Abstract: The low efficiency restricts the development of pulse continuously variable transmission (P-CVT) mainly, so it is an urgent task to reveal the physical essence of P-CVT, find out the main factor of energy loss, optimize the structure and improve the efficiency. In this paper for this problem, the energy model is established, proposing the calculation method of the energy loss in kinematic pair, the energy loss caused by the resistance of lubrication and the energy loss caused by the damping of the materials of transmission machine. And on this basis, the energy loss will be analyzed specifically by taking the Y2 P-CVT for example, pointing out the corresponding measures which can improve the efficiency. Finally, the physical essence of P-CVT is revealed. Therefore, this paper can provide theory for the efficiency analysis and optimal design of P-CVT.

Abstract: The energy loss for swift heavy ions, covering Z=3-29(~0.2 - 5.0MeV/n), has been calculated in the elemental absorbers like C, Al and Ti. The present calculations are based on Bohr’s approach applicable in both classical and quantum mechanical regimes. The major input parameter, the effective charge, has been calculated in a different way without any empirical/semi-empirical parameterization. The calculated energy loss values have been compared with the available experimental data which results in a close agreement.

Abstract: In order to improve the efficiency of the heavy oil thermal recovery in high temperature and high pressure conditions, a new transformation joint was designed based on the theory of fluid pressure difference. Through the automatic displacement of a one-way valve and a seal tongue under the action of pressure difference, it realized intelligent transformation between the production status and the well testing status. According to the oil recovery requirements about structure size, energy loss, high temperature sealing property and high temperature resistance, thermal expansion of material, designs about structure, key sizes, material model and sealing parts were carried out, and strength of key parts was verified theoretically. Fluent was used to simulate the internal flows of the structure, to analyze and verify the energy loss under the working status. The result shows that the product can meet the requirements of heavy oil exploitation, and its simple structure, high reliability and strong durability can greatly improve the efficiency of crude oil recovery.

Abstract: The area within the safe supply 66kV substation south chapter of the party , with a line of 10kV line loss Wulong missing instance , describes this line loss increase was mainly caused by two reasons : first, harmonic wave current in the transformer windings ( or line conductors ) flows generated power loss; second winding ( or line wires ) makes the skin effect resistance below the fundamental harmonic resistance, causing the windings ( or line conductors ) of additional losses increase large. By the principle of induction and measurement of electronic energy meter , demonstration will not produce harmonics electronic energy meter error affected and have some impact on the accuracy of the induction meter , but not serious, can demonstrate the harmonic increase in line losses .

Abstract: In recent years, as the SVC device have also been used for DC ice melting system, the installment is still on the rise, it is necessary to study the loss situation. This paper firstly analyzed the theory of the loss of its each part of the device, and then finished a simulation based on the PSCAD software. We hope the research can give some value guidance on SVC assembled for the power grid.

Abstract: This paper presents an analysis about the variation of quality factor (Q-factor) aiming at the complex micro resonator to explore the mechanism of the energy loss under different pressures. To demonstrate the work, a series of resonators are designed, which mainly differs in the squeeze-damping and scale of the beam. According to corresponding structure, the Q-factor is measured at different pressures while the theoretical air damping model combined with Christians model is also proposed. The air damping models of three types are proved to have 10%~30% relative error compared to experimental results in low vacuum, respectively. And, for the high vacuum, the structural energy loss plays an important role on the Q-factor, which increases with the decrement of comb quantity and the beam width.

Abstract: The cause serious deterioration in power quality problems for the growing impact and nonlinear load capacity, introduced SVC device in the role of modern power systems and applications. According to the lack of adequate regional dynamic reactive power regulation means to cause voltage fluctuations, harmonics exceeded the actual situation, through analysis and simulation of the existing 66kV grid power quality conditions, refers to the necessity of application of SVC, the compensation capacity for SVC, filter capacitor system parameters and control strategies were designed, the results show improved 220kV SVC reactive power flow distribution system, reducing the system once or twice a net loss, reducing the impact and harmonic interference voltage caused by nonlinear loads, system security, economic operation of great significance.

Abstract: Flared cuff for branched stent-graft application remains a longstanding challenge in endovascular graft exclusion. Introducing various kinds of function to describe the curved surface of flared cuff has shown significances. The method based on the energy loss formula of fluid mechanics is used to minimize energy dissipation of each model representing different functions. Among the five models that are created in experiment, the performance of arc model is relatively more excellent. The energy loss analysis has a certain guiding on morphology optimization of branched graft.

Abstract: Stopping power of test ions in magnetized plasmas is investigated by means of linearized Vlasov Poisson theory. The influences of the magnetized field, the angle between the test particle velocity and magnetized field, and certain plasma densities and temperatures on the stopping power are studied. Simulation results show that the stopping power emerges a peak around the plasma thermal velocity due to the electron excitation. When the magnetized field is strong, the stopping power is strengthened; while when the magnetized field is weak, the stopping power is weakened.

Abstract: At present commonly used distribution network loss calculation theory method, the not fully consider load curve changes. Thus, the theory energy loss too small, and the management energy loss too large. On this issue, the article puts forward an improved Newtons method for distribution network theory energy loss calculation. According to the current transformer substation of 24h a distribution network power records, the trend of the model results show that the total distribution network energy loss. The experimental results show that, compared with traditional methods, improved Newtons method to calculate the result more close to the energy loss calculation theory statistical energy loss.
