Abstract: This paper takes example of a foundation pit in Haikou, analyzing the influence on the surrounding buildings in the course of the excavation depth, daily rainfall, foundation form of the building and other factors. The results show that the excavation depth and strong rainfall may lead large deformation of the surrounding buildings, and the deep foundation pit has obvious effect on surrounding building with shallow foundation. Therefore, those factors should be considered adequately in the design and construction of deep foundation pit

Abstract: To classify building founation into shallow foundation and deep foundation is not always right, may lead to erroneous judgement or discrimination, and it is difficult to define the pile partner (Variable Rigidity Pile), so the concepts of direct and indirect footing (foundation) are to be presented for the first time, which seems to be more reasonable and scientific, pile partner can be directly foundation, and can also be indirect foundation, mainly distinguish according to the distance or modulus between pile top and pile cap. If the pile top and pile cap keep at a distance, then it is direct foundation (footing); If the pile top connect to pile cap, connection types can be "rigid joint", "hinged joint", or contact with each other, it is indirect foundation (footing).

Abstract: Based on observation data about foundation settlement of Ji-He expressway in Shandong province, according to the theory of soil mechanics, deduced the prediction model of foundation settlement in linear loading condition.Verified its reliability combined with engineering example.Analyzed the influence factors of key parameters and the causes of errors in the model. The model can be used to estimate the foundation settlement and the process of settlement in the later period and after construction, control embankment filling and pavement construction progress. Providing the basis for evaluating the quality of highway construction and formulate the maintenance measures after construction.

Abstract: When a new building or a heaped load is near to a existing building, the neighboring loads will cause the existing building foundations unevenly settle, tilt or even crack which will affect both the safety and normal use of the buildings. Therefore, it is necessary to strengthen the relate research in this area. In this paper, based on the Flemish theory the additional stress of the building foundation was deduced, and the soil settlement formula was calculated by the splitting summation method. The engineering example showed the influence of the neighboring loads on the existing building foundations.

Abstract: The uplift pressure on the foundation surface is one of the unfavorable factors for the stability of a gravity dam. The seepage/stress coupling character in the rock foundation may make the change of the seepage field which can lead to the change of the value of uplift pressure. In this paper, the seepage/stress coupling in fractured rock masses is studied by the two fields across iterative method with the help of block element method. A gravity dam is studied and the numerical analysis results show that the normal stress can affect the seepage character of rock masses greatly. In the region of high pressure stresses, the transmissivity deduces which can bring about the increment of gradient and velocity. This will bring an adverse impact on the stability of the dam. The coupling of seepage and stress in fractured rock foundation cannot be ignored in arithmetical analysis.

Abstract: Based on review of current study on pile foundation under lateral load, an introduciton is given to some theoretical methods commonly used at home and aboard, with emphasis placed on the elastic subgrade reaction method and the p-y method as well as their characteristics and applicability, and some problems needed for further study are put forward. The present study provides a train of thought for further research on the behavior of large-diameter pile under lateral load.

Abstract: This paper mainly discusses a method based on Wi-Fi network technology cluster bridge safety monitoring system. In bridge safety monitoring center can be displayed at the same time, analysis of many bridge safety monitoring status, is convenient for decision makers to different budgets, optimize regional bridge within cluster maintenance; through the cluster type bridge safety monitoring, can be realized on the spread over a larger area of bridge security state data comparison, unified management, completely changed the previous single bridge safety monitoring system to realize the information sharing between the" information island" situation, more convenient to the regional environment, similar to different bridge structure or different environment, similar to bridge structure safety status of the longitudinal, transverse analysis comparison and research, which is beneficial to promote the optimum design of bridge structure, and based on the bridge maintenance and reinforcement.

Abstract: To analyze refreezing state and permafrost table of the frozen ground for the Qinghai-Tibet DC Transmission Line Engineering, temperature monitoring tests of fine-grained frozen soil were carried out and the thawing depth of backfilled soil was measured in Wudaoliang region of the Tibetan Plateau. The ground temperature fluctuates over time, and the fluctuation characteristics are determined by soil properties, climate, depth and other factors. The seasonally thawed layer is in the shallow of undisturbed frozen ground and backfilled soil. The maximum thawing depth of backfilled soil was about 2.3m more than permafrost table of the undisturbed frozen ground. Soil near the foundation slab was keeping frozen state. The results show that the construction of frozen ground in cold season is helpful to refreeze and keep frozen state of the ground, and can provide a basis for stability analysis of the engineering foundation.

Abstract: As the matter of fact, the soil in all models of the base is considered as a homogeneous isotropic body, ttherefore, existing models of isotropic elastic strata near the buildings does not allow to consider the actual properties of soils: their small-layered structure, the inclination of layers, anisotropy and heterogeneity, in addition it does not take into account the location of objects relative to the plane of the strike of the inclined layers. This article describes the anisotropic (transtropic) calculated elastic model of a complex system of "ground-foundation-structure basis", which most adequately reflects the characteristics of deformation and taking into account the diversity of the elastic properties in different directions relative to the plane of small fibers.
