Abstract: The widespread adoption of broadband Internet connections has led to a fast growth of applying web-based learning systems (LS) to education, LS becomes more important in e-learning and future education. LS provides a centralized environment where learners can study, communicate, etc. With the Internets growth, various learning contents and different LSs are distributed independently. Thus, managing the distributed information and implementing interoperability between learning contents and LSs are more challenging. Web services are the most innovative and well-established technology for communications between heterogeneous applications. This paper proposes the architectural model for sharing learning contents between heterogeneous systems. It includes requirements analysis, sharable learning contents format definition, and model design. Sharable learning contents is defined based on the concept of learning object and implemented in the favor of transactional memory. The model is divided into five modules for different tasks, which implements maximum reuse of high-quality educational resources on web conveniently.

Abstract: Independent task scheduling algorithms in distributed computing systems deal with three main conflicting factors including load balance, task execution time and scheduling cost. In this paper, the problem of scheduling tasks arriving at a low rate and with long execution time in heterogeneous computing systems is studied, and a new scheduling algorithm based on prediction is proposed. This algorithm evaluates the utility of task scheduling based on statistics and prediction to solve the influence of heterogeneous computing systems. The experimental results reveal that the proposed algorithm adequately balances the conflicting factors, and thus performs better than some classical algorithms such as MCT and MET when the parameters are well selected.

Abstract: It was studied the heterogeneous discipline of tungsten smelting solution system. The consequences showed that the heterogeneous degree of WO42- was greater than that of Clˉ, heterogeneous rate was presented the trend of first increased and then decreased. The heterogeneous phenomenon of density lesser OHˉ ion was not obvious. The heterogeneous degree of WO42-, Clˉ and OHˉwas matched with their ratio of quality to radius, the heterogeneous rate of big viscosity aqua was much slower.

Abstract: Hamiltonian of the solid body with a crack inside in field of tensile stresses was derived. Hamiltonian equations describe process of crack propagation. A crack propagation was considered in heterogeneous material when in ground matrix present inclusions with work-of-fracture per unit surface significantly greater than in the matrix. Condition of cracks arrest in such system was found and length of path, passed until crack’s stop, was calculated.

Abstract: Nowadays, most data in enterprise systems is still stored in relational databases, which
brings the majority of difficulties to achieve information interoperation between enterprise-level
heterogeneous systems. In this context, we propose a middleware to integrate information from
heterogeneous enterprise system based on XML standard. The proposed integration architecture aims
at providing a coherent and meaningful view of the integrated heterogeneous information systems by
leverage the back-end relational data sources. The architecture of the middleware relies on the
well-known mediator/wrapper architecture and satisfies the semantic integration features by several
main functions including data descriptions, schema transformations and integrations based on the
XML-Schema standard.

Abstract: Using self-consistent effective-medium theory, we studied the complex elastic
compliances of conducting disordered heterogeneous piezoelectric-polymer systems. The
considered system is a random mixture of piezoelectric spheroids and polymer ones with the same
orientation. The proximate cause of the effective elastic constants frequency dependencies was
considered. The nature of the obtained spectra was analyzed.
