Abstract: In order to further strengthen the management of open laboratory in colleges and universities and improve the utilization rate of equipments, we design and develop a kind of laboratory management system based on embedded video and campus card. Among it, the video monitoring module combines with the embedded technology, image processing technology, internet communication technology and so on, which is used to achieve real-time display and remote video monitoring in the laboratory; campus card is used to implement the student identity authentication, laboratory access control and power supply management.

Abstract: The transient electromagnetic method (TEM), which is also called time domain electromagnetic method, is one of the common methods of geophysical disciplines of electrical prospecting. This paper, based on theory of the TEM, analysed the application of the embedded technology in TEM, and completed the design of the transient electromagnetic receiver system. The ARM processor is the core part of the system, combined with high precision A/D conversion chip, CPLD module, PC104 and other hardware parts.Through repeated field actual tests, the system works stably and reliably and data acquisition result is favourable.

Abstract: An Ethernet node controller for main reflector of radio astronomical telescope is provided. The controller completes the communication with the main control PC, as well as control and monitoring of actuators through Ethernet and embedded technology. The system is made up of embedded processor and peripheral circuit, Ethernet communication module, power management module, motor control feedback module, data storage and time module, display module, motor control module and interface circuit. The controller uses LPC2368 as the core, DM9161 as the network communication physical layer chip, FM3130 to realize of data storage and real-time clock function. Motor controller can store the control algorithm and control data. And through the Ethernet receive and process control command and control data from the control PC to implement the control of actuators. At the same time, the controller also has regular state detection and alarm function, through the manual control module to achieve positive or reversal control operation of the corresponding channel actuators motor.

Abstract: This document explains a type of Smart Tunnel Inspection Robot (STIR) for the detection of pipe culverts, including its system composition, the working principle, modules of hardware circuit, program flows and the interface of PC software. With devices of wireless video transmission, wireless data communication and the embedded technology of measurement and control, the STIR can replace human to detect and monitor various types of small diameter pipe culverts.
