Abstract: Standardization is the activity of normalizing norms and rules which are in general obligatory for products, services and methods of measurement, control and testing. One of the main demands to the methods of analysis is to ensure a certain level of accuracy. Requirements for the analysis sequence and the accuracy of the measurement data are the result of a compromise between the consumer and the supplier of the analysis. It is suggested to use functional-target analysis in order to determine the relations between the properties and functions of the object. On the example of X-ray fluorescence analysis it is shown that it is possible to formulate the functions of the researched object and analyze the properties which are necessary to put these functions into practice. It allows for determining such indicators of the analytical method that can be assessed quantitatively. Such approach can be used to construct mathematical models to estimate the degree of accuracy required for solving specific problems of consumers of precise measurement information.

Abstract: The principal route of success in construction is, according to most experts, economic competitiveness, and the main conditions are: the correct management of cost and quality of construction works and services in the competitive market. Analysis Method and Value Engineering allow the development of competitiveness (efficiency) construction firms in a meaningful, durable and this in an economic environment more complex and evolving. The proposed methodology seeks to solve these problems and give a reply in this regard and create the possibility of reducing the price of construction.

Abstract: The paper suggests and develops a cascade probability method (in particular, for flows of plasma particles), the essence of which is to obtain and apply cascade probability functions (CPF) to cases of different particles. CPF is the probability of particles formed at a certain depth h' reaching a certain depth h after i collisions. The work has considered the interaction of particles with matter; yielded the general solution for cascade probability method and a particular solution for the case of a collided particle not changing its direction and the flow rate not depending on time.

Abstract: When dealing with a specific development issue, designers have at their disposal a wide range of skills and their implicit knowledge, enabling them to conceptualize the appropriate solution pertaining to the problem. In developing and applying these solutions, the efficiency of the designers is often dependent on their appropriate use of analysis and creativity skills, their experience, as well as the existing knowledge stored in the company or other accessible databases. This paper presents a case study on a containers transport mechanism in order to highlight the activities, used tools and the advantages considered for the functional design based on functional-constructive knowledge stored in databases as a main phase of a new advanced product design process.

Abstract: The paper deals with constructive and functional elements of an adjustable coupling with friction disks and adjustable driving planar mechanisms. The paper shows few conceptual and functional principles, introduce a new function for couplings and a new class of centrifugal couplings. It also presents structural elements of an innovative constructive solution of a centrifugal clutch with friction disks and adjustable centrifugal driving.

Abstract: Different works on the functional design and functional vocabularies area have been accomplished. The function has become the key element of the design process of a product and many researchers have focussed their work on developing functional taxonomies which can be used as a basis for functional design. One of the main disadvantages on the research performed in this domain is that a clear correlation between proposed functions and a product part or structure cannot be shown. This paper presents a new configuration of a functional taxonomy which can be easier correlated with the structure of the product, as an input of a knowledge database for supporting engineering design activity, as well a structure of the database system and a preview of its content.

Abstract: The article presents results of the research focused on modification of special lightweight plasters with decorative function. Several raw material types from secondary resources were used for the formula modifications. The finest fraction of aggregates, i.e. to 0.2mm was replaced with these raw materials. The attention was mainly paid to the thermal technical, diffusion and capillary-sorptive parameters. Except expanded perlite the influence of substitution components did not took any significant effects.

Abstract: In a novel approach of task based conceptual design method by proper synthesis and analyzes tools mechanism and function entities are modified, turned into and considered as extendable and squeezable ones , so systemized search of optimal structural solutions inside those entities leads the designer to satisfaction of prior given set of functions. Conceptual design generation procedure includes task simplification phase where a key function (s) based mechanical model is composed and its further development into final concept requires gradual satisfaction of remained pre given functions. Two major sources of mechanical solutions are used for function satisfaction. First is existing knowledge on mechanism available as database and the second source is self-generation of mechanisms by granting DOF action, both procedures strictly implemented in a function targeted manner. The database itself is available in different formats depending on application, tutorial or systemizing purposes. Current study discloses the approaches and methods of modification of mechanisms from database into models and formats applicable and suitable for being used in proposed task based conceptual design method.

Abstract: Through an in-depth study of the research content, basic concepts and applicable typical examples of data structure, it is found out that data structure is powerful in the process of information representation and information processing with a computer with the increase of information and expansion of information range and could abstract a mathematical model from concrete things and solve practical issues in the work and life.
