Abstract: To understand the current state, health and efficiency of an organization, evaluation based on an organizational diagnostic model are vital. There have been a number of framework and models developed for this purpose which serves as a general rule, but they lack accuracy in certain industries due to its characteristics and scope. This paper critically analyzes previous models, highlighting its definition, advantages, disadvantages, applications and comparison between them. Recognizing factors that contribute to the performance of construction/engineering companies, the authors propose a new diagnostic model which is more suited to this industry. The new diagnostic model addresses issues of culture at work while redefining the scope of every pillar involved in previous diagnostic models. It is a revelation of an evaluation platform for all companies within the same industry, which allow further studies on sustainability framework to be developed on top of this platform.

Abstract: The Beijing-Tianjin-Tanggu expressway is the first highway which is built by using World Bank loan in china. With the influence of service life increasing and traffic growing, the diseases appear such as rut, crack and poor flatness, so the use performance of the highway obviously degrades. Pavement overhaul effectively reduces the appearing of pavement diseases and prolongs the service life of the road. This paper conducts a detailed research on the engineering management and construction quality control of the Beijing-Tianjin-Tanggu expressway overhaul which has strong reference significance on highway overhaul.

Abstract: With the growing development of the society nowadays, the economic growth in China is also increasing fast, which deeply influences the decisions and options that university students make to plan for their future and to seek for the opportunities of the internship. This paper analyzes the attitude and the aims towards to internship for the university students, especially for those who major in engineering management, combining the actual cases analysis, this paper introduces the Fuzzy Comprehensive Evaluation (FCE) and Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) to build the combination model named Fuzzy Analytic Hierarchy Process (FAHP). It is applied to better selection of the internship for whom majoring in engineering management. The actual results show that it can solve such multi-factor, multi-level and uncertain decision making problems, which is of practical significance to the university students who are searching for the internship of engineering management.

Abstract: The total life-cycle management of the building engineering system integrates all the elements (including goals, objects, processes, technology, etc.) of the engineering management in the dimension of the total life-cycle, thus achieving the overrall optimal goal of the engineering life-cycle system. For the realization of the engineering total life-cycle management, the engineering breakdown structure (EBS) is adopted: according to function and professional (technical) system, decomposing the engineering system into engineering subsystems with certain fineness. EBS can realize the whole-process integrated management of engineering planning, design, construction and operation, and technically support the total life-cycle management of all construction activities. Based on EBS, the total life-cycle management of the building engineering can ensure security, reliability and efficiency in the operation of the engineering total life cycle, focusing on the high-level goals of resource-saving, cost optimization, harmony with the environment, health and sustainable development.

Abstract: Taking a project of Hangzhou as the example, a new management method named oppression construction method was proposed in soft soil of deep foundation pit engineering management. This method was based on the foundation pit excavation by layer and section. Through timely supporting of foundation pit and construction information management, the foundation pit supporting exposure time and exposed to the breadth and height was decreased. Thus the excavation process to the periphery environment influence was effectively reduced. It provided beneficial reference for the future of deep foundation pit engineering construction management.

Abstract: In order to achieve efficient management of the dam, the new algorithms such as reinforcement learning, Synergetic, Structural Risk Minimization and Particle Swarm Optimization are used to establish a Cooperative Wavelet Least Squares Support Vector Machine Model. To improve the convergence rate and make full use of knowledge and advice of mechanics and hydraulics of the dam, WLS-SVRM and WLS-SVCM models are used cooperatively. Before the training online, mapping provides training samples for WLS-SVCM. During the course of training online, the numerical simulation and WLS-SVCM will provide knowledge and advices for WLS-SVRM. Case study shows that the model can provide timely information of gate opening and management information of the dam so as to provide decision support for engineering management.

Abstract: With the rational regression of house price and the decline in volume of real estate transactions across the country, both real estate development enterprise and construction enterprise face a series of fund shortage in the short term, or even medium-to-long term. Because construction enterprise has a lot of workers , lack of funding leads directly to a wide range of negative social effects. How to make construction enterprise avoid and transfer potential risks effectively the resolutions include revising the existing laws, consolidating the project priorities of No. 286 clause of contract law, endowing clearly the contractor with the lien, establishing practical employer payment bond system.

Abstract: Build-Operate-Transfer (BOT) contracts have been increasingly adopting for large infrastructure projects. However, BOT contracts have been a very important model for the investing and building the basic establishment. In order to improve management level and risk management ability for BOT projects, the model of integrated risk management for BOT projects is discussed in this paper. The risk involved in each phase of the project is analyzed. This paper suggests methods to mitigate these risks and put forward the correlative management flow and risk management process system as well as support technology. The method and technique put forward by this paper would be used for risk management of BOT projects. And it is effective for improve risk management ability and reduce the risk in BOT projects.
