Abstract: In this paper, a large rotation matrix for geometric nonlinear analysis of frame structures is developed by introducing the Rodrigues formula proposed by Argyris to modify the original rotation scheme of Bathe and Bolourchi. In the deduction, the large rigid body rotation of the beam element is decomposed into the relative translational displacements and the axial rotation respectively. Using Rodrigues formula, the large rotation matrix of rigid body can be calculated and sequentially the nodal transformation matrix of the beam element can be derived. And with this transformation matrix, the equilibrium equations of the beam elements established in the current configuration can be transformed into the original configuration, and then assembled and solved finally. The validity verification of the method would be presented and discussed in the part 2 of this paper.

Abstract: As one of the forms of composite structure system,the steel reinforced concrete(SRC) frame structure has the advantages of high carrying capacity and excellent elastic - plastic.The SRC has been widely used in high-rise structures and bridges. Meanwhile, it has promising application prospects in industrial plant construction. However, there are not many researches on the entity SRC structure in China at present, and many issues need to be explored. In this paper, we will give suggestions of application in the SRC industrial main plant , during designing of SRC frame structure in Daqing city, Heilongjiang province.

Abstract: On the basis of ground geology and hydrogeology of an urban river, a municipal tunnel in which public pipes and cables are placed is designed to cross the river by means of open cut method. The main structure of the municipal tunnel and its waterproof measures are both summarized in this paper. Reinforced concrete frame structure with one story and three box-shaped sections is used in the design of the municipal tunnel. Both self-waterproof structure and waterproof sheet are applied to prevent ground water from permeating into the subaqueous tunnel. The installation of public cables and pipes are still elucidated in the paper. The typical structure of the municipal tunnel can be a guiding reference for the design of other subaqueous tunnel to cross urban rivers under analogous conditions.

Abstract: This paper briefly analyses the principle of MELP vocoder algorithm, and TI's TMS320C5509(C5509) DSP is selected as an implementation platform of 2.4kbps MELP speech-coding algorithm. To ensure the rational and efficient utilization of the limited memory resources, this paper introduces the processing method of MELP algorithm based on frame structure and gives a profound analysis on how to configure its memory space of the selected DSP by analyzing its memory structure and considering the specific circumstances of the MELP vocoder algorithm. Finally, this paper gives the memory configuration during the implementation of MELP vocoder on TI's TMS320C5509 DSP.

Abstract: The safety of a reinforced concrete frame building with cracks on a large area of its wall was investigated by using numerical analysis and field tests. The cracks were caused by the roof additional equipments. The layout of the roof additional equipments was measured to determine their additional loads. The width and depth of existing cracks was also measured. The static strength analysis based on the finite element technique is used to evaluate the influence of the additional loads on structural strength. The research results show the unreasonable supports of additional loads and the insufficient stiffness of secondary beams are the main reasons for causing cracks on the wall, and a reinforcement and repair thought for the building is proposed.

Abstract: With the development of construction technology and construction equipment, now almost all industrial and civil buildings are changing to frame structure. As a result of the differences in floor height, span and the thickness of the cast-in-place floor slab, so the frame column and beam stress is different. When the stress exceeds a certain limit, then it will result in the problem of “strong beam weak column”, and this affects the quality of the buildings, thus how to solve the strong beam weak column caused by the cast-in-place floor slab becomes very meaningful.

Abstract: This document explores the possibility of the discrete element method (DEM) being applied in nonlinear dynamic analysis of space frame structures. The method models the analyzed object to be composed by finite particles and the Newton’s second law is applied to describe each particle’s motion. The parallel-bond model is adopted during the calculation of internal force and moment arising from the deformation. The procedure of analysis is vastly simple, accurate and versatile. Numerical examples are given to demonstrate the accuracy and applicability of this method in handling the large deflection and dynamic behaviour of space frame structures. Besides, the method does not need to form stiffness matrix or iterations, so it is more advantageous than traditional nonlinear finite element method.

Abstract: In this paper, with a high-intensity reinforced concrete frame structure as the prototype, the calculation of isolated structures is through mature finite element software or MIDAS / Gen to calculate and analyze the five structure models of the 8 degrees Area established as the original five-layer structure model. The results show that the use of steel or reinforced concrete in floor will increase the structural seismic response with the interlaminar shear and interlaminar displacement increase. And storey isolation structure’s acceleration response is significantly less than that of the non-isolated structure.

Abstract: This paper makes a comparison between computer and hand computation of joint core area according to an example of typical engineering. Firstly, author summarized the common problems and erroneous judgments which are likely to happen in the software calculation of joint core in engineering design, and then analyzed the causes to these problems, and provided hand calculation solutions to related problems according to standard formulas. Author analyzed and proved that the reinforcement calculation of joint core area for frame structure calculation is not only necessary, but also can conveniently solve the coordination problems in the related terms of “Concrete Structure Design Norm”, “Earthquake Resistant Design Code” and “Concrete Structure Engineering Operation Standard”, and is also the supplement for the uncovered parts of computer calculation.
