Abstract: In this paper, we put forward a kind of adaptive edge detection algorithm of Gabor filter for silk product broken filament image. Use different directions’ Gabor filter to respectively get the broken filament image edge information. Using the method proposed in this paper to fuse the edges adaptively obtained from different directions Gabor filter, we obtain ideal image edges, and effectively eliminate the noise, also enhance the fuzzy edges at the same time. Experimental results show that the algorithm for silk products processing is effective, and the broken filament detected is clear.

Abstract: The article researched on edge extraction system of the laser welding image based on ARM micro controller. The system can achieve accurate extraction on the edge of the laser welding pool, and reduce the system cost effectively while satisfying the real-time constraints. With STM32f103 controller for the system as the core, the outside are image storage and display module. The image processing methods of gray-scale transformation, image smoothing, threshold segmentation and edge extraction are realized in ARM, and the processed images are displayed in LCD. The experimental results show that the system researched in this paper can extract color molten pool image edge accurately without distortion and better reflect the relationship between welding parameters and weld pool geometry size, and provide the basis for building real-time control system of the laser welding quality.

Abstract: A new edge extraction method was put forward based on the SUSAN operator, according to the problems of poor anti-noise ability and edge detection incomplete of the conventional differential detection operator. The circular template and the center of the circle (template nuclear) were used in this method, the numbers of pixels was calculated through the comparison pixels value of template with the other points of pixels in the template circle, and then compared with the threshold, so as to the edge of images was extracted. The results showed that this method had high precision, and could be able to fully extract the edge of images. It is an effective method of extracting the edge of images.

Abstract: The edge detection which comes from the classical Sobel operator in the image is based on the horizontal gradient and vertical gradient direction. On the basis of the template from two directions the method which is to detect the edges of eight directions is discussed in this paper. The image edge detection based on multiple directions can improve the accuracy of edge detection. The numerical experimental results show that the proposed method can get the smooth, continuous, multiple directions edges, and can reduce the loss of the information. The method proposed in this paper is to detect the edge of the image, which will result in higher accuracy. Especially for more complex texture image, the effect of edge detection is more obvious, and the pixel width is closer to a single pixel width. It is an effective method for edge detection.

Abstract: Slice cell counting system has been widely applied for medical clinical field, which studies image smoothing, threshold segmentation, morphologic processing and cell information statistics based on digital image processing technology. This paper presents system design and realization of counting technology for slice cells. Cell microscopic image is smoothed by adopting mean filtering method at first. Then HIS threshold segmentation method is used for further analysis. There are five steps in morphologic processing including hole filling, erosion, thinning, center point modification and edge extraction to search cells. Cell information statistics including number, average radius and area is carried on finally. Test result shows that the method presented has good accuracy, quick speed and strong robustness for realtime application.

Abstract: This paper proposes a text localization method with multi-features based on cascade classifier for a variety of web images. Specifically, first, the original image is divided into sub-images with different scales, which form more satisfactory edge image blocks after being pretreated respectively; then, the researchers determine in the classifier whether the text area is contained in the candidate image blocks according to the edge connectivity characteristics, stroke density characteristics and text arrangement characteristics of text area; finally, the location results of sub-images with different scales are mixed together to obtain the final result. The experiments show that this location method has the relatively high precision and recall rate and quite strong robustness, which is suitable for a variety of web images.

Abstract: With the aid of TI CCS4.0 software development platform, using C language, a kind of track detection algorithm based on gray image is implemented on DM642. The detailed design and implementation steps are introduced. First, image median filtering, vertical sobel edge enhancement, and using the threshold segmentation method for binarization processing. Then search and mark connected domain on the basis of the binary images and prepare for extraction the connected domain about rail. Finally extract and fill around tracks to get a image containng only track region. The experimental results show that the design is convenient and feasible, and used in actual projects.

Abstract: In existed distributed edge extraction method based on MapReduce, the inappropriate dataset split algorithms leaded to the loss problem of image features in result. We presented a distributed computing platform called Split Process Cluster (SPC) to resolve this problem. In SPC, the images are partitioned with the resilient image pyramid model (RIP), a multi-layer and redundant data structure we presented earlier, to ensure the integrity of original image features. And SPC packages the image data to the form of Key-Value pairs, which could be processed through Hadoop, and reduces the results with density-based spatial clustering of applications with noise (DBSCAN) algorithm. Compared to traditional method, the extraction rate of image feature by using SPC has been improved, which indicates that using SPC is an efficient way to improve the extraction rate of distributed edge extraction.

Abstract: Edges are crucial features for object segmentation and classification in both image and point cloud processing. Though many research efforts have been made in edge extraction and enhancement in both areas, their applications are limited respectively owing to their own technical properties. This paper presents a new approach to integrating the edge pixels in the 2D image into boundary data in the 3D point cloud by establishing the mapping relationship between these two types of data to represent the 3D edge features of the object. The 3D edge extraction based on the adoption of Microsoft Kinect as a 3D sensor - involves the following three steps: first, the generation of a range image from the point cloud of the object, second the edge extraction in the range image and edge extraction in the digital image, and finally edge data integration by referring to the correspondence map between point cloud data and image pixels.
