Abstract: This article deals with optimal dosage of metakaolin as addition in high performance concrete. The main criteria for assessing the optimal dosage of metakaolin was compressive strength, rheological behaviour and economic benefits. Metakaolin was added to the mixture of high performance concrete in the range from 0 to 25% weight of cement. The comparison of metakaolin and microsilica, which is often used by concrete producers due to its excellent properties, is also performed in this article. The experiments showed that using metakaolin as addition in high performance concrete affects the compressive strength and rheological behaviour positively. While the compressive strength increases especially at lower doses of metakaolin and at higher doses remained unchanged, changes in rheological behaviour were most obvious at the higher doses. From this point of view, it is possible to recommend a higher dose of metakaolin.

Abstract: Durability and high strength of concrete are closely associated with low porosity and generally denser material structure. This is achieved using the addition, which include also silica fume. This article deal with an effective dosage of silica fume in high performance concrete, in a proportion of 0-25 % by the weight of cement. Compressive strength, rheological behaviour and economic benefits were the main questions in this work. The expected increase in compressive strength showed itself in lower doses of silica fume, while higher doses did not produce a further increase in strength. In the case of rheological behaviour, we can confirm lower bleeding and segregation, but also faster drying of the surface layer. From the economic point of view, a small doses of silica fume are better, because then we have observed the highest increase in strength.

Abstract: Four quadrant inverter used for mine consists of SEOHO[1] inverter of South Korean and explosion-proof cabinet and a series of hardwares and softwares (be in conformity with safety standards of mine). Applied in coal mine machines, making reasonable braking by using the principle of energy feedback. It can meet the special requirements of the mine lifting equipment, and providing the energy feedback to grid so as to strengthen braking effect and so on. In addition, SEOHO inverter of the South Korean has a special active-front-end (AFE), AFE rectifier unit/feedback [2] derive sine wave AC from the grid, generating DC voltage output by rectification, and maintaining the required voltage value. Every harmonic wave is deleted by filter circuit. Meanwhile, the huge economic benefits and energy-saving profits have been gained when the four quadrant inverter is used.

Abstract: In the new historical era, the ecologically fragile region in the west is facing with two major tasks of rapid development and green development. Through a model of comprehensive benefit, we analyze the benefit differences among several industrial organization patterns, and point out that the pattern of circular industrial cluster brings out the most comprehensive benefit and the best organization advantages. It is therefore the optimal industry organization pattern in the ecologically fragile region in the west of China.

Abstract: This paper puts forward a creative turbine micro-siting scheme breaking the 3D-5D rule, and calculates wake losses, power production and its economic benefits in traditional wind farm micro-siting scheme and creative wind farm micro-siting scheme by evaluating software WEPAS and MWVE. Results show that the micro-siting scheme breaking 3D-5D is more feasible and effective. It not only ensures the safe and stable operation of the wind turbines and technical parameters, but also the power production and the initial investment have been optimized.

Abstract: Based on the Guobu topographic survey project in Laxiwa hydropower station at Yellow River, different models of Riegl laser scanning equipment were used to measure each testing area’s topography. Laser scanning measuring technique plays a great role in the process of the hydroelectric topographic survey, and its efficiency works several times higher than that of using traditional measuring means. Moreover, it also can shorten measurement period and reduce the field cost of production, which can achieve good economic benefits and social benefits consequently.

Abstract: This paper mainly analyses a BAPV system of 3kWp and a BIPV system of 10 kWp in Shanghai, China. Net present value (NPV) and the payback time (Pd) as the parameters to determine the profitability of the system based on some actual measured data. As there are two subsidy policies in China, including the initial investment subsidy and PV electricity tariff subsidy. The variations of NPV and Pd with the initial investment subsidy and PV electricity tariff subsidy are researched. Analysis results indicate both the systems have a good economic benefit. Since the manufacturing, utilization and recycling periods of PV systems can lead to negative impacts on the environment. Environmental impacts by both the systems are also evaluated in this paper by the energy payback time (EPBT) and greenhouse-gas payback time (GPBT). Results show both the systems have a good environmental benefit, PV technology and PV system are sustainable.

Abstract: The active distribution network is an effective approach to solve the problem such as the high penetration of intermittent renewable energy. This paper constructs single and hybrid energy storage battery systems in the active distribution network, calculates the economic benefits of the single and hybrid energy storage systems from six aspects in annual electricity sale revenue, ancillary revenue, investment cost, maintenance cost, landed cost and power shortage punishment cost. Take the lithium iron phosphate battery as single system, the lithium iron phosphate battery and Lithium titanate battery as the hybrid system to compute the cost benefit. The results show that the storage systems have effects to the intermittent renewable energy in peak shaving. Since the hybrid energy storage system can obtain more annual ancillary revenue, and the batteries’ work life is longer, it has more advantage in economic benefits than the single energy storage system.
