Abstract: Numerical simulation of certain diesel engine Urea-SCR catalyst is carried out using computational fluid dynamics method. Injection and atomization of Urea solution, evaporation of water and thermolysis of Urea are taken into account, while the surface chemical reaction in the carrier is ignored. Through the study of ammonia concentration distribution index on the inlet cross-section of the carrier, performance of the catalyst under different situations is evaluated and compared, which can provide some guiding suggestion for further optimization, and the different situations are cases with or without a mixer, cases with different injection distances, cases with different nozzle numbers and cases with different nozzle diameters.

Abstract: Based on modern measure technology, wavelet transform and neural networks, the system of diesel fuel fault diagnosis is designed. Wavelet packet power and RBF networks are combined together to diagnose the fuel oil system. The master system is developed with Visual C++ and the slave system is designed based on 89C52. The two systems communicate via the RS-232 serial communication. The system is applied in practice and performs well.

Abstract: Shock test of marine diesel engine is the important content for ship anti-shock research. Plentiful shock tests of equipments have been carried out abroad, but there is no detailed test methods of diesel engine. According to simulation results, 8-channel acceleration test points are determined. Because diesel engine is working, the measured shock acceleration is interfered by vibration signal. Orthogonal wavelet decomposition and wavelet noise reduction methods are used to separate shock component from test results. The seperated shock component consists of two parts. One is the low-frequency part caused by the shock from diesel foundation and then attenuation through the isolator, the other is the high-frequency part caused by the secondary shock of the retainer.

Abstract: In the performance testing for diesel engine, the load of power testing mostly used water resistance. The power generated by diesel engine all consumed by water resistance. The power and water wasted mostly by this way. Base on the existing mechanical energy recovery system means that the system adopt generator dragged by prime motor to generate recycle electricity, this paper introduces variable current energy recovery system. The power voltage inverts to 10kV voltage, and connects the power plants to the grid. Research shows that the system is low cost, energy saving. And it is achieved the ideal effect in power quality and economic benefit. At present, our company cooperates with a locomotive works for design and construction this system and ancillary plant.

Abstract: For the problem of manual manipulation and data asynchronous acquisition, the opinion of digital test was introduced. Based on the existing equipment, control and test method, the overall design of test platform was put forward. In the following, the data sharing, the software control system, dynamometer system, lube oil control system and cooling water control system were designed respectively. In the end, the digital test platform was developed. Under the new test platform, the test conditions can be adjusted automatically, the measurement device can be remote-controlled, the test data can be collected and recorded in synchronization and the test results can be sent to the designers in time.

Abstract: ATmega128 single-chip microcomputer was regarded as control core, the diesel engine speed and pressure signal simulation hardware circuit were designed based on digital to analog converter TLC5618, clock chip DS12C887 and analog signal processing unit SY4-20mA-P. According to the equipment evaluation process, the sequential turbocharging control instrument automatic assessment program was compiled in the reference of real-time. The sequential turbocharging control instrument factory automatic evaluation function was realized which improve the production efficiency.

Abstract: In this paper, two types Fuzzy-PID composite control methods were studied. The Fuzzy-PID alternately control and parallel connection control were simulated by MATLAB SIMULINK. The simulation conclusions were that Fuzzy-PID composite control effect was better than FUZZY control or PID control, and Fuzzy-PID parallel connection control effect was better than alternately control on diesel engine speed regulation.

Abstract: The purpose of this study was to identify from experimental researches the results regarding the nitrogen oxides (NOx) emissions and hydrocarbon emissions (HC), emissions of a four-stroke, four cylinder, direct injection of a Romanian medium power diesel tractor engine at partial loads operating on diesel fuel (DF), rapeseed methyl ester (RME), degummed and filtered (5 μm) pure rapeseed oil (RO100) and its blends with diesel fuel: 20% pure rapeseed oil-80% diesel fuel (RO20), 50% pure rapeseed oil-50% diesel fuel (RO50), 75% pure rapeseed oil-25% diesel fuel (RO75) compared to diesel fuel. The main properties of the tested fuels (density, kinematic viscosity, oxidation stability, acid value, peroxide number, coke content, water content and cetane number) have been determined. The value of NOx emissions for the experimented biofuels is smaller up to 53% (for RO100) and increases up to 37% (for RO75) for different engine loads as compared to the diesel fuel. The HC emission shows a decrease for all biofuels used in the experiment ranging between 4% (for RO100) and 63% (RO75) at different loads relative to the diesel fuel.

Abstract: For the thermal load of a heavy vehicle is too high in plateau environment, based on Hiroyasu spray model and predictive combustion model, a turbocharged diesel engine model with environmental adaptive predictive ability was established. The experimental results of 3700m revealed that the simulation result relative errors were less than 5%. The research of combustion chamber temperature field was made. This method provides a fundamental basis for further design of the combustion chamber.

Abstract: The noise of the engine and torsional vibration of the engine’s shafting is been tested. The engine is a direct injection turbo charge inter-cooling four cylinders one. In the testing, the original pulley and three different torsional vibration dampers are compared.The result shows that it can reduce the vibration of the shafting, triangular belt, the accessory, and can reduce 1 to 2 decibel of the engine’s sound power level by using the torsional vibration damper.
