Abstract: Material selection is one of the crucial stages in design and development process which depend on various physical, mechanical and manufacturing properties. To increase the success probability of the product, the designer needs to decide the suitable material. Therefore, to increase the reliability of the product, entropy method could be applied to determine the importance of criteria for the material used. Entropy method is a highly reliable and can be adjusted to information measurement to determine weighting criteria in decision making environment. Weighting criteria of material play a very significant role in the ranking results of the material selection. Therefore, the aim of this study is to utilise entropy method to rank the main criteria of the natural fibre used in fibre metal laminate panel for car front hood design. It is important to define the main criteria of materials during the material selection process to prevent any mechanical failure and to control the raw material cost. Most of the fibre metal laminate in the market utilise synthetic fibre, while natural fibre is rarely explored. Entropy method was applied to determine the main criteria weighting of natural fibre using five criteria. The result showed the highest rank to the lowest rank for the main criteria is density, stiffness, water absorption, cost and finally availability.

Abstract: Reasonable black-start scheme is of great significance to power system restoration. The entropy method and improved analytic hierarchy process algorithm are applied in evaluation indexes determination. Compared to the traditional algorithm, it takes into account the objectivity of reality and the subjectivity of human experience and adjusts both relative importance by a impact factor. It dose.t need the optimization calculations. At the same time, the fuzzy consistent matrix is applied to improve the traditional analytic hierarchy process, avoiding the consistence problems. Finally, compare the pros and cons of each program by calculating the comprehensive evaluation index to achieve the program’s full sort. The calculation process is simple, the efficiency is obviously improved and the availability of the method is validated through an example.

Abstract: Comparing to the dispersed sea-use way, the intensive and economical sea-use method is a way to change the traditional method, which can implement intensive development in suitable marine areas with suitable scales in flakes. Intensive sea reclamation engineering with comparatively large scales will inevitably impact on the sustainability of economy, environment and resource. Since 2009, Shandong government has planned 9 large and 10 small sea areas, total about 1500 square kilometers for the intensive and economical sea-use. In order to evaluate the sustainable development level of the plan, the paper established a framework model of economy, resource and environment, as well as a sustainable development index system of intensive and economical sea-use in Shandong. An entropy method is used to determine the corresponding evaluation standard and evaluate the sustainable development level of intensive and economical sea-use in Shandong comprehensively. The result shows that the sustainable development level of intensive and economical sea-use in Shandong is acceptable.

Abstract: The prediction of deformation of foundation pit’s supporting structure is the basis of construction control of deep foundation pit. Meanwhile, it is vital to the safe excavation of foundation pit. In the work, the 1st project of Huaqiao in Jiantao Square of Kunshan City is chosen. Besides, model of combination based on entropy method is built to predict the displacement of circle beam with BP neural network and ARMA time series model. Finally, the analysis shows that combination models improve overall prediction on the premise of better predicting accuracy. Thus, it is of practical value.

Abstract: According to the factors involved in safety management process of high-rise construction lift platform, an evaluation index system was established in the paper, which covering five respects such as the management of security preparedness, security use, security monitoring, security organization and security environment. Entropy method was used for weight calculation and grey system theory was used to carry on grey comprehensive evaluation for each evaluation index in this index system, so built safety management model based on entropy method and grey theory. The model could comprehensively reflect the safety management performance of high-rise construction lift platform. Finally, an example of high-rise building construction project was given to evaluate the safety of construction lift platform in the project and put forward the reasonable suggestions according to the evaluation result.

Abstract: Based on summarizing the relevant research of domestic and international on the influence factors of international project bidding decision as well as limitations,a comprehensive evaluating index system was built,and then the paper established a bidding plan-selecting method through combing entropy method with multi-objective weighted gray target decision together.In this way,the optimized bidding plan could be selected by computation and comparison. And applied this model to a specific case to illustrate its effectiveness.

Abstract: In order to investigate the water security situation in typical rural areas of Shandong province, the index system of water security assessment were estasblished based on full understanding of water security as well as combination between actual situation of Shandong province and the definition rural water security. With six county-level city of Shandong province as examples for water security evaluation, each index weigh was calculated by entropy method according to the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method .It was showed that the water security rank from bad to good was shouguang city, ju county, qingyun county, wendeng city, feicheng city and linqu county. The evaluation results was in keeping with the actual condition of water resources, which shows that this system is applicable on rural water security evaluation.

Abstract: A new combined method of wind power prediction based on entropy method is proposed according to information fusion technique. Firstly, Carry out the wind-power forecast with BP neural network, radial basis function neural network and support vector machine respectively. Then, weights of combination forecasting can be obtained according to the degree of variation of prediction error sequence. Case study was carried out to investigate the validity of the novel algorithm and the results illustrated that the proposed combined model can improve the short term forecasting accuracy of wind power effectively by tracking the change of wind power.

Abstract: Due to its high viscosity, it is very difficult to develop heavy oil cost-effectively. Currently, CO2 huff and puff method is a better choice to develop heavy oil reservoir. The key to this method is to choose the suitable candidate target wells. However, it is now very difficult to judge the suitability of the horizontal target wells’ heavy oil reservoirs’ CO2 huff and puff. In according to such issue, this paper, based on the entropy weight method of fuzzy comprehensive evaluation, and used the established horizontal wells’ index in heavy oil reservoir CO2 huff and puff, evaluates the suitability of candidate wells comprehensively. Moreover, this paper presents a set of indicator system that suits the choice of horizontal wells with regard to its heavy oil reservoir CO2 huff and puff, and proposes a specific method and procedures to evaluate an individual candidate well. This project uses such method to calculate 19 horizontal wells in area G, and the evaluation results are consistent with the actual situations. Therefore, it proves that such proposed evaluation method and evaluation index system are feasible to a certain extent.
