Abstract: This study proposes the use of solar energy by thermal way, to heat water using a flat solar collector whose absorber is equipped with straight fins. The study concerns the optimization of the height of the fins and is based on the criterion of the absorbed energy with the necessary condition, the realization of the black body at the absorber. For this work, the relationship between the fins height, the fins pitch, the coordinates of the sun and the ones of the collector was established in order to determine, for each period of the day, the number of reflections. The absorbed energy during each of the two unfavorable days and for each given fin height was evaluated. The results show that the optimal height is equal to 5 mm all the days of the year considered. A height less than 5 mm will generate a very significant loss while a height superior to 5 mm generates an insignificant gain

Abstract: Seedling growth traits of 24 provenances of Larix principis-rupprechtii were analyzed to select superior provenances. Variance and correlation on height, basal diameter, root length, root and stem fresh weight of 1-year old and 2-year old seedlings of those provenances were analyzed. Then correlation coefficients between these growth traits and membership value of height and basal diameter of 24 provenances were carried on. Results showed that variance on growth traits of 1-year old seedlings among 24 provenances were only significant for height, but for basal diameter, height, root and stem fresh weight of 2-year old seedlings. Based on correlation coefficients between growth traits, height and basal diameter were selected for comprehensive evaluation. The top 5 provenances of Larix principis-rupprechtii were Neimeng Balinzuo, Hebei Weichang 1-21, 7-46, 8-75, and Beijing, according to average of membership value of height and basal diameter.

Abstract: Single man-sieving sand materials were tested in Constructed Rapid Infiltration System (CRI). We selected two different sand sizes as filling filter materials, with three different heights in 15cm, 30cm and 45cm respectively. The system was operated for totally 11 periods in 33 days under a hydraulic load of 1.5m/d and wetting-drying ratios of 1:5. Relevant data about COD, N and P in the effluent are then analyzed. Results show that Constructed Rapid Infiltration System can effectively remove the pollutants in municipal wastewater, thus reduce the adverse effects to local area, which can be feasible to apply as the secondary treatment in small towns. Test shows that under the selected hydraulic load and wetting-drying ratios, the optimal operation condition is the 45cm-high packed column, with the removal rate of 35~75% COD, 50~100% dissolved orthophosphate and 55~98% TP, which was far beyond the normal CRI removal rate of TP as low as 30%, to imply a innovation method for integrated waste water treatment system, especially for TP

Abstract: Studied on improved varieties and its parents growth characteristics. Discusses the Populus fine varieties Populus alba×Populus bolleana with its parents differences to promote varieties of Populus to provide a theoretical basis for Populus alba×Populus bolleana .The results showed:(1) Comparison of 3 varieties height accumulative increment consistent, individual difference were not significant. (2) 3 poplar varieties cumulative growth of DBH have difference, xinjiang Poplar DBH growth in the 2-8 years was slow , while the Populus alba Linn. and Populus alba×Populus bolleana continued to grow. 3 varieties DBH growth contrasts: Populus alba×Populus bolleana > Populus alba Linn.> Populus alba.(3) Populus is significantly lower than the volume growth Populus alba×Populus bolleana. Populus alba×Populus bolleana volume growth in 15 years and still maintain a high level of greater than Populus alba Linn.Populus alba Linn.and Populus alba.before the Populus alba×Populus bolleana arrivals the quantitative maturity .

Abstract: Spray distribution uniformity is a very important performance of nozzle. This paper analyses the spray uniformity of the spraying machinery as well as the influence factors. Spray distribution coefficient of variation of nozzles varies with the different spray pressure, spray pressure and spacing. The nozzles of lechler ST made in German were tested to present the optimum spray height with different spray pressure and spray spacing through analyzing the trend of coefficient of variation varying with the different spray pressure, spray height and spray spacing. By the test, the greatest impact on spray uniformity is the pressure of the spray bar, followed by the height and the spacing of the spray bar. By analysis of the spray distribution coefficient of variation, we find the optimum combination of the spray pressure, spray height and spray spacing.
