Abstract: Recently, Formal Concept Analysis (FCA) have been widely used for various purposes in many different domains such as data mining, machine learning, knowledge management and so on. In this paper, we introduce FCA as the basis for a practical and well founded methodological approach for data analysis which identifies conceptual structures among data sets. As well as, we propose a FCA-based data analysis for discovering association rules by using polarity from social contents. Additionally, we show the experiments that demonstrate how our data analysis approaches can be applied for knowledge discovery by using association rules.

Abstract: The need to securely share information among collaborating entities is increasingly becoming important. It often needed to implement access control (AC) models. The objective of this paper is to design access control policy using formal concept analysis, which is based on mathematical lattice and order theory. We provide discussion on how FCA can be used to capture RBAC constraints. We show with FCA, we can express more intend constrains than it can be done in traditional RBAC approach. The experimental results show that the approach is more resilient to dynamic computer environment.

Abstract: Feature modeling is a main stream technology in domain requirement analysis of software product line engineering. Establishing the traceability between feature model and software architecture plays the essential role in improving software quality. Based on Formal Concept Analysis technology, we proposed a method to verify traceability between feature model and software architecture. The method analyzed the constitution of the feature, defined feature model and software architecture function expression, constructed a concept lattice and presented several mapping criteria to analysis it. It is more applicable for higher complexity model, comparing to the other model traceability method. A case study is used to demonstrate the feasibility of the method.

Abstract: In the face of immense Web pages of WWW, how to extract valuable knowledge from the Internet is a difficult problem. The main research work of this paper was to apply FCA (Formal concept analysis) and Web terms on the Web representing the relationship between Web pages and web terms. We deeply studied how to apply Galois to Web page mining, and used the Java language to design the Web pages mining system. The system uses the constructed Galois lattice to extract potential knowledge of WWW. The results prove that the use of Galois Lattices and Web terms for Web pages mining is feasible.
