heating film resistance, become a simple and practical method for measuring the electric heating film resistance. Using this method, the measured data can be analyzed, indirectly electrothermal film heating pipe internal resistance value and the two measurement of the end head distance is linear change. The linear relationship between the use of electrothermal film heating tube internal electric heating film resistance, the resistance can be estimated from the distance between the two electrodes, get the change range of heating tube power.

Abstract: High temperature chlorine corrosion problems in refuse incinerator get more and more attention in recent years. At present, there is no uniform method of detection of chlorine. In this paper, three common detection methods are introduced. Combined with quantitative experiment, the detection effects of these three detection methods are compared.

Abstract: The problem of more and more serious reactive power and harmonic pollution to power systems is getting more and more serious, which has caused great concern. One of the key points for proper implementation of an APF is to use a reliable method for current/ voltage reference generation. Consequently, how to detect harmonic quickly and accurately becomes a crucial problem. From the perspective of historical development of detection methods, it experienced a course from frequency domain and time domain and neural network to Adaptive parameter identification. Several methods of measuring harmonic, such as wavelet/ S transform, Fourier transform are introduced and compared in this paper.

Abstract: At present, the degree of compaction is the main criterion for subgrade compaction quality.It is the relative expression of the compacted density,Just average.It does not adequately reflect the subgrade compaction layer vertical compaction density distribution law. Compaction boundary layer micro-unit compression pressure on in the process of pressure transmission decreases gradually until they reach the critical formation pressure dense layer. Compaction by detecting the boundary layer vertical zone layer densification, to calculate the boundary thickness, to draw isodense of densification. a clear reproduction of the compacted layer vertical compaction density distribution law. This paper describes the detection principles and detection methods of the compaction boundary layer. describes in detail functional structure and system design of the vehicle automatic detection system used to detect compaction boundary layer of each vertical zone.

Abstract: This paper describes Detecting Methods for Harmonics of power system has been considered one of the serious harms for power system. The research of harmonics has obtained high attention among people. The researches of harmonics detection have many methods, such as Based on Fryze theory of harmonic power detection, Instantaneous reactive power theory detection method, Fourier Transformation harmonic detection method, wavelet transform detection method, neural networks harmonic detection method etc. Aiming at harmonic detection, the different detection methods of power system harmonics are summarized and compared. This paper reviews the existing harmonic detection methods, and discuss their advantages and disadvantages in terms of detection accuracy and response speed, and finally summarizes the development trend of the harmonic detection method.

Abstract: To mitigate liquefaction hazard, real-time liquefaction monitoring technique is investigated. And the reverse liquefaction detection method from seismic records is the key point. The existing methods are limited and the reliability requires test. In 2011, an earthquake of magnitude 6.3 struck in New Zealand's South Island. Serious liquefaction phenomena were reported, which provides an opportunity to verify the existing liquefaction detection methods. Twenty-seven acceleration records within 50km to the epicenter are selected to perform a blind detection for existing two methods, including Suzuki and Sun-Yuan method. The blind detection results indicate that Sun-Yuan method obtains correct results for three known liquefied sites, and both method are correct for a reported non-liquefied site. The number of identically detected results is 22 by two methods. The identified results will be verified by actual observation for the 23 sites excluding 4 confirmed sites.
