Abstract: Vibration-based inspection is an area of active research. This task is performed by estimating the effects of structural damage on the eigen parameters of structures. The problem of detecting, locating, and quantifying the extent of damage was under study for several decades. In order to investigate the prevailing effects of damage present in the structure under examination, a mathematical model of the damage must be introduced into the model of the structure at the location of the fault. While focusing on transverse vibrations, a simple stiffness reduction of the damaged region was used. In the present work the vibration parameters (relative first three natural frequencies) of the cracked structure are treated in a controller. The controller is designed using fuzzy logic & genetic algorithm. Here the fuzzy rules are optimized by using genetic algorithm. Using the controller, the crack locations can be determined.

Abstract: According to the huge losses of people’s life and property caused by coal rockburst, we make numberical simulational research on coal deep buried roadway fault rock burst which is based on the related fators about the occurrence of fault rockburst. Simulation results show that, the stress in fault is the most significant, and with its continuously accumulation ,if it is up to the ultimate strength of coal and rock mass, which will occurre rib spalling, and even it will bring the accumulated elastic energy out ,then induced by fault rockburst. So simulation results are of guiding significance to the occurrence mechanism and predict of coal roadway fault rockburst.

Abstract: For small faults have great influence on remaining oil distribution and injection-production relation in the latter period of high water-cut oilfield, an accurate distribution of these minor faults is one of the main control factors of injection-production adjustment. So, the little fault location predication accurately is necessary. But, research that only rely on logging data description of fault and reservoir characteristics have certain limitation, especially in the fault-points, crosswell faults combination and extension length, plane position and continuity between wells sand body, etc. The seismic forward modeling analysis, 3D visualization, various fault classification identification describe integration technology was used, and the fine structure interpretation method was formed, which integrated technology of the first big to small, first simple to complex, slice confirm fault strike, seismic section ensure fault dip, common fixed fault attitude. Fault The remaining potential of fault nearby, crosswell sand body and enlarge transitional are developed by reunderstanding reservoir which was studied in well-seismic interpretation technology. It’s important to improve the fine remaining oil descriptiont for further increaseing understanding of reservoir and of high water-cut old oilfields.

Abstract: The paper proposes a Kohonen neural network to the MOA fault diagnosis. The data from MOA monitoring was trained by a Kohonen neural network in Matlab. By this way, the best weight matrix could be obtained. The trained Kohonen neural network is adopted to diagnose the sample, and the MOA fault type could be effectively identified.

Abstract: The airport navigation light simulation system is designed to improve the ability of navigation light’s operators. The structure of airport navigation light system is introduced. To simulate the faults of light circuit, the fault model of light circuit for airport navigation system is built and is verified by simulation experiment. A power flow calculation algorithm is completed based on the equivalent circuits of airport navigation system. Method of bisection is taken to locate the faults of the light circuit in the simulation system. The airport navigation light simulation system is built for operator training and it works fine.

Abstract: In civil engineering we face up to a wide line of risks of mostly technical character (accident hazard, formation of damages or defects). At present a continuous tightening of cladding energy parameters happens within the sphere of residential and civic engineering. With buildings built in the end of the past century it is not possible to meet completely these requirements without a considerable intervention (and not only into the cladding). Risks acting to users of such objects resulting from its use can be evaluated using the risk analysis method.

Abstract: In this study, the basic principle of high-density electrical method and the basic theory of ground penetration radar (GPR) are described. The fault surveying at Wudang is taken as an example to summarize the image features of apparent resistivity section of fault and those surveyed by GPR. The applications in fault surveying of the two methods are compared.

Abstract: A differential relay that is very sensitive relay operating even at its limits may be used for protecting a power transformer. However, this characteristic may lead to unnecessary tripping due to transient currents. In order to avoid this unnecessary tripping, estimated harmonics of these currents may be required which need great computation efforts. In this paper, a new frame work is proposed using PC interfaced with a data acquisition card AD622, which acquires real-time signals of the currents, process them numerically in the computer and outputs tripping signal to the circuit breaker. All algorithms of differential protection function and blocking techniques have been implemented using the Simulink/Matlab. To validate the present work, the performance of developed relay is tested by signals generated by Simulink/MATLAB simulator under different conditions. The test results show that this proposed scheme provides good discrimination between the transient currents and the internal fault currents.

Abstract: As underground structure, the tunnel itself has good anti-seismic performance, but in recent years, according to a large number of investigation data about the earthquake disaster for tunnel, we find that the tunnel passing through the fault fracture zone is quite easy to be destroyed seriously. Therefore, developing dynamic response analysis and shock absorption measures has great practical significance. According to the characteristics of tunnel passing through fault and the tunnel depth, considering a certain proportion relationship in finite element model, the analysis model for tunnel seismic joint is established. Finally comparing the results comprehensively, we discuss the effect of the different setting location and setting separation distance of seismic joint to seismic response of tunnel passing through fault. From the work we have done, we get the seismic joint which is good for tunnel seismic resistance. This method is expected to be adopted as reference to the similar projects.
