Abstract: The 2 stroke single cylinder (63 cc) engine of 750 watt electric generator is very popular in the application because providing enough amount of electricity for small house hold with compact size, light weight with reasonable price. Usually this type of electric generator is fuelled with gasoline that mixed with oil as lubricant. The cylinder volume of the engine is usually around 63 cc. This type of engine can be fuelled with biogas with addition component to mix biogas together with air and lubricant, and set the compression pressure at 10 bar. Biogas mainly contain methane (CH4), carbon dioxide (CO2), moisture (H2O), and hydrogen sulfide (H2S). The CH4 is combustible gas and can be used as a fuel for internal combustion engine. Moisture and H2S are easily removed from biogas. To remove CO2 from biogas is about difficult and costly, therefore acceptable content of CO2 in the biogas should be investigate related with the fuel consumption. This research is conducted to understand the influent of ratio CH4 and CO2 in the biogas to fuel consumption of the 2 stroke single cylinder engine of 750 watt electric generator. The variations ratio of CH4 and CO2 were obtained from anaerobic digester with batch system. The results indicate that the CH4 and CO2 ration in the range 1.667-1.967 will yield optimum efficiency that reach biogas consumption in the range of 9.1-9.8 liter/minute.

Abstract: This paper presents a comparative study about the performance of a classic, hybrid and electric bus by computer simulation using AVL Cruise software. The simulation tasks include main energetic, functional and dynamic parameters, over the usual city bus drive cycle. Based on the simulation results, a comparative analysis was performed for the three models of buses used for urban passenger transport. Hybrid and electric vehicles have been developed with the aim of saving energy, reducing local pollutant emissions and can be considered to offer the best short term to mid-term promise. The impact on the fuel economy generally improves by more than 50 % in urban passenger’s traffic using hybrid buses.

Abstract: Environmental concerns, dependency on imported petroleum and lower cost alternative to gasoline always motivated policymakers worldwide to introduce electric vehicles in road transport system as a solution of those problems. The key issue in this system is recharging the electric vehicle batteries before they are exhausted. Thus, the charging station should be carefully located to make sure the vehicle users can access the charging station within its driving range. This paper therefore proposes a multi-objective optimization method for optimal placement of quick charging station. It intends to minimize the integrated cost of grid energy loss and travelling of vehicle to quick charging station. Due to contrary objectives, weighted sum method is assigned to generate reference Pareto optimal front and optimized the overture by genetic algorithm. The results show that the proposed method can find the optimal solution of quick charging station placement that can benefit electric vehicle users and power grid.

Abstract: The present study is aimed at deriving study factors appropriate for removal of heavy metals in a region with combined contamination of non-biodegradable organics or heavy metal ions in soil or underground water contamination or a region with underground water contamination using a composite alternating current electromagnetic field with combined modulation of an electric and a magnetic field. In addition, it is directed at deriving fundamental experiment, design factors that can be utilized in removing organic contaminants or metal-organic complexes having polarity of an electric charge. The continuous-type apparatus for fusion process in a composite alternating current electric field employed in the present study was designed to process a maximum of 260 L. Each configuration is provided with electrolytic decomposition apparatus, Magnetic Equipment, Power supply and Electrode plates with an adjustable distance between electrodes. By measuring oxidation and reduction processes of ions appearing in chemical reaction processes, electric potentials produced by injection of a negative reactivity electrode into an aqueous solution in a reversible redox equilibrium condition were measured.

Abstract: Comparison study of oxidation behavior of low carbon steel was conducted at the temperature range of 500°C to 700°C under a 0.2 atm oxygen pressure by continuous and discontinuous oxidation methods. Oxidation rate of both cases was found to be increased with increasing temperature from 500°C to 700°C and obeyed parabolic rate law. In addition, activation energy for the continuous oxidation of steel was found to be a 164.8 kJ/mole, which means that oxidation rate is proportionally dependant on temperature. In case of cyclic oxidation, the oxidation rate was shown to faster than continuous oxidation at all temperatures due to direction oxidation through spallation of the oxide layer.

Abstract: The position and application of hydraulic system on the engineering machinery are analyzed while the current situation and application of electric technology are discussed. A new idea is proposed in which the end effectors are driven by electric motors while the restriction of hydraulic system is taken over. Several key problems are analyzed during the refitting of engineering machinery such as the high-power, the distribution and focus of energy, the source of energy and the redesign of the control system. The detail is discussed with the Komatsu excavator PC200-8. The advantages of electric engineering machinery are also summarized.

Abstract: Although alloy QCr0.5 has been used as the contact materials in the high-voltage equipment extensively, but it always confronts the awkwardness of over aging in the heat treatment, and results in brittleness during the switching on and breaking process. In the present work by the technology of interalloy-adding, the Zr-containing alloy Cu-0.8Cr-0.2Zr has been prepared and investigated. The results of the microstructure and properties indicate that the alloy matrix maintains FCC microstructure and lots of Zr-containing precipitation is dispersed in the matrix uniformly. The brinell hardness, the ultimate tensile strength and the elastic modulus increase greatly, reach 140 MPa, 430 Mpa and 130 GPa respectively, meanwhile the electric conductivity maintains 75%IACS and the softening temperature is up to 550 °C.

Abstract: Under the dual pressures of the energy crisis and environmental protection, electric cars have been actively developed. Aiming at the classical attractions of China, an antique-style electric sightseeing cars was designed through studying the body shape design principles and understanding the basic structure of the electric sightseeing cars. Its 3D modeling was designed by UG software. The electric sightseeing cars have the art features of the Qin Terracotta Warriors and copper vehicle and could adapt to the corresponding attraction, and have a high practical value.

Abstract: VRLA (valve-regulated lead-acid) and Pump-control are the two kinds of power components for hydraulic servo system. With different command device, feedback measurement device and different corresponding electronic components, the hydraulic servo systems are different. To ensure maximum performance of the whole device, the overall design (including mechanical, electrical design) should be considered for hydraulic servo system. Machinery-electric-hydraulic should be in coordination with each other. The hydraulic system components are used to change the speed of hydraulic cylinder and alter direction of hydraulic cylinder and hydraulic motor. The solenoid valve for motor and hydraulic servo system and the control of pressure relay can implement by the electric section.
