Abstract: This paper studies the effect of the direct energy deposition (DED) process parameters varying within 20% on the geometric accuracy and formation of residual stresses in the products. In the course of the study, an experiment was carried out according to Taguchi's L9 plan to fabricate samples by varying the laser travel speed, effective focusing distance, feed rate of metal powder composition, and process pause, which were then compared with the rates of geometry change and crystal lattice distortion. The obtained results were subjected to statistical analysis using correlation, regression and factor analysis to determine the influence and significance of factors. As a result, correlations between the process parameters and sample characteristics were identified. As correlation and factor analysis showed, a change in process factors within 20% does not significantly affect most of the quality parameters, except for the level of residual stresses. Geometric and strain parameters are weakly correlated with each other, but no statistically significant correlations were found between them. The analysis of variance showed that the fusion rate and powder flow rate have the greatest influence on the geometric accuracy parameters. These factors have the most significant statistical influence on the response, indicating the importance of controlling these parameters to achieve high geometry accuracy. Regression analysis allowed to obtain adequate models of residual stress level. It was found that the model for residual stress level by planes (200) is more reliable than the model for residual stress level by crystallographic plane (111). The obtained data allow to optimize the DED process in order to achieve a given geometric accuracy and reduce residual stresses in the manufactured products.

Abstract: This paper investigated and determined the subjective evaluation indicators of comfort in lighting environment for elderly in nursing institutions. Factor analysis method was utilized and the result showed that the recognition of space and figures, sense of security from even illumination, convenience of switch control and no glare were the main factors. The conclusion of the study was not only used to evaluate the lighting environment quality, but also used to guide the design of lighting environment in nursing institutions.

Abstract: s: According to index selection principle, and considering the process of selection as well as the characteristics of the architecture enterprise, this paper establishes a set of comparatively rational index appraisal system. Based on method of primary component analysis, we obtain the components from credit appraisal index of 24 architecture enterprises. It singles out the GA-BP Neural Network as the credit appraisal method of architecture enterprise, sets up a credit appraisal model of architecture enterprise, and finally verifies the practical and scientific attribute of the model.

Abstract: The paper presents a system for visualizing and analyzing multivariate data for distinguishing the major aspects of aggregating data without applying the quantitative analysis method and instant diagnosis of a pregnant woman’s health condition. The paper justifies the necessity of processing multivariate data with the use of the “NovoSpark Visualizer” specialized software suite. An illustrating example as well as the evaluation of pregnant women’s health on the basis of real data is presented.

Abstract: This paper presents a novel approach for the optimization of input parameters on coated aluminum alloy 2024 T351 with Factor analysis method. These Experiments are conducted by varying the input parameters related to surface hardness and surface roughness. In this study, input parameters like coating thickness, substrate temperature and deposition rate are optimized with the considerations of multi responses such as surface hardness and surface roughness. L4 orthogonal array was taken to conduct the experiments. The method shows a good convergence with the experimental and the optimum coating parameters where the maximum surface hardness and the minimum surface finish are obtained.

Abstract: The present work sought to extract and quantify the factors influencing the speed at the access of the urban tunnels by factor analysis method and then found out that the principle factors influencing operating speed were cart ratio, mean time headway, brightness difference between inside and outside of the cave. Finally through the SPSS statistics software and on the base of analysis of multi-line regression, the prediction model of operating speed was established.

Abstract: The cause of heavy metal contamination in urban topsoil is discussed. Use factor analysis method on a single factor pollution index matrix,to screen three common factors whose accumulative contribution rate accounts for 95%, and then analyze coefficients of the rotating component matrix, and extract several heavy metal elements significantly associated with common factors for a comprehensively analysis of the cause of contamination.The results are as follows: the first common factor is significantly correlated with heavy elements Hg, Cu and Cd, whose main cause is industrial pollution; the second common factor is significantly correlated with heavy elements As, Pb and Zn, whose main causes are traffic pollution and industrial pollution; the third common factor is significantly correlated with elements Cr, Ni and Zn, whose main causes are domestic pollution and industrial pollution.

Abstract: Land-based source of pollution is one of the main causes of pollution in the Bohai sea coastal waters, and drainage channel is the main contributor of Land-based source of pollution. Based on principal component analysis method for analysis of single factor evaluation method, selection principles for putting Tianjin Dagu river sewage pollution source location and determined the sample point, research history data and field monitoring of sewage and poisonous and harmful substances, determine a list of priority control pollutants and point pollution sources; Some corresponding land-based source of pollution control method and pollution prevention and control strategies was put forward in the paper.

Abstract: This paper firstly develops the index for China’s comprehensive environmental quality evaluation, and employs spss17.0 to conduct factorial analysis and comprehensive analysis on the condition of China’s comprehensive environmental quality between 1995 and 2012. Results indicated that China’s environmental quality had seen continuous deterioration.
