Abstract: A method is presented for determining the pouring point location of concrete pump truck. The method does not change the structure of the concrete pump truck, only need to replace the hydraulic cylinders of booms with the hydraulic cylinders with displacement senor, and the displacement sensors are mounted in the inside of the hydraulic cylinders and do not need any extra protection. The relationship formulas between the contraction and expansion amounts of the hydraulic cylinders and the pouring point location are derived and programmed to input into a data processing unit. The contraction and expansion amounts of the hydraulic cylinders are timely acquired and inputted into the data processing unit, then the pouring point location can be displayed in real-time on the screen of radio controller, and the workers can quickly and accurately locate the pouring point of the concrete pump truck to poured point.

Abstract: Through researches a new method of bending fatigue test of vehicle steering wheel was raised in this paper. The new method is closer to the actual using condition of vehicle steering wheel, which enhances the reliability of the test.

Abstract: Introducing the principle, which the magnetostrictive displacement sensor is based on, and the gauging to small shifting is given in this paper. These sensor possess the peculiarities of high precision, long-life and easy to assemble. The gauging to small shifting belongs to the major characteristics test to artillery. On account of the faultiness existing testing means, this method is submitted to the characteristics test of artillery. Which magnetostrictive displacement sensor is applied to the shifting measure. By means of tests, the conclusion could be given that this method is easy to operate, automatic, high testing precision and widely used.

Abstract: The dynamic quantitative weighing system based on the buoyancy weighing sensor is designed in this paper. At first the principle of the dynamic quantitative weighing system is analyzed and then the mathematical model is established. Secondly the hardware structure of the dynamic weighing system is designed. The buoyancy weighing sensor is introduced. The weighing system is composed of two parts: the buoyancy equalizer and the displacement sensor. Through the field tests, precision, stability and sensitivity of the device has been verified.

Abstract: Chromatic confocal technique application in displacement measurement is studied theoretically and experimentally. a set of refractive lenses are designed and a measurement system is established. Correlation fitting method is proposed to fit spectrum curve and find peak wavelength. Results with use of correlation fitting method are compared with Gaussian and smoothing spline fitting methods. It indicate that correlation fitting method have higher extracting accuracy of peak wavelength and smaller RMSE of linear fitting due to narrower and smoother correlation curve.

Abstract: The paper introduces a new displacement sensor design idea called differential line grid sensor. It can gain more impulses and improve resolution power on the basis of the principle resembling that of vernier caliper through using the scribing number difference of two rulers with relative motion. The Parameter choice of differential line grid displacement sensor greatly affects the performance of the sensor. Several special factors need considering and rules need following. The working principle, the parameter design rules and the experiment result of the sensor are introduced particularly here.

Abstract: This article proposed a glass flatness detection system. The systems adopt 16 displacement sensors to detect multiple sample points on the glass surface simultaneously. Detection software controls pneumatic devices to realize glass feeding, clamping while displacement sensors detection. Sensors output the detected displacement values in the form of the analog voltage to the data acquisition card. After the A/D cast, the values will be processed and get the thickness, width, flatness and the parallelism value of the glass. Through comparing with predefined limitation to justify whether the product fulfill the requirement. Test result show that proposed system could greatly improve the efficiency and precision of glasses flatness detection.

Abstract: The trend towards miniaturisation in manufacturing has led to a requirement for the technique of micro /nano measurements capable of measuring tiny features on small components. This paper presents the development of a new sensing method for micro/nano displacement measurements based on fiber Bragg grating (FBG) sensors. In this machine, some new ideas are integrated into the design, such as the suspended FBG probe stem, the fiber fused microball tip, and the double-FBG probe structure. Test shows the microball tip diameter can be less than 300 um. It has been proved by preliminary experimental results that the measurement resolution can reach 50nm.

Abstract: The precision torque instrument was researched and manufactured successfully by Taizhou Institute of Measurement Technology (TIMT). The twisting performance can be measured and evaluated by metal material and coupled by interference fit. Metal material twisting analysis can be used for analysis the part by metal material and coupled by interference fit. Fixing a displacement sensor on one coupling part, and fixing one hold back on another coupling part, this structure measures the twisting angle. At the same time, the dynamometer sensor connects one coupling part through level arm, and other coupling part connects instrument activities end. The action force presses the dynamometer through instrument activities end, coupling part, instrument fixed end and level arm. The dates of displacement and dynamometer sensor will be put into the computer through synchronizer. The TorqueAngle Graph will be established by these data. The maximum torque Tm and effective torque Te will be established from the TorqueAngle Graph.
