Abstract: This article deals with the aggregate segregation of ultra-high performance concrete. The main objective of this research was to determine which aspects of the design most affect segregation. It was studied the change of grading curve, water/powder ratio and consistency. Quartz sand with approximately rounded grains and maximum aggregate size up to 4 mm was used for the production of specimens. Segregation was evaluated after cutting the hardened concrete specimens according to the drop of grains of aggregate. The results show that segregation is by the far most affected by the consistency of concrete. Change of the grading curve or change the water/powder ratio has had no or little influence on segregation.

Abstract: Due to the special environment of the tunnel, the paper developed a kind of antiflaming, warm-mix and noise reduction asphalt mixture combined with engineering practice chishui tunnel project in jiangxi province. Asphalt mixture has good performance in low mixing temperature, flame retardant, noise reduction and better performance by using AMP flame-retardant and Evotherm DAT warmed-mix technology. A series of test are carried out to analyze the characteristics of high temperature rutting, low temperature crack resistance and water stability of warmed mix flame retardant noise reduction asphalt mixture and Ordinary hot mix asphalt mixture. The result show that, compared with the pavement performance of ordinary hot mix asphalt mixture AC-13, the new type of asphalt mixture OGFC-13 has good cooling, flame retardant and noise reduction performance.

Abstract: Kinematic chains differ due to the structural differences between them. The location of links, joints and loops differ in each kinematic chain to make it unique. Two similar kinematic chains will produce similar motion properties and hence are avoided. The performance of these kinematic chains also depends on the individual topology, i.e. the placement of its entities. In the present work an attempt has been made to compare a family of kinematic chains based on its structural properties. The method is based on identifying the chains structural property by using its JOINT LOOP connectivity table.
Nomenclature
J - Number of joints, F - Degree of freedom of the chain, N - Number of links, L - Number of basic loops (independent loops plus one peripheral loop).

Abstract: High temperature, low temperature, water stability and fatigue test were done for three types of modified asphalt mixture of intermediate course used in high-grade highway engineering in Northeast region. The asphalt mixture design scheme with excellent performance suitable for application of intermediate course was selected for reference in Northeast area.

Abstract: Because the reflectivity of astaxanthin vary in different bands (mainly 400nm-600nm), so we use the visible-near infrared spectra technique to irradiate the salmon. Because in daily life, people grade the salmon flesh with a color card. In this paper, we first use principal component analysis to reduce the dimensionality of the spectral data of salmon, then use linear discriminant analysis method, least squares support vector machine classification method to distinguish the flesh quality. The correct classification rates are 60%and73.3%. The results show that we can use visible – near infrared spectra to distinguish the quality of the salmon which doesn’t be dissected.

Abstract: Grey relational analysis (GRA) is an important data handling techniques. In this paper, combining the characteristics of asphalt mixture, the method of GRA is applied to the study of coarse grading. The high temperature stability, low temperature cracking resistance and water stability of asphalt mixture with different grading were evaluated in the laboratory. The results showed that OGFC-25 gradation apply to asphalt mixture that demand high temperature stability. Similarly, ATB-25 gradation benefit low temperature performance and SUP-25 benefit water stability.

Abstract: In order to implement the accuracy and robust classification of Chinese dates according to size and color based on computer vision techniques on line, the method of classification according to size and color for Chinese date was studied. Taking the black rollers as background, the Chinese date images were pre-segmented by double thresholds in RGB color space. Through morphological operation, contour trace and region fill, the whole Chinese date target was obtained. the maximum diameter value was used to be the character value for size classification. The difference of saturation and hue of pericarp area in HIS color space was the color grading criteria. The results indicated that the accuracy of diameter measurement is 1.92mm, Experiment results proved the methods is effective to classify Chinese date by size and shape.

Abstract: The settlement of the American West was directly dependent on the extraction of resources including minerals, precious metals, timber, and the commerce that resulted. The infrastructure that developed around these extraction activities was intended to be merely functional, and therefore temporary. Readily available forest resources made timber structures relatively inexpensive and easy to build; they could be put into service quickly and were adequate to immediate needs. Many of these structures survive today at former mining and milling sites, along with remnants of the railroad lines that served them. Together they provide a compelling picture of the development of the American West and the technologies used to extract, refine, and transport the materials that initiated settlement of the region. Preservation of these sites and structures poses many interesting problems: Most of the structures were designed to meet short-term needs and have already outlasted their intended service life; Most of the structures were strictly utilitarian, and maintenance of them was discontinued when mining or logging operations ceased; Exposure of these structures to severe weather conditions is typical. The structures are at remote sites and access is extremely limited; Many of the structures are dangerous due to the extent of deterioration and proximity to open mines, adits, and industrial waste. In this presentation, the authors will use three case studies to illustrate preservation issues common to remote resource extraction sites, techniques used to access the timber structures, and some of the stabilization strategies implemented at each of the sites. The case studies include the aerial tramway of the Keane Wonder Mine in Death Valley National Park, the Cable Mountain Draw Works in Zion National Park, and the Hanging Flume in Colorado.

Abstract: In order to make up for the lack of natural grade warning, we sought a new method for judging the losses of storm surges. Firstly apply entropy method etc to grade storm surges into 4 levels (mild, moderate, heavy and extra heavy) according to economic loss indices in Zhejiang Province. Then develop BP neural network to forecast losses with the selected indicators of natural, social and economic conditions. Comparing forecast grades with the actual value, we found the accuracy of grade prediction is 80%. It shown the grading results and predicting method are reliable and could be used for the grades of economic losses forecast of storm surges in future.

Abstract: In this paper, polycarboxylate superplasticizer (PC) was separated by ultrafiltration to investigate function on dispersion of various portions of PC. It is found there is a grading effect on the dispersion and adsorption of polycarboxylate superplasticizer, through fluidity and adsorption experiments.
